Hello again, my coffee loving friends. This week's rule set challenge is called "Going the Distance." In this rule set, you are only allowed to use range units. There are multiple ways to take advantage of this rule set. You can improve your unit's attacks by using summoners like General Sloan or decrease the enemy units attacks with summoners like Contessa L'ament. There are also other summoners that excel with both such as Prophet Rosa, wherein you can either increase your unit's attacks or be defensive by applying Shield to one of your units.

Something exciting that happened as I do this challenge is I notice something strange, something that shouldn't be there. Now, for the record, I am not sure if this is a bug or intended. But if you replay the battle for this one, right at the start, you may notice a word, "Aim True" when Prophet Rosa gives the extra 2 range to my units.

Aim True is a rule set that does not increase the unit's attacks but rather, make their attacks unmissable. Whether that is a bug or just a happy coincidence, gladly, it did not affect anything in that battle and the extra 2 range attacks were granted as normal.

STRATEGY

---

I had Prophet Rosa's extra damage to two of my units that would benefit the most from it. The abilities of Drybone Bowdog and Nimbledook Ranger are a perfect example on how you can abuse Prophet Rosa's insane Summoner's Tactics.

Alternative Strategy: If you want to defend instead of attack and slowly wither your enemies, you can use Prophet Rosa's Shield and apply it to Gargoya Devil. He would be able to properly take advantage of Shield along with his Close Range to be that Range tank you can use at the front.

In this battle, I used the summoner, Prophet Rosa and units, Venari Marksrat, Gargoya Devil, Angelic Mandarin, Drybone Bowdog, Nimbledook Ranger .

Quick Stats

Level 1: Rare Summoner. Allows level 1 common, level 1 rare, level 1 epic and level 1 legendary. +2 Range (2): Up to two friendly Units have increased 2 Range damage Shield: Up to one friendly unit have reduced damage from Melee and Ranged attacks

Martyr	Flying - Close Range
1. Level 1: Even though he cannot attack while in the front, if killed, the Martyr ability will be very useful for increasing Gargoya Devil's stats.	2. Level 1: Gargoya Devil is a mandatory unit for Going the Distance. That Close Range ability is a very strong ability since range units cannot attack while at the front, except if they have Close Range.	3. Level Rare: A very low cost range unit that can double as a tank due to his high health.

Scattershot - Ambush	Snipe - Double Strike
4. Level 1: I added an extra 2 daamge to Drybone Bowdog for the extra damage during Ambush stage. With that, I am already ahead of 3 damage against my enemies.	5. Level 1: Nimbledook Ranger is usually weak. That's why I have Prophet Rosa's extra 2 range attack to the rescue. With the 2 range attack, combined with Double Strike, he can now inflict 6 damage per round instead of 2.
