Battle Mage Secrets, Weekly Challenge, Target Practice

Sometimes you win some, sometimes you don’t, that is what happened this week for me, I thought I had a great lineup for a good win, but it just did not work out for me. I just needed some protection to really nail this fight… Also, flying away can really help you!

No shields, so lots of damage that can be done on this one, the hard part is just to make sure that you hit, but so many ways to do that!

The battle that we are examining for this one is a low-level mana cap at 14 plus:

Healed Out: All Healing abilities are removed from Monsters and Summoners.
Unprotected:Monsters do not have any armor and do not get the armor abilities or Summoner Buffs.

Low mana on this one, but I feel I have a good lineup on this one, the healed out changes things a little bit since it will begin to focus on just having people there, damage and high health are the name of this game.

First up, the Summoner:

Knowing the low mana count on this one, I wanted to make sure that I could pack some punches with my hits, also having that extra health should mean my peeps stay around a little longer on this one.

The front line was the Scorch Fiend

This card is here for the 0 cost, always great in low mana fights, but then throwing in a couple of hit points and decent damage if it hits, this will help my strategy by keeping some people alive longer.

An important fight on this one, 1 mana again, 3 health, so it should take a hit or two to keep me in the fight.

Low mana again, but slowing them down is the name of the game with this one, making sure that I go before them.

This is the second part of the strategy on this one, the first to hit that backline, doing damage is important, but I want to make sure to take out those supporting cast.

Next up:

The second part of the strategy on this one, hitting that backline is very important, which is the goal with the sneak on this one, adding tarsa it should knock them down quickly.

This is a small fight due to the mana, but important for every choice. Hitting that backline with melee was the key, hoping my front line sticks around just long enough to knock them down and then having the Striker take up the tank position since he has the highest health to win.

The enemy went light on this one, nothing too great with it, but my back line strategy is a good counter to it, they will take out that speed reduction with the snipe, but other than that it should be a good win.

I should have won this one, but the RNG (random number god) messed with me, three misses in a row is what caused me to lose, just did not work in my favor because of it, any one of them hitting would have changed the fight dramatically, apparently the flight on 2 of their monsters is what took it for me.

Things to keep in mind with the Unprotected ruleset:
•Make sure that you will be hitting, high speed helps with this
•Sneak and opportunity can take out the monsters besides the tank
•Don’t be afraid to try something weird, sometimes it works out well!
