Share Your Battle, Weekly Challenge, The Magi of Death, Necrosi!
This next installment of the Share Your Battle weekly challenges has an awesome card in Magi Necrosi! A being that that will go to battle to keep their pizza!
The Death splinter is a great counter splinter, it is okay in bronze, but it really starts to get going in Silver rankings and above, anyway, to the card at hand!
This is a standard card for me with the Death lineup, it is great in the back row knocking with that 2 magic damage along with the 4 speed, but the snipe helps a lot for the damage aspect, the other really good one is Camouflage, the enemy can’t target him, a great thing!
Before we get to the battle, let’s look at the history and the lore that has been written about Magi Necrosi (by Splinterlands.com), if you like the lore check out Splinterlore:
Four hundred years before the first rift opened, the first whispers of chaos brought dark beasts under a blood moon to the Tower of Azdurj. Creatures of nightmare began hunting by night, lurking the valleys and crawling on the wind.
In desperation, the acolytes of Azdurj sought forbidden tomes, long sealed beneath their tower. By the candlelight of hidden recesses within their tower's crypt, the first Necrosi were born. Forged to battle the spawn of Chaos, these bounty hunters are eager to take up the fight.
“By the light of the full moon, I first walked upon the sundered lands as a faceless brother of the Black Sign, my life as an uncloaked all but forgotten.
With glittering siphilum coursing through my veins, I saw the first shadows cast by new eyes, and my heart was full.
I had survived the transmutation and was eager to don my cloak and gauntlets, symbols of the trials I faced to take this form...and the perils of the coming Doom.”
The battle that we are examining for this one is a medium battle, with 32 mana cap along with:
Target Practice: All Ranged and Magic attack Monsters have the Snipe ability
Unprotected: Monsters do not have any armor and do not get armor from Abilities or Summoner Buffs.
Adding more on top of this only Earth and Death Splinters allowed.

This battle is coming through under the Silver Modern Ranked battles.
Here is the quick link to the battle: (Link) However, I will break it down, then you might want to watch again.
First up, the Summoner:
This is where some counter begins, I wanted to bring in a powerful gladius card, but the -1 health is very nice to start with, the conscript allows the gladiator.
The front line is a very strong card for a rare card:
A great tank with the 10 health, decent speed and decent damage, but the ability, Thorns, which is another counter ability that just hits right, every time a melee attack hits, they will take 2 damage.
The next up is a decent off-tank for the Death Splinter
Knowing that snip will hit that first non-melee monster I put the Riftwing in, flight they can miss, but the scavenger ability makes sure it will gain health as the battle goes on.
Next up comes a ranged attack.
Good speed on this one, plus the bloodlust ability means it should be doing lots of damage, and once the Windeku gets taken out it will be the target of the snipes, should have enough health at that point to stay alive.
A decent position due to the low health on this one, it can get some hits in because it is protected from the front, but then not all the way in the back to protect against sneak attack damage.
The second last card is to protect a little bit of that backside
0 mana cost is the big part of this one, but then it can take a hit from sneak attack, which is a good thing!
Last is the monster of the hour:
I have Necrosi here for a couple of things, with camouflage in there, he won’t get hit until the last possible chance, meanwhile he is just sitting there sniping away!
Did my strategy work, yes and no, the main reason I won was due to the thorns, but the 1 damage always happening was a good thing, the enemy had two sneak attackers that just took out my backline, Necrosi was able to stay alive, which was one of the better aspects of it, at least I still had the damage going.
Magi Necrosi is a great epic Death card and I highly recommended, he stays alive and if they don’t do negative magic, a good amount of damage is dished out!
