Share Your Battle, Weekly Challenge, Pizza over Lava? The Djinn Inferni!

When you are seeking revenge, what is a good way to think about it, Pizza, and if you can call up some lava, why not make it a toasty crust!

Starting off, fire with Chaos Legion has moved to a very melee heavy builds, mostly due to Tarsa giving that boost to melee and health, the health is huge, but sometimes you need some extra damage from the middle with some magic!
Enter Djinn Inferni:

3 magic damage, 3 speed means it will be around doing some damage quickly, the 4 health does hurt, but that is okay. The giant killer ability, helps a lot in high mana fights, but didn’t play a factor in this one.

Before we get to the battle, let’s look at the history and the lore that has been written about Djinn Inferni (by Splinterlands.com):
Djinn Inferni is the eldest of the ancient wardens of fire, spirits of flame that dwell in the deepest rivers of stone. Second only to Lord Janai himself, he is prideful and cunning, but fiercely loyal to his master. With the opening of the rift and the betrayal of Djinn Muriat he has taken up a blood oath of vengeance against the chaos exercitus, rising to the surface to lay waste to the enemies of stone and fire.

The singing stones had whispered at their coming, the Great Legion, agents of chaos from beyond the void but Lord Jannah had not listened. When the rift finally tore open the world the veins of the mother called to me, her vermarine song of quartz and ash a lament to the war above. I rise to the surface now, enduring the stink of water and flesh for a chance to turn the odds in our favor. With fire and death we will restore these lands and end her lament. On the mother's heart I swear it.

The battle that we are examining for this one had a middling mana cap at 40 mana, plus:

Fire and Regret: All Monsters have the Return Fire Ability
Tis but Scratches: All Monsters have the Cripple Ability

This is an interesting set of rules on this one, the cripple is a new addition to the game, basically every hit decreases the maximum hit points available for the monster, it hurts through shields.

Here is the quick link to the battle: (Link) however, I will break it down, then you might want to watch again.

First up, the Summoner:

Tarsa is great on this one, coming from the fire splinter Tarsa is great on this one, brings a good amount of melee damage and health, the important thing on this is that extra health. That health is a big thing, but then having the big hitters help out as well in the melee damage.

The front line was The Forgotten One:

Not a lot of speed on this one, but the armor helps and the 9 hit points, should keep it around for a little while, but when you throw in the 4 melee, that becomes 5, very nice.

Next up is the off-tank

Some damage with the magic on this one, not a lot of health, but the idea was to do some damage to keep the next cards in line alive longer.

The Card of the hour!

The quickness along with the 3 magic damage should knock some people down quickly, keeping them alive helps as well, being in the middle it should be lobbing spells for awhile.

The striker is in this spot for the two damage and the 6 health, but the sneak means I am going to be hitting the backline hard on this one.

Next up is a great card as well

Keeping it here is a good thing, it can protect the back a little, but then the enemy will be doing less damage to me as well.

The last card is a great reward card for the fire splinter

Uraeus is great with the sneak attack, I wanted to protect the back line a little more, make sure that disintegrator stays alive a little longer, with the shield it should be able to take 2 hits.

My strategy did work with Uraeus taking those couple of hits, that worked well, then the armor and the massive attack from the Forgotten One took out the front line, then the opponent didn’t play well to the ruleset in using a ranged attack, the return fire made sure they went down quickly. Overall a great win!

Djinn Inferni is a great addition to your Fire splinter, it is an epic that is well worth the price to pick up, especially for high mana fights, the giant killer comes into play and doing 6 attack, that is awesome especially when it is magic. Pick it up today!
