Lore

There was never a more respected champion than Adelade Brightwing. Born and raised in the city of Centrum in Draykh-Nahka, Adelade always had a burning desire to help others. Growing up so near to the military base inspired her journey. She loved watching soldiers in their gleaming armor walk the streets of the city. She also enjoyed watching dragons soar through the skies, hoping one day she could fly as well.
As a young woman, Adelade joined the military at the youngest age permissible. She quickly was promoted through the ranks and become well-known for her assertive leadership. As well as for her faith in her deity, the Sky Lady. Goddess of the heavens, of light, and of honor in battle.
Adelade led the most powerful legions against the evilest of armies. Devils, demons, and all monstrosities fell before her. She was the champion of the Twenty Day Battle of The Sands against an army of undead. And due to her great heroics, she was brought before the Temple of the Sky Lady. Bestowed upon her was an enchantment that allowed her to sprout white wings and fly. It was the highest honor bestowed to followers of the goddess.
With the ability of flight, Adelade now turns her fury against the Chaos Legion to stop their spread of evil.

Rental Cost

Even though Adelade Brightwing is a Legendary card, she is quite affordable. For only 1.30 DEC per day, you can have her services for the day and provide you wins in a lot of games especially in Silver League where most of the Rule Sets apply and sometimes on every turn.

Buy/Sell Cost

If you have extra funds, purchasing the level 4 of the card for $98 gives you a few discount. It's good for both the collection power and the card strength as well. The level up on Adelade Brightwing provides extra abilities which also provides better support for the team. Always make sure that you have the necessary level for the summoner before purchasing higher leveled monster cards.

Card Stats

Stats.jpg

Adelade Brightwing's stats is on a decent side. The abilities is what makes this card broken. The 5 health is good for her to survive a few hits and the Resurrect ability provides another chance of getting back in the game.

Card Effect

Flying || Has an increased chance of evading Melee or Ranged attacks from Monsters who do not have the Flying ability.
Flying is an ability that helps in two aspects, dodge against non flying monsters and against earthquake damage. Monsters with Flying has increased dodge from monsters without any Flying ability. Flying also negates any damage from Earthquake Rule Set.

Resurrect || When a friendly Monster dies it is brought back to life with 1 Health. This ability can only trigger once per battle.
Resurrect allows your monster to live a fatal blow. The monster is revived with 1 health BUT with all their armor. That means this ability is best used in congruent with monsters with high armor. Monsters revived are also cleared from any buff and debuff upon resurrection. An example would be if a monster is poisoned, when the monster is revived, the poison will be gone.

Immunity || This monster is immune to negative status effects
Immunity is very straightforward. This is most useful against Noxious Fumes Rule Set. With Immunity in Noxious Rule Set, the monster will not be applied with the poison and will be safe from the poison damage. On the other hand, this doesn't work against Earthquake Rule Set as Earthquake damage is not considered as a status effect but as a melee damage against all non-flying monsters per turn.

Repair || Restores some armor to the friendly Monster whose armor has taken the most damage.
Repair activates on any ally monsters on the field, not only on the first position monster. If you have someone on the back with more damage to their armor, that monster will be prioritized instead.

Swiftness || All friendly Monsters have 1 increased Speed.
Another straightforward ability. Swiftness increases speed by 1. The higher the speed, the earlier the monster can act. It also works on the hit/dodge mechanics. Each speed difference allows 10% dodge against attacks and 10% higher chance to hit if you're the attacker.

When to use

Earthquake || Monsters without flight ability will be hit with 2 melee damage after every round ends. Snared monsters will take 2 melee damage from earthquake per turn too.

Earthquake is an advantage for Adelade Brightwing because of Flying Ability. The Flying ability allows the monster with the ability negates the damage came from Earthquake Rule Set. This also allows additional dodge for melee and ranged damage as long as they do not have any flying as well. Since Adelade Brightwing uses magic, snipers normally targets him and Flying provides dodge chance on those attacks.

Noxious Fumes || All monsters start the game poisoned and will take 2 damage each turn unless cleansed. Big HP and cleanse are going to be your best bet here. However there may be some cases where you ignore and go for a big offensive attack and wipe out your opponent before the poison becomes a factor.

Noxious Fumes is normally a negative rule set for everyone except for Adelade Brightwing. If you unlock the Immunity ability, it negates the Poison debuff for Adelade Brightwing. This is a huge advantage as it negates the 2 damage per turn in which your opponent suffers and probably lose the game for this battle.

Reverse Speed || Slower monsters attack first. Try to pick monsters with speeds of 1. Speed effects how soon your monster will attack in battle and how effective it is at evading attacks. So a monster with a speed of 1 would normally attack last now will attack first. A speed of 1 will also have the best chance of dodging if paired with evade and flying as well.

Reverse Speed is good for Adelade Brightwing because of her low speed. Combined with Flying Ability, it allows for a higher chance of dodge against other creatures and monsters. It also allows Adelade Brightwing to hit first and probably kill some monsters before they hit especially in clutch moments.

When not to use

Back to Basics || Monsters lose their own abilities. Summoner effects such as those that give abilities to monsters still take effect.

With the myriads of skills and abilities that Adelade Brightwing has, disruption of these from Back to Basics is a big negative. The Rule set disables all skills in which almost all are advantageous to you as it increases your team's survivability.

Unprotected || Monsters do not have any armor and do not get armor from Abilities or Summoner Buffs.

Unprotected is a bad for Adelade Brightwing as she has a Repair ability that increases armor. With unprotected, this ability is effectively shuts down as ALL monsters have negated armor and any abilities that Repairs or increases armor like Protect are negated and are not available for use.

Lost Magic || Magical Monsters can't be used. Your armor will play a very important role here. Get summoner which provides armor. (Drake of Arnak, The Peakrider, Chanseus the Great, Tyrus Paladium, Lir Deepswimmer). Or maybe one that takes armor away from your opponent. (Wizard of Eastwood) And, if possible use a monster that can penetrate.

Lost Magic disables Adelade Brightwing entirely because she uses magic damage. Any magic user are not allowed during that battle regardless of how high the level is. This is a big disadvantage as Adelade Brightwing provides a huge advantage to any team for the increased survivability.

This is the positioning I used for this battle:

Positioning.jpg

In this battle, I had Chaos Knight take the front position while she's supported by Adelade Brightwing and Celestial Harpy for both damage and sneak blocker.

Round 1

Round 1 End.jpg

By end of Round 1, No damage was made to Chaos Knight as her Shield ability reduced most of the damage and the other damage that went through was repaired by Adelade Brightwing.

Round 2

Round 2 End.jpg

By end of Round 2, Chaos Knight's armor took a bit of damage but not as much as Living Lava who do not have any supports.

Round 3

Round 3 End.jpg

By end of Round 3, Living Lava dies reducing my opponent's total damage immensely. My opponent's Lava Spider is sniping my Adelade Brightwing but the damage is low and has a chance of evading the damage as well.

Round 4

Round 4 End.jpg

By end of Round 4, Magma Troll also dies leaving Lava Spider alone in the battle.

Round 5

Round 5 End.jpg

Game ended without a scratch from Chaos Knight and a bit of damage to Adelade Brightwing.
