Splinterlands Weekly Challenge: Lava Spider

The strategy

This battle was mid-mana, and there were two conditions, the first one was somehow easy to sort, to not use Legendary monsters. Since I don't really have them on my fire deck, there's no issue. The second one was the one that made it interesting, all monsters had the Opportunity ability. For this kind of battles, Disintegrator is a must, and since I've tried it on a couple of different rule sets, it's now on my “to-buy and level up” list. Then I tried to balance some good damage outputs with similar health points, and a couple of cannon fodders. The Lava Spider is a good element on it because of the faster than average speed on level two. And of course Living Lava as a tank.

Esta batalla fue de medio-maná, había dos condiciones, la primera fue bastante sencilla de resolver, el no usar mounstros Legendarios. Ya que no tengo ninguno en mi deck de fuego, no había problema. La segunda fue la que hizo que todo fuera mucho más interesante, todos los mounstros tenían la habilidad de Oportunidad. Para este tipo de batallas, Disintegrator es vital, y ya que lo he usado en un par de tipos de reglas, está ahora en mi lista de "comprar y subir de nivel". Traté de balancear un buen daño con puntos de vida similares, y un par de carne de cañón. La Lava Spider es un buen elemento para esto por su mayor velocidad que el promedio en nivel dos. Y por supuesto, Living Lava como tanque.

The battle started as expected. The difficult part was that he used Shieldbearer as a tank. Fortunately, there were no extra armor, though the Pelacor Arbalest would do some considerable damage to low life targets. Which were gone by Round 2 same as the opponent's tank.

After the tank with taunt got destroyed, it was just a matter of time to finish up with most of the lineup. Because the difference between life points with mine were quite high, same as damage output. It only took 6 rounds to finish the battle.

La batalla comenzó como lo esperaba. La parte difícil fue que utilizó Shieldbearer como tanque. Afortunadamente, no tenía armadura extra, pero el Pelacor Arbalest haría daño considerable a los objetivos de baja vida. Que fueron destruidos para la Ronda 2 al igual que el tanque del oponente.
Después de que el tanque fue destruido, fue solo cuestión de tiempo para terminar con todos los oponentes. Ya que había una gran diferencia entre los puntos de vida y daño entre el oponente y el mio. Sólamente tomó 6 rondas para terminar la batalla.

The thoughts

Battles like this one with interesting rule sets are fun. I personally like Lava Spider because of the Snipe ability and the speed it has got. When pairing it with some extra life from Tarsa, without a doubt, it becomes a valued item on the lineup.

Batallas como esta con sets de reglas interesantes son divertidas. Personalmente me gusta Lava Spider por su habilidad de Snipe y la velocidad que tiene. Cuando lo juntas con la vida extra de Tarsa, sin lugar a dudas, se convierte en un elemento valioso en la alineación.
