So first of all, what is the airdrop?

The airdrop is a reward for those that keep SPLINTERLANDS ASSETS on the HIVE engine, for doing so the game rewards them with SPS with the amount depending on the value of the asset. It was introduced last year and it has more than 100 days left until it expires.

What does the game reward you for?

As you can see there are a lot of different assets, some are easier to obtain and some others are not that easy or unobtainable at this point let's take a look at the airdrop points each one gets:

As you can see more expensive assets get more points. Land plots, old packs, skins and totems get the most while cheaper assets like DEC dont't get that much. Collection power depends on the power of individual cards you own, owning high rarity and high power cards will give you more airdrop points. This can come in handy if you are a competitive player that tries to climb the ranks, getting something back for your cards in the process.

The higher value ones are mostly for investment purposes, so it's not necessary to buy them if you just play the game for competitive purposes.

PROFITS, is it worth it?

For 100000 points you can get around 0.80$ in value every single day so even if it may not sound much it is scalable to how much assets you own or how much you're going to invest getting them.

Nonetheless, this system is pretty rewarding helping players that invest or grind the game to get rewarded, helping them reach their GOALS.
