Splinterlands Art Contest Week 280 - Flame Monkey

Hello friends of Hive, happy Friday and beginning of the weekend, this week was a little busy, so I was late to finish the drawing for the contest, this time I made a version of the character Flame Monkey, I gave him a touch a little more humanoid and the hair came out similar to Vegueta's from Drangon Ball, this character was made in Adobe Illustrator. first I made a sketch of how the character would look like and then vectorize it.

Hola amigos de Hive, feliz viernes e inicio del fin de semana, esta semana estuvo un poco atareada, así que me demore en terminar el dibujo para el concurso, en esta oportunidad realice una versión del personaje Flame Monkey, le di un toque un poco mas humanoide y el cabello me salió parecido al de Vegueta de Drangon Ball, este personaje lo elabore en Adobe Illustrator. primero realice un boceto de como se vería el personaje para luego vectorizarlo.

Once vectorized, I started to add the base colors.

Ya una vez vectorizado comencé a agregar los colores base.

Once the base colors were ready, I added the shadows, at this point I got complicated since I didn't have a reference of the shadows and as the character was going to have two light sources on each side it would be more complicated, so I had to look for several references of shadows to have an idea.

Una vez listo los colores base, agregue las sombras, en este punto si me complique puesto que no tenia un referencia de las sombras y como el personaje iba a tener dos fuentes e luz a cada lado seria un mas complicado, así que tuve que buscar varias referencias de sombras para tener una idea.

Then I added the lights on the character's body and the fireballs on each hand, and to bring him to life I made his pupils.

Luego agregue las luces en el cuerpo del personaje y las bolas de fuego en cada mano, y para darle vida le hice sus pupilas.

The last thing that was missing was to add a background to the character, so I did it in a dark place where the fire surrounds the character.

Lo ultimo que faltaba era agregarle un fondo al personaje, asi que lo hice en un sitio oscuro donde el fuego rodea al personaje.
