Today I share my first experience playing on Genesis League Goals after the release of the Ranked System and Ranked Rewards.
The ranked system and ranked rewards were activated on November 30, 2023, more than a month ago, but only today I finally had some free time to try this game in which I invested during the presale by purchasing 110 GMLSPA packs.

My last experience playing Genesis League Goals was on July 22, 2022 when the Closed Beta phase was active and there was no Ranked System yet.

Today I was very curious to play the game again after a long time and especially I was very curious to see if the development team had made any improvements from the Closed Beta version.

I deliberately chose to play my first game in the raked system without reading in depth the guides posted by the @gls.goals account to have a way to evaluate the game from the perspective of a new and inexperienced player which is my current status.

Okay let's get started.

I had already created a team in the Closed Beta phase and today after login I immediately clicked COMPETE and then PLAY because I wanted to play a game immediately.

When I clicked on PLAY I received the error message Team over roster points limit.

I received this error message because the development team changed and decreased the maximum limit of usable roster points compared to the Closed Beta phase.
Therefore, I went to COLLECTION->TEAMS to edit my team.

On the next screen I read the helpful instructions and then clicked on HIVENTUS which is the team I had created in the Closed Beta phase.

I immediately noticed the difference in Roster points compared to the Closed Beta phase.
Each card has a score in Roster points = sum of the attributes of the card.

In the Closed Beta phase there was no limit in Roster points while now in the Ranked System the limit in Roster Points is = 360 points.

I clicked on EDIT TEAM and removed all my Reserves and Subs.

Without Subs and Reserves my total Roster Points went from 520 to 314.

I also changed the coach and chose Ben Genepool Powers because in the post Coach Abilities - Genesis League Goals I read that it produces a lower reduction in health and stamina of my players and thus will allow me in my initial stage of play to play more games = accrue more playing experience.

I have chosen 5 new subs so that I have a total of Roster Points = 359.

I have 550 NFTs to choose from but at this stage my priority goal is to start playing and I will postpone a choice of a more balanced and optimized team to the next few days.

I clicked CONFIRM to store the changes I made to my team.

I am ready to play my first game in the Ranked System.

I clicked COMPETE and waited a few seconds to play my first match

I found an improved graphics and a simpler and more efficient game mechanism than my previous experience in the Closed Beta.

I think I was lucky because despite my basic knowledge of the game I won my first game with a result = 2-1 in my favor.
Maybe focusing more on defense than offense was the right choice but I will need more games to verify that.

What changed after my first match?

My Team Health has decreased: 100% -> 98%
My Team Stamina has remained the same: 100%
My Team Morale has increased: 50% -> 68%
My Team Synergy has increased: 0% -> 39%
My Tier has become Solo
My Rating has increased: 100 -> 130
I acquired my first Fans: 0 -> 295

I played a second game but this time I lost by a resounding 0-3

And my Team Stats had the changes you can see in the following image.

The players I used in the two matches gained experience points (XP).
For example, my goalkeeper's XP bar exceeded half.

My First Feedbacks and Considerations

My goal today was to start playing and I am glad that some improvements have been made compared to the Closed Beta version but at the same time I think should improve a lot the user-friendly side of Genesis League Goals.

For example player cards and coach cards should have in-game explanations related to skills and game attributes like Splinterlands cards that have descriptions that can be activated by mouseover.
You need to read this post to know the abilities of coaches while it should be possible to know them immediately in game.

There should also be pop-up explanations in the various team creation, team editing and team management screens to make it easier for new players to immediately understand the game.

What is a Roster point?
What is team synergy?
What is the rating?
What is the Fans attribute?
....

An in-game section showing the leaderboards of the various tiers is missing, and there is no easily accessible and easily visible in-game section devoted to explaining the reward mechanisms as on Splinterlands.

My conclusion after my initial and brief experience playing the game is:

Genesis League Goals is an interesting game and may have potential but there are many aspects to be improved and in particular aspects related to the understanding and usability of the game by players and especially by new players are to be improved and the model to be considered is obviously Splinterlands.

In the coming days I will continue to play the game, I will also build my second team and I will read very carefully all the posts published by @gls.goal.
In my next posts I will share more game experience and I will be able to evaluate my first game rewards as well.

Genesis League Goals: La mia prima esperienza nel Ranked System

Oggi condivido la mia prima esperienza di gioco su Genesis League Goals dopo il rilascio del Ranked System e delle Ranked Rewards.
Il ranked system e le ranked rewards sono state attivate il 30 novembre 2023, più di un mese fa, ma solo oggi ho avuto finalmente un pò di tempo libero per provare questo gioco in cui ho investito durante la presale acquistando 110 GMLSPA packs.

La mia ultima esperienza di gioco su Genesis League Goals risale al 22 luglio 2022 quando era attiva la fase Closed Beta e non c'era ancora un Ranked System.

Oggi ero molto curioso di rigiocare dopo tanto tempo e soprattutto ero molto curioso di vedere se il team di sviluppo aveva apportato dei miglioramenti rispetto alla versione Closed Beta.

Ho volutamente scelto di giocare la mia prima partita nel raked system senza leggere in modo approfondito le guide pubblicate dall'account @gls.goals per avere il modo di valutare il gioco dal punto di vista di un nuovo e inesperto giocatore che è il mio status attuale.

Ok iniziamo.

Avevo già creato un team nella fase Closed Beta e oggi dopo il login ho cliccato subito su COMPETE e poi su PLAY perchè volevo giocare subito una partita.

Quando ho cliccato su PLAY ho ricevuto il messaggio di errore Team over roster points limit.

Ho ricevuto questo messaggio di errore perchè il team di sviluppo ha modificato e diminuito il limite massimo di roster points utilizzabili rispetto alla fase Closed Beta.
Per questo motivo sono andato su COLLECTION->TEAMS per modificare il mio team.

Nella schermata successiva ho letto le utili indicazioni e poi ho cliccato su HIVENTUS che è la squadra che avevo creato nella fase Closed Beta.

Ho subito notato la differenza in Roster points rispetto alla fase Closed Beta.
Ogni carta ha un punteggio in Roster points = somma degli attributi della carta.

Nella fase Closed Beta il limite di Roster Points utilizzabile era = 520 punti mentre adesso nel Ranked System il limite in Roster Points è = 360 punti.

Ho cliccato su EDIT TEAM e ho rimosso tutte le mie riserve e i miei subs.

Senza Subs e Riserve il totale dei miei Roster Points è passato da 520 a 314.

Ho anche cambiato l'allenatore e ho scelto Ben Genepool Powers perchè nel post Coach Abilities - Genesis League Goals ho letto che produce una minore riduzione della salute e della stamina dei miei giocatori e quindi mi permetterà nella mia fase iniziale di gioco di giocare più partite = maturare più esperienza di gioco.

Ho scelto 5 nuovi subs in modo da avere un totale di Roster Points = 359.

Ho 550 NFT tra cui scegliere ma in questa fase il mio obiettivo prioritario è iniziare a giocare e rimanderò ai prossimi giorni una scelta di un team più equilibrato e ottimizzato.

Ho cliccato su CONFIRM per memorizzare le modifiche apportate al mio team.

Sono pronto per giocare la mia prima partita nel Ranked System.

Ho cliccato su COMPETE e ho aspettato pochi secondi per giocare il mio primo match

Ho trovato una grafica migliorata rispetto alla mia precedente esperienza nella Closed Beta.

Penso di essere stato fortunato perchè nonostante la mia conoscenza basica del gioco ho vinto la mia prima partita con un risultato = 2-1 in mio favore.
Forse puntare più sulla difesa che sull'attacco è stata una scelta giusta ma avrò bisogno di più partite per verificarlo.

Cosa è cambiato dopo il mio primo match?

E le mie Team Stats hanno subito le modifiche che puoi vedere nell'immgine seguente.

I giocatori che ho utilizzato nei due match hanno guadagnato dei punti esperienza (XP).
Ad esempio la barra XP del mio portiere ha superato la metà.

Feedbacks e Considerazioni Finali

Il mio obiettivo di oggi era iniziare a giocare e sono contento che sono state apportate alcune migliorie rispetto alla versione Closed Beta ma allo stesso tempo penso che dovrebbe migliorare molto il lato user-friendly di Genesis League Goals.

Ad esempio le carte giocatore e le carte coach dovrebbero avere delle spiegazioni in game relative alle abilità e agli attributi di gioco come le carte di Splinterlands che hanno descrizioni attivabili con il passaggio del mouse.
Per conoscere le abilità dei Coach è necessario leggere questo post mentre dovrebbe essere possibile conoscerle immediatamente in game.

Anche nelle varie schermate di creazione, modifica e gestione del team ci dovrebbero essere delle spiegazioni a comparsa per facilitare la comprensione immediata del gioco da parte dei nuovi giocatori.

Cos'è un Roster point?

Cos'è il rating?
Cos'è l'attributo Fans?
....

Manca una sezione in-game che mostra le leaderboards dei vari tiers e non c'è una sezione in-game facilmente accessibile e facilmente visibile dedicata alla spiegazione dei meccanismi di ricompensa come su Splinterlands.

La mia conclusione dopo la mia iniziale e breve esperienza di gioco è:

Genesis League Goals è un gioco interessante e può avere del potenziale ma ci sono tanti aspetti da migliorare e in particolare sono da migliorare gli aspetti relativi alla comprensione e usabilità del gioco da parte dei giocatori e soprattutto da parte dei nuovi giocatori e il modello da prendere in considerazione è ovviamente Splinterlands.

Nei prossimi giorni continuerò a giocare, costruirò anche il mio secondo team e leggerò con molta attenzione tutti i post pubblicati da @gls.goal.
Nei miei prossimi posts condividerò un esperienza di gioco più ampia e potrò valutare anche le mie prime ricompense di gioco.
