Today February 14 is Valentine's Day and so I start this post by giving best wishes to all lovers including myself :)
Besides being the day to celebrate love and lovers, it is also the day when the first season of Splinterlands ended after the introduction of the Soulbound Reward Cards.

The new Soulbound Reward Cards and the recent changes to the Rulesets (3 Rulesets in Gold+ Leagues + 2 New Rulesets) have increased the fun in playing Splinterlands.

In the season just ended I reached the Diamond II league but only in the last two days of the season and my final rating score was 3147 points.

My current playing goal is to get to play in the Diamonds leagues from the first days of the season and so even in the last season I did not reach my playing goal.

I hope to reach my playing goal within 1-2 months but to reach it I have to continue to increase the battle strength of my card collection through buying new cards and through upgrading the cards I already have in my collection.

In today's post I want to share my two latest purchases and the reasons for my purchase choices.

The first card I decided to purchase today is Water Caller.

Water Caller is a Rare card of the Water element and the Riftwatchers edition.

In the image below you can see Water Caller's battle statistics and the maximum level that can be used in the various leagues of Splinterlands (source Splintercards).

Witer Caller is a useful card as early as level 1 because it has a good ability (Stun) but in my opinion it is from level 5 onwards that it becomes a really useful card because it acquires the Reflection Shield ability which is a very important ability when the battle rule is Explosive Weaponery.

In two of my previous posts I have shown the full importance of cards that have the Reflection Shield ability in battles with Explosive Weaponery ruleset through examples, possible strategies and some battles.

In the diagram below you can see one of the battle formations I most like to use when:

• the battle rule is Explosive Waponery
• the available mana is more than 45

When I need to increase the battle strength of my card collection, I like to reason starting from the rulesets.

Buying level 5 Water Caller would allow me to have two cards with the Reflection Shield ability that I could use at the same time thus expanding the possible strategies available to me.

For example in a battle that has the Explosive Weaponery battle rule and has few mana available I could use Tide Biter and Water Caller together to create a double wall of protection against Blast attacks in case the card in first position is eliminated.

In a battle with the rulesets Explosive Weaponery and Stampede I could protect the card with the Trample ability in first position by placing a card with the Taunt ability in last position and Water Caller in second-to-last position.
In this context, it might also be useful to use a card with the Triage skill such as Spirit Hoader.

I have shown just a few of the possible strategies that can be applied by having two cards with the Reflection Shield ability, and I think I have clearly shown the motivation behind my decision to purchase Level 5 Water Caller.

Water Caller of level 5 is the result of combining 40 cards of level 1 (BCX).

Today February 14, 2023 1 copy of Water Caller has a cost of $0.369 per BCX.

I purchased 40 BCX from the market of https://monstermarket.io/ and spent $14.99 = 20839.70 DEC but also received a cashback of 625,191 DEC.

Today I also made a second purchase: Ash Mirage of level 1.

I made this purchase for two reasons:

• the cost is really low: $0.29.
• Ash Mirage has the Headwinds ability which is very useful when the ruleset is Going The Distance.

In the conslusion of this post I want to show the end-of-season reward that I got today and I want to share some of my considerations on the season that just ended.

As my end-of-season reward, I received and opened 35 Diamond chests.

The monetary value is not very high ($3,347) but I am however satisfied with the reward I received because I found 33 Soulbound Reward Cards including 7 War Pegasus in Gold version.

The Soulbound reward cards currently have no economic value because they cannot be sold but this limitation will only be temporary.
I immediately combined the 7 BCXs and upgraded War Pegasus to level 5.
War Pegasus could be useful to me in battles with the Going To Distance ruleset.

The positive data I record today is an increase in the total amount of SPS tokens I have gained from battle victories compared to the previous two seasons.

This last data shows that I am making progress and that the activity of optimizing my card collection is producing the first positive results.

One of my main goals on Splinterlands is to reach an amount of 100K SPS staked and continuing to increase my win rate would allow me to gain more SPS and speed up the path to my goal which is currently at 53% completion.

L'Ottimizzazione della mia collezione di carte: acquisto di Water Caller and Ash Mirage + Considerazioni sulla fine di stagione

Oggi 14 febbraio è San Valentino e quindi inizio questo post con il fare gli auguri a tutti gli innamorati me compreso :)
Oltre ad essere il giorno in cui si festeggia l'amore e gli innamorati è anche il giorno in cui è finita la prima stagione di Splinterlands dopo l'introduzione delle Soulbound Reward Cards.

Le nuove Soulbound Reward Cards e le recenti modifiche alle Rulesets (3 Rulesets in Gold+ Leagues + 2 Nuove Rulesets) hanno aumentato il divertimento nel gioco di Splinterlands.

Nella stagione appena conclusa ho raggiunto la lega Diamond II ma solo negli ultimi due giorni della stagione e il mio punteggio di rating finale è stato di 3147 punti.

Il mio obiettivo di gioco attuale è di riuscire a giocare nelle leghe Diamonds fin dai primi giorni della stagione e quindi anche nell'ultima stagione non ho raggiunto il mio obiettivo di gioco.

Spero di raggiungere il mio obiettivo di gioco entro 1-2 mesi ma per raggiungerlo devo continuare ad aumentare la forza in battaglia della mia collezione di carte tramite l'acquisto di nuove carte e tramite l'upgrade delle carte che ho già nella mia collezione.

Nel post di oggi voglio condividere i miei due ultimi acquisti e le motivazioni delle mie scelte di acquisto.

La prima carta che ho deciso di acquistare oggi è Water Caller.

Water Caller è una carta Rara dell'edizione Riftwatchers che appartiene all'elemento Water.

Nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere le statistiche di battaglia di Water Caller e il livello massimo utilizzabile nelle varie leghe di Splinterlands (fonte Splintercards).

Witer Caller è una carta utile già a partire dal livello 1 perchè ha una buona abilità (Stun) ma secondo me è dal livello 5 in poi che diventa una carta davvero utile perchè acquisisce l'abilità Reflection Shield che è un'abilità importantissima quando la regola di battaglia è Explosive Weaponery.

Nello schema seguente puoi vedere una delle formazioni di battaglia che più mi piace usare quando:

• la regola di battaglia è Explosive Waponery
• i mana disponibili sono più di 45

Quando devo aumentare la forza in battaglia della mia collezione di carte mi piace ragionare partendo dalle rulesets.

Acquistare Water Caller di livello 5 mi permetterebbe di avere due carte con l'abilità Reflection Shield che potrei utilizzare contemporaneamente ampliando in questo modo le possibili strategie a mia disposizione.

Ad esempio in una battaglia che la regola di battaglia Explosive Weaponery e che ha pochi mana disponibili potrei utilizzare Tide Biter e Water Caller insieme per creare un doppio muro di protezione contro gli attacchi Blast nel caso in cui la carta in prima posizione venga eliminata.

In una battaglia con le rulesets Explosive Weaponery e Stampede potrei proteggere la carta con l'abilità Trample in prima posizione posizionando una carta con l'abilità Taunt in ultima posizione e Water Caller in penultima posizione.
In questo contesto potrebbe essere utile utilizzare anche una carta con l'abilità Triage come ad esempio Spirit Hoader.

Ho mostrato solo alcune delle possibili strategie applicabili avendo due carte con l'abilità Reflection Shield e penso di aver mostrato chiaramente la motivazione dietro la mia decisione di acquistare Water Caller di livello 5.

Water Caller di livello 5 è il risultato della combinazione di 40 carte di livello 1 (BCX).

Oggi 14 febbraio 2023 1 copia di Water Caller ha un costo di 0.369$ per BCX.

Ho acquistato 40 BCX dal market di https://monstermarket.io/ e ho speso 14.99$ = 20839.70 DEC ma ho ricevuto anche un cashback di 625.191 DEC.

Oggi ho fatto anche un secondo acquisto: Ash Mirage di livello 1

Ho fatto questo acquisto per due motivi:

• il costo è davvero basso: 0.29$
• Ash Mirage ha l'abilità Headwinds che è molto utile quando la ruleset è Going The Distance.

Nella conslusione di questo post voglio mostrare la ricompensa di fine stagione che ho ottenuto oggi e voglio condividere alcune mie considerazioni sulla stagione appena conclusa.

Come ricompensa di fine stagione ho ricevuto e aperto 35 forzieri Diamond.

Il valore monetario non è molto alto (3.347$) ma sono comunque soddisfatto della ricompensa che ho ricevuto perchè ho trovato 33 Soulbound Reward Cards tra cui 7 War Pegasus in versione Gold.

Le Soulbound reward cards non hanno al momento un valore economico perchè non possono essere vendute ma questa limitazione sarà solo temporanea.
Ho subito combinato i 7 BCX e ho portato War Pegasus al livello 5.
War Pegasus mi potrebbe essere utile in battaglie con la ruleset Going To Distance.

Il dato positivo che registro oggi è un aumento del quantitativo totale di token SPS che ho guadagnato dalle vittorie in battaglia rispetto alle due stagioni precedenti.

Quest'ultimo dato mostra che sto facendo dei progressi e che l'attività di ottimizzazione della mia collezione di carte sta producendo i primi risultati positivi.

Uno dei miei obiettivi principali su Splinterlands è raggiungere un quantitativo di 100K SPS staked e continuare ad aumentare il mio win rate mi permetterebbe di guadangnare più SPS e di velocizzare il percorso verso il mio obiettivo che è al momento al 53% di completamento.
