My first Harvest from my 3 Worksites: calculations and considerations + My Season 123 played in Modern Format
On November 28, 2023 Land Phase 1.5 began, which added a new level of play and a new level of investment to the Splinterlands ecosystem.
I play all active game modes on Splinterlands because:
- I regularly play in the Ranked Battles of the Modern Format.
- I regularly play in the Brawls with the EDSF guild.
- I have 3 land plots in the Great Lowlands -> 120 Bredaine region.
The first Harvest from my 3 Worksites
In my previous post I showed the steps I made to activate production in my first land plot.

Today I show my first harvest from my three worksites and add some calculations and considerations on the strategy I will have to follow to make my land plots self-sufficient with regard to grain requirements.
In my 3 land plots I have decided to build:
- 2 Shard Mine
- 1 Grain Farm
I chose to build 1 Grain Farm + 2 Shard Mines instead of 2 Grain Farm + 1 Shard Mine because I have 45K Grain that I received through the purchase of 3 Survery Boosts when they were on sale and therefore I can afford at least initially to produce less grain than what is needed to feed all the workers in my 3 land plots.
My 3 worksites produce:
- 225,969 Grain per hour = 5423,256 Grain per day.
- 0.84 SPS per hour = 20.16 SPS per day.
Today I did my first Harvest using the useful HARVEST ALL feature.
I have reproduced in table form the information in the previous image to make some calculations.
In the following image you can see the current market values of all the tokens linked to the lands.
Based on the current values of the HIVE, SPS and DEC tokens and based on the current cost of 1 GRAIN = 1 DEC:
- My 3 worksites allow me to earn 20.16 SPS per day = $0.45 per day
- After a little over 3 days of production I have earned a gain of 51.62 SPS = $1.15 but I have also accumulated a deficit in grain = 10669.85 GRAIN
The only problem is that the cost of 1 GRAIN is 1 DEC and if I wanted to buy 10669.85 GRAIN I would get a loss instead of a profit: - 9.53$
I showed you these calculations to point out that it is important that your worksites produce enough grain to cover the grain costs of the Worksite Shard Mine and Research Hut.
I built 2 Shard Mines instead of 2 Grain Farms intentionally and only because I had a grain reserve.
To cover my deficit in grain I now have two options:
- increase my Grain Farm's grain production by using cards with a higher PP attribute.
- change one of my Shard Mine to Grain Farm.

My season 123 in Modern Format: Results and Considerations
Today, December 2, season number 124 is underway and will end in just under 13 days.
Two days ago, on November 30, 2023, season number 123 of Splinterlands ended.
In season 123 I played as always in Modern Format because it is the only format that exists for me because in Wild Format there are bots and I only enjoy playing against real players like me.
Starting December 5, cards from the Untamed set will no longer be able to be used in Modern Format and I will no longer be able to use my Byzantine Kitty in ranked battles.
Cards from the Rebellion set will enter the Modern Format, however, and it will be important for me to choose my buying goals and selling goals right away.
For this reason, before December 5 I will have to carefully analyze all the statistics of the cards in the Rebellion set and choose the cards that could allow me to continue playing stably in the Gold+ leagues of the Modern Format.
In season number 123 I played from start to finish in the Gold+ leagues of the Modern Format and in particular played mostly in the Gold II league advancing to the Gold I league in the second part of the season.
I also reached the Diamond III league but decided not to advance in order to try to enter the award-winning positions in the Gold league but failed to do so.
I finished the season at place 109 in the Gold Leaderboard with a score of rating = 2622.
Compared with season 122, in season 123 I have worsened my game results because my win rate has dropped by 3 percentage points (-3.11%).
Compared with the previous season, the total number of SPS tokens I earned as rewards from my battle victories has also decreased, but I still consider my season result a good one.
In season 123 I earned 555.04 SPS from the battles I won.
In season 123 I obtained and opened fewer Gold chests than in the previous two seasons but the total dollar value of my rewards was almost the same and this I think is the positive effect due to the increased value of SPS tokens.
In season 121 I opened 160 Gold chests -> total value: $12.36
In season 122 I opened 186 Gold coffers -> total value: $14.19
In season 123 I opened 145 Gold chests -> total value: $13.37

Unfortunately, I wasn't very lucky with the contents of the chests I opened but I'm still glad I found 2 BCX of the Soulbound Skok Duskblight legendary card.
With two BCX I can use Skok Duskblight at level 1 which is not particularly useful for me in battles in Gold+ leagues but I hope in the future to find at least 4 more BCX because at level 3 Skok Duskblight becomes a very interesting and much more useful card thanks especially to the Resurrect ability which is one of the abilities I like the most.
During season 123 I made strides in accumulating and enhancing soulbound cards:
- Common Regular: 49% -> 52%
- Common Gold: 15% -> 17%
- Rare Regular: 41% -> 43%
- Rare Gold: 19% -> 20%
- Epic Regular: 29% -> 31%
- Epic Gold: 6%
- Legendary Regular: 14% -> 16%
- Legendary Gold: 10%
The Soulbound cards that I like the most are mainly the legendary cards but I have not been able to take any of them to the maximum level yet.
With the soulbound and gladius cards I found during season 123 I have only managed to make 2 upgrades:
- KATRELBA GOBSON: level 3 -> level 4
- TERRACEOUS GRUNT: level 7 -> level 8
I have not yet been able to upgrade a soulbound card to the maximum level but I hope to be able to have at least all the soulbound legendary cards at level 3 in the future because it is the soulbound legendary cards that I like the most and could be very useful to me in battle.

I continue to set growth goals on Splinterlands, hope that bots will be eliminated completely from Splinterlands, continue to increase the battle strength of my collection of usable cards in the Modern Format where there are no bots, and look forward with much excitement to the start of the general sale of the Rebellion set and the fully playable versions of Genesis League Soccer and Soulkeep that will expand the Splinterlands ecosystem

Oggi mostro il mio primo harvest dai miei tre worksites e aggiungo alcuni calcoli e considerazioni sulla strategia che dovrò seguire per rendere i miei land plots autosufficienti relativamente al fabbisogno di grano.
Nei miei 3 land plots ho deciso di costruire:
- 2 Shard Mine
- 1 Grain Farm
Ho scelto di costruire 1 Grain Farm + 2 Shard Mine invece di 2 Grain Farm + 1 Shard Mine perchè ho 45K Grain che ho ricevuto grazie all'acquisto di 3 Survery Boosts quando erano in vendita e quindi posso permettermi almeno inizialmente di produrre meno grando di quello necessario per alimentare tutti i workers dei miei 3 land plots.
I miei 3 worksites producono:
- 225.969 Grain all'ora = 5423.256 Grain al giorno
- 0.84 SPS all'ora = 20.16 SPS al giorno
Oggi ho fatto il mio primo Harvest utilizzando la comoda funzionalità HARVEST ALL
Ho riportato in forma tabellare le informazioni presenti nell'immagine precedente per fare alcuni calcoli.
Nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere i valori di mercato attuali di tutti i token collegati alle lands.
In base ai valori attuali dei token HIVE, SPS e DEC e in base al costo attuale di 1 GRAIN = 1 DEC:
- I miei 3 worksites mi permettono di guadagnare 20.16 SPS al giorno = 0.45$ al giorno
- dopo poco più di 3 giorni di produzione ho ottenuto un guadagno di 51.62 SPS = 1.15$ ma ho anche accumulato un deficit in grano = 10669.85 GRAIN
L'unico problema è che il costo di 1 GRAIN è 1 DEC e se volessi acquistare 10669.85 GRAIN otterrei una perdita invece di un profitto: - 9.53$
Ti ho mostrato questi calcoli per farti notare che è importante che i tuoi worksite producano grano sufficiente per coprire i costi in grano dei vorksite Shard Mine e Research Hut.
Io ho costruito 2 Shard Mine invece che 2 Grain Farm volutamente e solo perchè avevo una riserva di grano.
Per coprire il mio deficit in grano ho adesso due opzioni:
- aumentare la mia produzione di grano della mia Grain Farm utilizzando carte con un attributo PP maggiore.
- cambiare un mio Shard Mine in Grain Farm

La mia stagione 123 nel formato moderno: Risultati e Considerazioni
Oggi 2 dicembre è in corso la stagione numero 124 che terminerà tra poco meno di 13 giorni.
Due giorni fa, il 30 novembre 2023, è terminata la stagione numero 123 di Splinterlands.
Nella stagione 123 ho giocato come sempre nel Modern Format perchè è l'unico formato che esiste per me perchè nel Wild Format ci sono i bots e io mi diverto solo a giocare contro i giocatori reali come me.
A partire dal 5 dicembre le carte del set Untamed non potranno più essere utilizzate nel Modern Format e io non potrò più utilizzare la mia Byzantine Kitty nelle ranked battle.
Entreranno però nel Modern Format le carte del set Rebellion e sarà importante per me scegliere fin da subito i miei obiettivi di acquisto e i miei obiettivi di vendita.
Per questo motivo prima del 5 dicembre dovrò analizzare con attenzione tutte le statistiche delle carte del set Rebellion e scegliere le carte che mi potrebbero permettere di continuare a giocare stabilmente nelle leghe Gold+ del Modern Format.
Nella stagione numero 123 ho giocato dall'inizio alla fine nelle leghe Gold del Modern Format e in particolare ho giocato prevalentemente nella lega Gold II avanzando nella lega Gold I nella seconda parte della stagione.
Ho raggiunto anche la lega Diamond III ma ho deciso di non avanzare per cercare di entrare nelle posizioni premiate della classifica Gold ma non ci sono riuscito.
Ho terminato la stagione al posto 109 della classifica Gold con un punteggio di rating = 2622.
Rispetto alla stagione 122, nella stagione 123 ho peggiorato i miei risultati di gioco perchè il mio win rate è sceso di 3 punti percentuali (-3.11%).
Rispetto alla stagione precedente è diminuito anche il totale dei token SPS che ho ottenuto come ricompensa dalle mie vittorie in battaglia ma considero comunque il mio risultato stagionale un buon risultato.
Nella stagione 123 ho guadagnato 555.04 SPS dalle battaglie vinte.
Nella stagione 123 ho ottenuto e aperto un numero inferiore di forzieri Gold rispetto alle due stagioni precedenti ma il valore totale in dollari delle mie ricompese è stato quasi uguale e questo penso è l'effetto positivo dovuto all'aumento di valore dei token SPS.
Nella stagione 121 ho aperto 160 forzieri Gold -> total value: 12.36$
Nella stagione 122 ho aperto 186 forzieri Gold -> total value: 14.19$
Nella stagione 123 ho aperto 145 forzieri Gold -> total value: 13.37$
Nello screenshot seguente puoi vedere il resoconto completo delle ricompense che ho guadagnato nella stagione 122 (fonte: Splexx.gg (potions value excluded))
Purtroppo non sono stato molto fortunato con il contenuto dei forzieri che ho aperto ma sono comunque contento di aver trovato 2 BCX della carta leggendaria Soulbound Skok Duskblight.
Con due BCX posso utilizzare Skok Duskblight di livello 1 che non mi è particolaramente utile nelle battaglie nelle leghe Gold+ ma spero in futuro di trovare almeno altri 4 BCX perchè al livello 3 Skok Duskblight diventa una carta molto interessante e molto più utile grazie soprattutto all'abilità Resurrect che è una delle abilità che mi piace di più.
Durante la stagione 123 ho fatto dei passi in avanti nell'accumulo e potenziamento delle carte soulbound:
- Common Regular: 49% -> 52%
- Common Gold: 15% -> 17%
- Rare Regular: 41% -> 43%
- Rare Gold: 19% -> 20%
- Epic Regular: 29% -> 31%
- Epic Gold: 6%
- Legendary Regular: 14% -> 16%
- Legendary Gold: 10%
Le carte Soulbound che mi piacciono di più sono principalmente le carte leggendarie ma non sono riuscito ancora a portare nessuna al massimo livello.
Con le carte soulbound e gladius che ho trovato durante la stagione 123 sono riuscito a fare solo 2 upgrades:
- KATRELBA GOBSON: level 3 -> level 4
- TERRACEOUS GRUNT: level 7 -> level 8
Non sono ancora riuscito a portare al massimo livello una carta soulbound ma spero di riuscire ad avere in futuro almeno tutte le carte leggendarie soulbound al livello 3 perchè sono le carte leggendarie soulbound le carte che mi piacciono di più e che potrebbero essermi molto utili in battaglia.
Nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere le carte leggendarie soulbound e gladius che ho nella mia collezione di carte.
Io continuo a pormi obiettivi di crescita su Splinterlands, spero che i bots siano eliminati completamente da Splinterlands, continuo ad aumentare la forza in battaglia della mia collezione di carte utilizzabile nel Modern Format dove non ci sono i bots e aspetto con molta eccitazione le versioni completamente giocabili di Genesis League Soccer e Soulkeep che espanderanno l'ecosistema di Splinterlands

Vedo che hai sfruttato a pieno le tue 3 Land, calcolando al meglio come potenziarle e quali mostri usare.
Io ho la fortuna di aver trovato una land epica magica, che mi da +100% sulle Research, e infatti ho costruito la Research Hut ed ho messo i miei mostri migliori, però al livello di ritorno d'investimento per ora sono allo zero assoluto su questa land, ho mintato quasi 100 token Research, ma non ho la minima idea a cosa possano servire, visto che non si possono nè trasferire nè scambiare.

A good harvest, and heck yes! You for sure what to produce enough grain yourself if you can. It's the fundamental building block for everything else and will quickly increase (decreases) or kill your production if you can't get your hands on it.
I think one thing people are missing about land is once you build it it's going to simply keep producing value for you for the life of the game.

It looks like grain production is very important but do you think the grain price will drop down? I think it should over time but I guess it might not if people don't produce enough grains.
On discord (p2p mode) it costs much less (0.06-0.08 DEC) but I think producing enough of it without being forced to buy it is the best choice ;)

According to Tales from The Cryptmancer, the P2P price of grain is between 0.06 and 0.08 DEC. Not sure where it will settle to once we have Liquidity Pools, will be interesting to see.
I didn't have the surplus grain at the outset, so I have only one SPS mining plot and the other producing grain. I aim to build up as big a buffer of grain as possible , as I will want to switch to the other resources when they come online and my grain production surplus will greatly diminish from that point, as I think will many others players
At that point I can see the grain price moving upwards as supply will be cut, it may take some months to eat through the buffer, but eventually it will move up from whatever floor it settles on I feel

I started with 2 Shard Mines + 1 grain farm but only because I have a reserve of grain obtained by buying Survery boosts but soon I will switch to 1 Shard Mine + 2 Grain Farm.
Yes I saw that through P2P the cost of grain is much lower and I will consider whether to buy some from discord when my grando reserve is finished ;)

Hello new friend, it's a pleasure to meet you. Some time ago I played this game constantly, then it changed so much that I got lost, and I don't think I even know how to play it anymore. My mom also played, she is 75 years old and she loved her battles, but after some changes in the game there were a lot of bots and they wouldn't let her pass the level because she never won, that caused her stress lol and she quit. But she always tells me that she wants to come back, because she likes her.
I don't know how to help her boost her card team, I'm out of the game.

As for bots you are right they were a big problem and still are but compared to before now they have been banned in the Modern Format while they are tolerated in the wild format. I play in the modern format precisely because there are no bots there
I hope that in the future bots will be eliminated completely from Splinterlands

My mother played and very well, she learned to win her battles with the few resources she had, she did her daily tasks and enjoyed that game a lot, in fact it helped her distract herself from the illness that my father had, game time for her It was a unique hour and no one could bother her. But as I told you, she stopped doing it, but these days, she reminded me again that she wants to try again.
I don't know what changes the game has had or what new things it has, my mom is a supergrandmother, she only played religiously, she only made one publication, then she just concentrated and enjoyed her battles.
