On November 28, 2023 Land Phase 1.5 began, which added a new level of play and a new level of investment to the Splinterlands ecosystem.

In the past few days I have received several questions about how land worksites work and in particular about the resources that can be produced with worksites, and for this reason in today's post I show my strategy for my 3 worksites and share some calculations and considerations about the grain resource that is the basic element necessary and indispensable for the production of the three types of worksites that can be used in Phase 1.5 of Splinterlands lands.

The optimization of my worksites

I have 3 land plots in the Great Lowlands -> 120 Bredaine region.

I started the construction of my worksites on November 29 and initially decided to build:

• 2 Shard Mine
• 1 Grain Farm

I intentionally made this choice because I had received 45K Grain through the purchase of 3 Survery Boosts and could afford, at least initially, to produce less grain than I needed to feed all the workers in my 3 land plots.

Before my grain supply became insufficient to feed all my workers I made the production change in one of my land plots: from Shard Mine to Grain Farm.

The Shard Mine -> Grain Farm change has taken 1 day to complete and I incurred a cost of 500 Grain.

I now have:

• 1 Shard Mine
• 2 Grain Farm

My alternative choice was to buy grain from other players (P2P) but after my evaluations I discarded this option.

My goal in phase 1.5 is to have self-sufficient production in terms of grain so I prefer to have extra grain to sell than less grain to buy ;)

In the image below you can see the current situation of my three land plots.

If I did the harvest today:

• gain: 34,987 SPS
• gain: 14751.555 + 6722.389 = 21473.944 Grain
• spend: 3240,588 + 6498,398 + 11917,696 = 21656,682 Grain

With the change of 1 worksite from Shard Mine to Grain Farm I have almost reached self-sufficiency in terms of grain from my 3 worksites.

In fact, my current grain deficit on my total harvest is really minimal = ** -182.73 Grain

I will overcome this small deficit by increasing my production in one of my grain farms by using a worker card with a higher PP attribute ;)

For example I could sell Fire Demon in slot 5 which has a good market value to buy a card with a higher PP attribute ;)

Focus on Grain: Where to buy it and why and at what price to buy it!

In phase 1.5 the only producible resources are:

• SPS from Shard Mine worksites
• Grain from Grain Farm worksites.
• Research tokens from Research Hut worksites.

The Research tokens do not have a use case at the moment but will have one in Land Phase 2.0 as explained in this article:Research: FAQ

Now I will do some calculations to help those who have only one land plot not Grain Farm or those who have a deficit in grain to choose their strategy to purchase the grain they need.

To make my calculations I started from the current situation of my Shard Mine worksite.

I do not have the need to purchase Grain but if I did not have my two Farm Grains in order to harvest 34.98 SPS I would first have to purchase 11918 Grain.

The options for purchasing Grain are two:

• Purchase 11918 DEC and then convert 1198 DEC to 11918 Grain from the BUY GRAIN section of Splinterlands

• Buy 11918 Grain from other players using the buy-sell and trader-chat channels of the Discord server of Splinterlands and carefully choosing reputable sellers.

From a financial point of view the first option (1 DEC for 1 GRAIN) is absolutely inpractical and unprofitable because it produces a very high loss.

In fact based on the current values of the HIVE, SPS, DEC tokens.

If I pay 1 DEC for 1 GRAIN my harvest of 34.98 SPS would produce a loss = -$10.83

If I buy 11918 GRAIN by accepting one of the last sale offers from other players I pay 0.07 DEC - 0.08 DEC for 1 grain.

If I pay 0.08 DEC for 1 GRAIN my harvest of 34.98 SPS yields a profit = +$0.1130

If I pay 0.07 DEC for 1 GRAIN my harvest of 34.98 SPS yields a profit = +0.2320$

In both of the last two cases I obtain a profit but the cost of grain burns most of the dollar value of my harvest.

In my opinion, the current price of grain in the P2P market is useful to produce a profit but it is too high and I prove it to you by doing a further calculation.

If I use my grain production from my 2 Grain Farms to cover my total grain needs and harvest from my Shard Mine I get: 34.98 SPS = $1.0653.

If instead of using my grain production to do the harvest using 21473,944 Grain at 0.7 DEC I get a profit = $1.50

In this situation I would be better off selling grain than mining SPS!

So dear reader my advice and my conclusions are:

• YOU SHOULD NOT BUY Grain using DECs.
• you can buy Grain from other players at 0.08 DEC or 0.07 DEC because you make a profit but this is a profitable price more for the seller than for you!

What would be the fair and equitable price of grain to benefit buyer and seller? "

In my opinion based on the current values of DEC tokens and SPS tokens the most fair and balanced grain price between buyer and seller should be 0.495 DEC per GRAIN because in this case:

• if I sell my grain production I get $1.0617 profit.
• if I use my grain production to harvest from my Shard Mine I get $1.0653

The calculations in the table below clearly show this ideal equilibrium point in the P2P market which corresponds to a cost per Grain = 1 GRAIN for 0.0495 DEC,

If you have to buy GRAIN and a seller tells you that a price per grain of 0.7 - 0.8 DEC is a good price in my opinion it is not and I have proved it to you with my calculations.

You also need to consider that to buy grain in the P2P marketplace you need to take time to:

• choose reliable seller
• making agreements with the seller
• perform the transactions

Do you take the cost of time into consideration? I do! ;)

Now dear reader it will be clear to you why I prefer to have a self-sufficient production in terms of grain even though I could sell my grain at 0.6 - 0.7 - 0.8 DEC per GRAIN and make a bigger profit.

I continue to set growth goals on Splinterlands, hope that bots will be eliminated completely from Splinterlands, continue to increase the battle strength of my usable card collection in Modern Format where there are no bots, and look forward with much excitement to the fully playable versions of Genesis League Soccer and Soulkeep that will expand the Splinterlands ecosystem

HIVE ON and Splinterlands ON!

L'ottimizzazione dei miei cantieri + Focus sul Grain: Dove comprarlo, perché e a che prezzo comprarlo!

Il 28 novembre 2023 è iniziata la Land Phase 1.5 che ha aggiunto un nuovo livello di gioco e un nuovo livello di investimento all'ecosistema di Splinterlands.

Nei giorni scorsi ho ricevuto diverse domande sul funzionamento dei land worksite e in particolare sulle risorse che possono essere prodotte con i worksites e per questo motivo nel post di oggi mostro la mia strategia per i miei 3 worksites e condivido alcuni calcoli e considerazioni sulla risorsa del grano che è l'elemento base necessario e indispensabile per la produzione delle tre tipologie di worksites utilizzabili nella fase 1.5 delle Splinterlands lands.

L'ottimizzazione dei miei cantieri

Io ho 3 land plots nella regione Great Lowlands -> 120 Bredaine

Ho iniziato la costruzione dei miei worksites il 29 novembre e inizialmente ho deciso di costruire:

• 2 Shard Mine
• 1 Grain Farm

Ho fatto questa scelta volutamente perchè avevo ricevuto 45K Grain grazie all'acquisto di 3 Survery Boosts e potevo permettermi almeno inizialmente di produrre meno grano di quello necessario per alimentare tutti i workers dei miei 3 land plots.

Prima che la mia riserva di grano diventasse insufficiente per alimentare tutti i miei workers ho fatto il cambio di produzione in mio land plot: da Shard Mine a Grain Farm.

Il cambio Shard Mine -> Grain Farm ha impiegato 1 giorno per essere completato e ho sostenuto un costo di 500 Grain.

Adesso ho:

• 1 Shard Mine
• 2 Grain Farm

La mia scelta alternativa era di acquistare il grano da altri giocatori (P2P) ma dopo le mie valutazioni ho scartato questa opzione.

Il mio obiettivo nella fase 1.5 è di avere una produzione autosufficiente in termini di grano e quindi preferisco avere grano in più da vendere che grano in meno da acquistare ;)

Nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere la situazione attuale dei tre miei land plots.

Se facessi l'harvest oggi:

• guadagnerei: 34.987 SPS
• guadagnerei: 14751.555 + 6722.389 = 21473.944 Grain
• spenderei: 3240.588 + 6498.398 + 11917.696 = 21656.682 Grain

Con il cambio di 1 worksite da Shard Mine a Grain Farm ho quasi raggiunto l'autosufficienza in termini di grano dei miei 3 worksites.

Infatti il mio deficit in grano attuale sul mio harvest totale è davvero minimo = -182.73 Grain

Colmerò questo piccolo deficit aumentando la mia produzione in una mia grain farm utilizzando una worker card con un attributo PP maggiore ;)

Ad esempio potrei vendere Fire Demon nello slot 5 che ha un buon valore di mercato per acquistare una carta con un** attributo PP** maggiore ;)

Focus on Grain: Where to buy it and why and at what price to buy it!

Nella fase 1.5 le uniche risorse producibili sono:

• SPS from Shard Mine worksites
• Grain from Grain Farm worksites
• Research tokens from Research Hut worksites

I Research tokens non hanno un caso d'uso al momento ma lo avranno nella Land Phase 2.0 come spiegato in questo articolo: Research: FAQ

Adesso farò alcuni calcoli per aiutare chi ha un solo land plot non Grain Farm o chi ha un deficit in grano a scegliere la sua strategia di acquisto del grano a lui necessario.

Per fare i miei calcoli sono partito dalla situazione attuale del mio Shard Mine worksite.

Io non ho la necessità di acquistare Grain ma se non avessi le mie due Farm Grain per poter fare l'harvest di 34.98 SPS dovrei prima acquistare 11918 Grain.

Le opzioni di acquisto del Grain sono due:

• Acquistare 11918 DEC e poi convertire 1198 DEC in 11918 Grain dalla sezione BUY GRAIN di Splinterlands

• Acquistare 11918 Grain da altri giocatori utilizzando i canali buy-sell e trader-chat del server Discord di Splinterlands e scegliendo con attenzione venditori affidabili.

Dal punto di vista finanziario la prima opzione (1 DEC per 1 GRAIN) è assolutamente inpraticabile e non conveniente perchè produce una perdita molto alta.

Infatti in base ai valori attuali dei token HIVE, SPS, DEC

Se pago 1 DEC per 1 GRAIN il mio harvest di 34.98 SPS produrrebbe una perdita = -10.83$

Se acquisto 11918 GRAIN accettando una delle ultime offerte di vendita di altri giocatori pago 0.07 DEC - 0.08 DEC per 1 grain.

Se pago 0.08 DEC per 1 GRAIN il mio harvest di 34.98 SPS produce un profitto = +0.1130$

Se pago 0.07 DEC per 1 GRAIN il mio harvest di 34.98 SPS produce un profitto = +0.2320$

In entrambi gli ultimi due casi ottengo un profitto ma il costo del grano brucia la maggior parte del valore in dollari del mio harvest.

Secondo me il prezzo attuale del grano nel mercato P2P è utile a produrre un profitto ma è troppo alto ed te lo dimostro facendo un ulteriore simulazione.

Se utilizzo la mia produzione di grano per coprire il mio fabbisogno di grano e per fare l'harvest dal mio Shard Mine ottengo: 34.98 SPS = 1.0653$.

Se invece di utilizzare la mia produzione di grano per fare l'harvest vendo 21473.944 Grain a 0.7 DEC ottengo un profitto = 1.50$

Quindi caro lettore i miei consigli e le mie conclusioni sono:

• NON DEVI ACQUISTARE Grain utilizzando i DEC
• puoi acquistare Grain da altri giocatori a 0.08 DEC o 0.07 DEC perchè ottieni un profitto ma questo è un prezzo vantaggioso più per il venditore che per te!

Quale sarebbe il prezzo giusto ed equo del grain per avvantaggiare compratore e venditore?

Secondo me in base ai valori attuali dei token DEC e dei token SPS il prezzo del grain più giusto ed equilibrato tra compratore e venditore dovrebbe essere di 0.495 DEC per GRAIN perchè in questo caso:

• se vendo la mia produzione di grano ottengo 1.0617$ di profitto
• se utilizzo la mia produzione di grano per fare l'harvest dal mio Shard Mine ottengo 1.0653$

I calcoli nel prospetto seguente mostrano chiaramente questo ideale punto di equilibrio nel mercato P2P che corrisponde ad un costo per Grain = 1 GRAIN per 0.0495 DEC,

Se devi acquistare GRAIN e un venditore ti dice che un prezzo per grain di 0.7 - 0.8 DEC è un buon prezzo secondo me non l'ho è e te l'ho dimostrato con i miei calcoli.
Devi anche considerare che per acquistare grano nel mercato P2P devi impiegare tempo per:

• scegliere venditore affidabile
• accordarti con il venditore
• effettuare le transazioni

Il costo del tempo lo prendi in considerazione? Io si! ;)

Adesso caro lettore ti sarà chiaro perchè io preferisco avere una produzione autosufficiente in termini di grano anche se potrei vendere il mio grano a 0.6 - 0.7 - 0.8 DEC per GRAIN e ottenere un profitto maggiore.

Io continuo a pormi obiettivi di crescita su Splinterlands, spero che i bots siano eliminati completamente da Splinterlands, continuo ad aumentare la forza in battaglia della mia collezione di carte utilizzabile nel Modern Format dove non ci sono i bots e aspetto con molta eccitazione le versioni completamente giocabili di Genesis League Soccer e Soulkeep che espanderanno l'ecosistema di Splinterlands
