My Rebellion Buying Strategy (Update): 10 more Rebellion Packs purchased + Cost per Pack Calculations + My Sell and Buy Activity (ENG/ITA)
My Rebellion Buying Strategy Update: It's Time to Sell Many of My Untamed and Beta Cards and to Upgrade My Chaos Legion Cards
There are 10 days and 23 hours left until the end of the Rebellion Presale and of the 500K Rebellion packs available for purchase on the first day, there are 200K packs available for purchase.
Unsold packs will be burned at the end of the Presale while the general sale will begin on December 5, 2023, and also during the general sale there will be a daily burn mechanism that will be activated every day if less than 25K packs are sold per day.
Of the 10 million Rebellion packs I think at least half will be burned and the cards in the Rebellion set should not have the negative effects caused by the inflation experienced by the Chaos Legion set.
I enjoy playing Splinterlands and consequently I am very interested in the Rebellion set and I am waiting with great curiosity to know the battle statistics of the cards that will be released before the end of the presale.

In my previous post I shared my strategy for the Rebellion set, and today I continue to share my Rebellion pack-buying choices and my Beta and Untamed card-selling choices.
My strategy has one main goal for me:
- To continue playing in Modern Format Gold leagues even when the Rebellion set is released and when Untamed cards are excluded from Modern Format.
To achieve my goal I need to:
- buy Rebellion packs before December 5.
- increase the amount of DEC in my possession in order to purchase the cards of the Rebellion set that I will most like and consider most useful in battle.
The really exciting new feature of the Rebellion set will be the introduction of Dual Element Summoners which will introduce an in-game strategic element (= + fun) and should also be a contrasting element for bots in the Wild Format.
When the Rebellion set will be released my focus will be mainly on these new and interesting summoners.
Regarding Rebellion packs to date, I have purchased 10 Rebellion packs from Hive Engine/TribalDex
During the presale I will continue to monitor the market and continue to calculate the difference in dollar cost of 1 Rebellion pack between the Shop of Splinterlands and Hive Engine/TribalDex.
Whenever I find a sale price less than $3 per pack I will purchase additional packs to the ones I have already purchased.
In the table below you can see the current market values of HIVE, VOUCHER and DEC tokens (November 6, 2023).
Based on the market values I showed you earlier and based on the different purchase options the cost of a Rebellion pack is today:
- 4000 DEC + 5 VOUCHER = 3.8455$ if purchased from the Shop at Splinterlands
- 8.19 SWAP.HIVE = 2.9484$ if purchased on Hive Engine/Tribaldex
The cost difference between the two purchase options is 0.8971$.
I will now show you two purchase cases.
Those who buy 100 packs from the Splinterlands Shop spend 384.55$ today and receive 105 packs and will also receive 10 guaranteed rare promo cards and 1 guaranteed legendary promo card.
Those who buy 105 packs from Hive Engine spend $309.58 but will not receive promo cards.
The cost difference between the two purchase cases is 74.97$
The question I asked myself when deciding where to buy Rebellion packs is:
10 rare promo cards + 1 legendary promo card will have a total value = $74.97?
In my opinion, no, and that is why until today I have chosen to purchase the Rebellion set packs from Hive Engine.
With the savings I will get from purchasing the packs from Hive Engine I think I will be able to purchase the same number of promo cards as those who participate in the presale but at a lower cost.
Obviously my strategy is personal and is the result of my personal assessments and is not financial advice and could easily prove to be a bad strategy but the beauty of Splinterlands for me is also this: the possibility of choosing between different buying strategies.
Today I purchased another 10 Rebellion packs from Hive Engine and spent 81.99 SWAP.HIVE.
I did not have this amount of SWAP.HIVE in my Hive Engine wallet and first converted 30 HBD to 83.78 SWAP.HIVE using the useful and fast SWAPS feature of Hive Keychain.
I now have 20 Rebellion packs but hope to get to 50 packs before the end of the presale.
While I will try to buy Rebellion packs at a good price on the other hand I also have to try to increase the amount of DEC tokens in my possession in order to buy Rebellion cards from the market when they can be used in battle and that is from December 5, 2023.
3 days ago I put some of my Untamed and Beta cards up for sale and increased the amount of DEC in my possession.
Today I have 215706 DEC but I will only be able to use 65706 DEC during the general sale to buy Rebellion cards from the market because 150K DEC I will need for my 3 land plots.
To increase my amount of DEC today I put more cards of the Beta and Untamed sets on sale.
It is just my prediction (not financial advice) but as long as there are bot farms in the wild format all cards that are not usable in the Modern Format are in my opinion destined to lose value whenever they come out of the Modern Format!
I also put up for sale Untamed and Beta cards that I really like and would have maxed out if there were no bots in the Wild Format such as Dark Ha'on, Undead Badger, Serpentine Spy, Feasting Seaweed, The Kraken, Oaken Behemoth.
All these cards will lose a lot of value for me the moment I can no longer use them in Modern Format because I don't want to play against bots and I only want to play against real players.
There is only one card for which logic tells me to sell it but my heart prevents me from doing so: Byzantine Kitty.
I have wanted this card for a long time and Byzantine Kitty is by far my favorite summoner card.
I have decided not to sell Byzantine Kitty in the hope that in the future bots will also be eliminated from Wild Format.
I conclude this post with the upgrades to the maximum level of two of my cards of the Chaos Legion set.
Today I made the following upgrades:
Celestial Harpy: level 6 -> level 8.
To make this upgrade, I purchased 55 BCX from https://monstermarket.io/
Life Sapper: level 7 -> level 8
To make this upgrade, I purchased 30 BCX from https://monstermarket.io/
With the two upgrades I made today I have 69 max level Chaos Legion cards in my card collection:
- 17 Max level common cards
- 28 Max level rare cards
- 6 Max level epic cards
- 19 Max level legendary cards
In conclusion, I would like to inform you that the Game Awards (https://gam3s.gg/) is underway and I will be voting Splinterlands as my favorite game and will also write a short review.

Mancano 10 giorni e 23 ore alla fine della Rebellion Presale e dei 500K Rebellion packs disponibili all'acquisto il primo giorno sono rimasti 200K pacchi.
I pacchi non venduti verranno bruciati alla fine della Presale mentre la general sale inizierà il 5 dicembre 2023 e anche durante la general sale ci sarà un meccanismo di bruciatura giornaliero che verrà attivato ogni giorno se saranno venduti meno di 25K pacchi al giorno.
Dei 10 milioni di pacchi Rebellion penso che almeno la metà verrà bruciata e le carte del set Rebellion non dovrebbero avere gli effetti negativi causati dall'inflazione registrata dal set Chaos Legion.

Nel mio precedente post ho condiviso la mia strategia per il set Rebellion e oggi continuo a condividere le mie scelte di acquisto dei pacchi Rebellion e le mie scelte di vendita delle carte Beta e Untamed.
La mia strategia ha un obiettivo principale per me:
- Continuare a giocare nelle leghe Gold del Modern Format anche quando il set Rebellion sarà rilasciato e quando le carte Untamed saranno escluse dal Modern Format.
Per raggiungere il mio obiettivo devo:
- acquistare pacchi Rebellion prima del 5 dicembre
- aumentare il quantitativo di DEC in mio possesso per poter acquistare le carte del set Rebellion che più mi piaceranno e che considererò più utili in battaglia.
La grande novità del set Rebellion sarà rappresentata dall'introduzione dei Dual Element Summoners che introdurranno un elemento strategico in-game (= + divertimento) e dovrebbero anche rappresentare un elemento di contrasto per i bots nel Wild Format.
Quando il set Rebellion sarà rilasciato il mio focus sarà principalmente su questi nuovi e interessanti evocatori.
Per quanto riguarda i pacchi Rebellion fino ad oggi ho acquistato 10 Rebellion packs da Hive Engine/TribalDex
Durante la presale continuerò a monitorare il mercato e continuerò a calcolare la differenza del costo in dollari di 1 pacco Rebellion tra lo Shop di Splinterlands e Hive Engine/TribalDex.
Ogni volta che troverò un prezzo di vendita inferiore a 3$ per pacco acquisterò dei pacchi aggiuntivi a quelli che ho già acquistato.
Nella tabella seguente puoi vedere i valori di mercato attuali dei token HIVE, VOUCHER e DEC (6 novembre 2023).
In base ai valori di mercato che ti ho mostrato prima e in base alle diverse opzioni di acquisto il costo di un pacco Rebellion è oggi di:
- 4000 DEC + 5 VOUCHER = 3.8455$ se acquistato dallo Shop di Splinterlands
- 8.19 SWAP.HIVE = 2.9484$ se acquistato su Hive Engine/Tribaldex
La differenza di costo tra le due opzioni di acquisto è di 0.8971$.
Adesso ti mostro due casi di acquisto.
Chi acquista 100 pacchi dallo Shop di Splinterlands spende oggi 384.55$ e riceve 105 pacchi e riceverà anche 10 carte promo rare garantite e 1 carta promo leggendaria garantita.
Chi acquista 105 pacchi da Hive Engine spende 309.58$ ma non riceverà le carte promo.
La differenza di costo tra i due casi di acquisto è di 74.97$
La domanda che mi sono posto per decidere dove acquistare i pacchi Rebellion è:
10 carte promo rare + 1 carta promo leggendaria avranno un valore totale = 74.97$?
Secondo me no e per questo motivo fino ad oggi ho scelto di acquistare i pacchi del set Rebellion da Hive Engine.
Con il risparmio che otterrò dall'acquisto dei pacchi da Hive Engine penso di riuscire ad aquistare lo stesso numero di carte promo di chi partecipa alla presale ma ad un costo inferiore.
Ovviamente la mia strategia è personale ed è frutto delle mie personali valutazioni e non è un consiglio finanziario e potrebbe tranquillamente dimostrarsi una strategia sbagliata ma il bello di Splinterlands è per me anche questo: la possibilità di scegliere tra diverse strategie di acquisto.
Oggi ho acquistato altri 10 pacchi Rebellion da Hive Engine e ho speso 81.99 SWAP.HIVE.
Non avevo questo quantitativo di SWAP.HIVE nel mio Hive Engine wallet e ho prima convertito 30 HBD in 83.78 SWAP.HIVE utilizzando la utile e veloce funzionalità SWAPS di Hive Keychain.
Adesso ho 20 Rebellion packs ma spero di arrivare a 50 packs prima della fine della presale.
Se da un lato cercherò di acquistare i pacchi Rebellion ad un buon prezzo dall'altro lato devo anche cercare di aumentare il quantitativo di token DEC in mio possesso per acquistare le carte Rebellion dal mercato quando potranno essere utilizzate in battaglia e cioè a partire dal 5 dicembre 2023.
3 giorni fa ho messo in vendita alcune mie carte Untamed e Beta e ho aumentato il quantitativo di DEC in mio possesso.
Oggi ho 215706 DEC ma potrò utilizzare solo 65706 DEC durante la general sale per acquistare le carte Rebellion dal mercato perchè 150K DEC mi serviranno per i miei 3 land plots.
Per aumentare il mio quantitativo di DEC oggi ho messo in vendita altre carte dei set Beta e Untamed.
E' solo una mia previsione (non è un consiglio finanziario) ma fin quando ci saranno le bot farms nel wild format tutte le carte non utilizzabili nel Modern Format sono secondo me destinate a perdere valore ogni volta che usciranno dal Modern Format!
Per questo motivo oggi ho messo in vendita al prezzo Low Buy -0.5% nove delle mie carte Gold dei set Untamed e Beta tra cui anche Furious Chicken che non ho venduto fino ad ora ma che oggi ho deciso di vendere.
Ho anche messo in vendita carte Untamed e Beta che mi piacciono molto e che avrei portato al massimo livello se non ci fossero stati i bots nel Wild Format come ad esempio Dark Ha'on, Undead Badger, Serpentine Spy, Feasting Seaweed, The Kraken, Oaken Behemoth.
Tutte queste carte perderanno molto valore per me nel momento in cui non potrò più utilizzarle nel Modern Format perchè non voglio giocare contro i bots e voglio giocare solo contro giocatori reali.
C'è solo una carta per cui la logica mi dice di venderla ma il cuore mi impedisce di farlo: Byzantine Kitty.
Ho desiderato questa carta per tanto tempo e Byzantine Kitty è in assoluto la mia carta evocatore preferita.
Ho deciso di tenere Byzantine Kitty nella speranza che in futuro i bots siano eliminati anche dal Wild Format.
Concludo questo post con gli upgrades al massimo livello di due mie carte del set Chaos Legion.

Si io tranne 200$ che ho investito all'inizio su Hive poi ho sempre fatto tutto con HIVE e HBD nell'ecosistema di Hive e questo è un'altro aspetto positivo di Hive. Per quanto riguarda Splinterlands ho spesso venduto le carte che non usavo in battaglia per acquistare carte che ritenevo utili e continuo a farlo e questo mi permette di tenere una collezione quasi sempre competitiva almeno nelle leghe Gold.
Grazie per questo feedback, io invece ho avuto una strategia che potrei definire più da “collezionista”, non profittevole a livello di gioco. Oggi la mia strategia mi ha messo in difficoltà
Let me give you an alternate idea.
One Archmage bot is 12-17$, you can make another account and use all the Beta and Untamed cards with a bot to farm SPS and Reward cards. The bot is quite addept at is, and while you may need to pay 25% of the SPS winnings, you may still get a lot of Reward cards. I just bought one today and is above 50% win rate on Gold.
The main advantage is, you spend no time playing.

Yes using a bot is one of the options I have considered and after December 5 I will most likely do so.
The other alternative is to use an alt to play in the wild manually but I think I will opt for the bot while in the Format I will continue to have fun.
