Byzantine Kitty: Splinterlands-inspired small bag decoration /Decoración de bolso pequeño inspirada en Splinterlands

Greetings to the Hive Diy community, one of the most creative on Hive! I am very happy to be here to share one of my recent creations, the decoration of a little bag that I use to store the leftover wool that I use in my projects. This decoration was inspired by one of the cards from the Splinterlands game called Byzantine Kitty. Taking advantage of this inspiration, I join the weekly Splinterlands community contest that you can find here at Splinterlands Art Contest Week 278.

The Byzantine Kitty card really caught my attention from the moment I saw it. It features a white cat with wings in the center and two winged otters on either side. In my project, I decided to reproduce only the kitty, as I am attracted to the flirtatious gait of felines and this particular one is really beautiful. Also, when I studied its powers, I discovered that it grants +2 speed and skill to all friendly monsters, in addition to having healing powers.

Estoy muy contenta de estar aquí para compartir una de mis creaciones recientes, la decoración de una bolsita que utilizo para guardar los restos de lana que uso en mis proyectos. Esta decoración la realicé inspirada en una de las cartas del juego Splinterlands llamada Byzantine Kitty. Aprovechando esta inspiración, me uno al concurso semanal de la comunidad Splinterlands que podéis encontrar aquí en Splinterlands Art Contest Semana 278.

La carta de Byzantine Kitty me llamó mucho la atención desde el momento en que la vi. Presenta un gato blanco con alas en el centro y dos nutrias aladas a cada lado. En mi proyecto, decidí reproducir solo el gatito, ya que me atrae el andar coqueto de los felinos y este en concreto es realmente precioso. Además, cuando estudié sus poderes, descubrí que otorga +2 de velocidad y habilidad a todos los monstruos amigos, además de tener poderes curativos.

I will tell you about the creative process and the materials I used. I needed white wool yarn, acrylic yarn in pink, gray, black, yellow and red, a 2 mm crochet hook, a wool needle, a plastic marker, scissors and a lot of patience.

Les cuento el proceso creativo y los materiales que utilicé. Necesité hilo de lana blanco, hilo acrílico en rosa, gris, negro, amarillo y rojo, una aguja de ganchillo de 2 mm, una aguja lanera, un marcador plástico, tijeras y mucha paciencia.

I started by knitting the head from a magic ring, in which I introduced 6 half stitches and made 4 rows: the first ones with increases in all stitches and the following ones with alternate increases. Then, I made the ears, which consisted of knitting a pineapple stitch at the top, three stitches apart from each other.

Empecé tejiendo la cabeza a partir de un anillo mágico, en el que introduje 6 medios puntos e hice 4 filas: las primeras con aumentos en todos los puntos y las siguientes con aumentos alternos. Después, hice las orejas, que consistieron en tejer un punto piña en la parte superior, separados tres puntos uno de otro.

Next, I made the wings. I started with a chain of 15 stitches and over it I made a loop, 2 half stitches, a medium high stitch and 11 high stitches. In the next round, I made 4 little shells on each wing. In total, I made 4 wings.

A continuación, hice las alas. Empecé con una cadeneta de 15 puntos y sobre ella hice una lazada, 2 medios puntos, un punto medio alto y 11 puntos altos. En la siguiente vuelta, hice 4 conchitas en cada ala. En total, hice 4 alas.

I also knitted the body from a chain of four stitches, over which I made 16 barriers to form a semicircle. The tail consisted of several high stitches with increases and decreases to create bangs, and the legs were very simple: a magic ring and 5 half stitches, followed by a chain of 6 stitches where I knitted another 6 half stitches.

También tejí el cuerpo a partir de una cadena de cuatro puntos, sobre la cual realicé 16 barreras para formar un semicírculo. La cola consistió en varios puntos altos con aumentos y disminuciones para crear flecos, y las patitas fueron muy sencillas: un anillo mágico y 5 medios puntos, seguido de una cadena de 6 puntos donde realicé otros 6 medios puntos.

Since all the pieces were white, when I finished them I stitched yellow thread around them to create a border to make them stand out. Next, I embroidered all the details of the kitten's face, such as the ears, muzzle, mouth and whiskers.

Como todas las piezas eran blancas, al terminarlas las cosí con hilo amarillo alrededor para crear un borde que las hiciera resaltar. A continuación, bordé todos los detalles del rostro del gatito, como las orejas, el hocico, la boca y los bigotes.

Then I attached the wings and finally sewed all the parts together, inserting them into the bag.

Luego uní las alas y finalmente cosí todas las partes, insertándolas en la bolsita.

To finish, I used white wool yarn to make some details around the kitten. I really liked how the final result turned out, what do you think? I'd love to know in the comments.
