Today's mission is a bit different than usual. Today you simply have to choose one of the 4 Splinterlands cards that I present you and if you are lucky this card will be delegated to you for 2 months.

The mission today:
Watch the video and choose one of the 4 cards. Give the name of the card in a comment below the post and tell me why you choose it. If you are not playing the game or not interested in getting the card delegated to you, please write that you don't want to take part in the delegation.

In case your account is different from your playing account, please tell me the account name where the card should be delegated in case you win.

The The Kraken is indeed a powerful Monster for the Water Splinter. 🤓 I recommend supporting it with other Monsters with Tank Heal, Cleanse, Repair, and pairing it with other Monsters with Sneak, Snipe, or Opportunity to help take out the opponent's back row Monsters. 😏

Without other Monsters to support your The Kraken, it might not be able to defeat the opponent's frontline tank, which might have Shield (and Heal) and supported by the opponent's Monsters with Tank Heal. 🤔

Moreover, an opposing Monster with Scattershot (which ignores your team's Taunt Monsters) will simply defeat your backline Monsters one by one. 🤓 That's why you should avoid using the The Kraken as your only damage dealer on your team. 😏

The Rune Crafter is a Common Neutral Monster Card that has the Fury Ability which makes it deal double damage to Monsters with Taunt such as the The Kraken. 🤓 However, the damage bonus from Fury is dependent on the Monster with that Ability hitting its target, since Rune Crafter has only 1 Speed at Level 1 (and only 3 Speed when fully upgraded), while the The Kraken has 4 Speed at all levels. 😏 !PIZZA !LOLZ

While each player has their own strategy on #Splinterlands, I recommend trying the following Monsters with The Kraken: 🤓

  • Crustacean King and/or Merdaali Guardian to restore its Health
  • River Nymph to remove debuffs (especially Slow, Poison, Disease, and Blind)
  • Djinn Oshannus to absorb Blast Magic damage, deal decent Magic damage from the back row (or Lobstradamus to absorb Blast Physical damage and deal some Magic damage from the back row) and act as a tank when your The Kraken gets taken down
  • Deeplurker and/or Feasting Seaweed to take out your opponent's back row Monsters
  • Azmare Harpoonist to catch Flying opponent tank Monsters to make them easier for your The Kraken to hit

For Rulesets with Weak Magic Rule, you can use the following (if you are unable to use the Monsters recommended above): 🤓

  • Venari Wavesmith to increase your The Kraken's Armor as well as the Monsters behind it to help protect against Scattershot or Blast Attacks
  • Scavo Hireling to repair 2 Armor for your The Kraken every turn

Using the Legendary Neutral Monster Venator Kinjo just behind the The Kraken helps absorb Blast Damage, which is very useful for Battles with the Explosive Weaponry Rule. 🤓 Just make sure your The Kraken is supported by Monsters with Tank Heal and Cleanse Ability. 😏

The Cleanse Ability not only removes the Disease Debuff which prevents your Tank Monster from healing, but it also removes all other Debuffs (especially Demoralize, Slow, Weaken, Blind, and Poison) in just one turn. 🤓 !PIZZA

They all have their uses. It's hard to choose one over the others since, depending on rule-set, each of them could be a powerful tank. The other problem for me is I don't play level 1 cards, and haven't for quite some time, so I'm not sure which works best at these levels.

If I had to choose, I'd probably go with either Kraken or Void Dragon. The high speed on those cards would probably make them pretty valuable in lower levels although I think the mana cost on the Kraken makes it pretty difficult to use. So, with that said, I'd probably go with the Void Dragon. Having two abilities at level 1 (flying and void armor) probably makes it the most useful as a tank or 2nd position (for snipe) or even last position to hopefully dodge sneak.

You can delegate it to someone else though, thank you. I've got plenty. :-)

Wow so many people are commenting about Kraken. Hmm I think Void Dragon would be interesting to use because I play Dragon quite often, using either Daria or Delwyn Dragonscale. Having Void Dragon would be a good tank for low mana fights if I were to use Dragon, which typically have mostly high mana cards.

I would choose the "Kraken" card because of the 4 Melee attack and 14 health. The other reason I would pick it is that every time my opponent uses that card against me I lose as I have not yet figured out how to defend against it yet. Take care.

The Kraken for sure. It's the single largest tank in the entire Water Splinter arsenal. 😱
I've had so many games whereby the Kraken singlehandedly takes every single bit of damage thrown at him and shrugs it off (with healing backup).

In fact, my latest Share your battle challenge that I wrote this week was about The Kraken 🤣

I would say the Chromatic Dragon card because I have a level 1 version of the rest (either own or delegated to me). I don't really play Wilds much so it might not end up being used in many fights though.

I like this mission!

I'd choose The Kraken because the water splinter is my most developed but it would be an improvement on Wave Brood when I want a taunt monster on the front. In high mana games I'd put The Kraken in first position with Flying Squid and Deep Lurker in 2nd and 3rd. Next would come Axemaster, with Merdaali Guardian in 5th to heal The Kraken as much as possible. And bringing up the rear would be the speedy Djinn Oshannus. Kelya Frendal would be the summoner.

In a 20 mana game I guess I could try just The Kraken on the front, Merdaali Guardian in 3rd place, Creeping Ooze on the back, and my good old zero mana Torrent Fiend in second place in the hope that he might deal the knockout blow if The Kraken falls!

I will choose Chromatic Dragon. I want to test it for I never had the chance to either rent or use it in actual battle. I think the card is good in either Melee Mayhem and Super Sneak rulesets.

I choose The Cracken
because I don't currently have the card or rent it. It is a good taunt card with lots of health. This allow you to damage the backline of your opponent before they get a chance to take out your back line.
