Battle Mage Secrets Weekly Battle Challenge! (Five Alive)

image.png

I love the idea that the Weekly Battle Challenge changed instead of featuring a monster to represent a ruleset. It is so good to do something different than usual and I hope they will continually do this in the future. The best way would be to mix these challenges, so every week would be more interesting.

This week we need to show a ruleset, which is the Five Alive and the way I used it to my (dis)advantage in the Battle I played. 😇

My only problem with this new system is that it is very difficult to do battles with the specific ruleset featured for the week challenge, because it is random what you are going to get and even if you have that ruleset you need to win it somehow, which is not always easy. 😏

The Five Alive ruleset is one of the new, which came out recently and it means that you can use only five monsters on the battlefield instead of the usual six, so it is important to choose your lineup more wisely. 💪

RulesetDescription
Five AliveUp to five Units can be used.
Heavy HittersAll Monsters have the Knock Out ability.
Up to ElevenAll Monsters have the Amplify ability.

The mana cap is 50, which is more than enough to setup any kind of lineup and the Five Alive ruleset will make that even more easier, because I need to pick one less monster to fulfill my lineup completely. 😆

The Heavy Hitters ruleset works only if you manage to Stun your target, because the monsters with this ability will deal double damage against the Stunned monsters.

The Up to Elven ruleset will give the Amplify ability to all the monsters on the battlefield, which means that the reflected damage deal increased damage back to their attackers. 😅

My lineup and the decision behind it!

Summoner
Quix the Devious

image.png

Quix the Devious is a Dragon Splinter summoner who's ability is to decrease the Speed and Ranged attack of all the enemy monsters on the battlefield. The Dragon Splinter is one of the most expensive Splinter, so it is much easier to use them for the Five Alive ruleset. 🤫

Main Tank
Harklaw
image.png

The Harklaw is an excellent tank, because he cost only 8 mana and he has the Shield ability, which means that he will halves all the incoming Melee and Ranged attack damage. He also has the Immunity and Demoralize, which means that he will decrease the Melee attack damage of the enemy monsters. 😆

Main Damage Dealer

Carnage Titan
image.png

The Carnage Titan is a very special off-tank, because he has the Reach ability, so he will be able to attack from the second position and on top of that he has the Double Strike ability as well, which means that he is able to attack twice in every round.

On his level 3 he will receive the Shield ability, which is perfect against the Melee and Ranged attack monster like a proper tank. 😋

The Magic Damage Dealer
Djinn Muirat
image.png

The Djinn Muirat cost 8 mana and he is perfect against the Magic attack monsters, because he has the Magic Reflect ability, which means that he will reflect all the Magic attack targeting him back to his attackers and the Amplify ability, will further boost that damage. 🤗

Stunner
Revealer
image.png

The Revealer cost only four mana hence he doesn't have too much stats, but his Stun ability is an amazing feature as long as he is able to Stun his enemies. The trigger rate will be 50%, so he need a bit of luck there. 🤞

Best Damage Dealer in the Game
Chaos Dragon
image.png

The Chaos Dragon cost 14 mana, which usually is a lot, but luckily the Five Alive ruleset leaves a lot of unspent mana to choose my lineup and I always try to go with the Chaos Dragon, because his abilities are amazing.

It is true that he has the Scattershot ability, which makes him to attack randomly, but his huge damage and his Blast ability could cause a lot of damage against the enemy backline. He also has a lot of Health, damage and quite good Armor, so he is very resilient against the enemy attacks. 😇

My opponent brought Helios Matriarch, because he wanted to use a Gladiator monster to take advantage of his Bloodlust ability, which is simply the best ability in the game. The Matriarch also able to increase the Speed of his monsters, which is always good to attack quicker than his enemies and dodge more attacks. 🤔

My opponent picked one of the most expensive tank in the game, which is Agor who has a lot of Health, Armor and two different kind of attacks per round.

In the first round all of my monsters started to attack Agor who had the Taunt ability except my Chaos Dragon who had the Scattershot ability and ignored the Taunt ability. Unfortunately my Revealer couldn't stun his target, so they killed my Harklaw in the next round. We could only kill his Scavo Hireling who was the weakest from the enemy team.

In the second round finally my Revealer stunned his target, but my opponent did the same against my Carnage Titan as well. It was a huge luck that my Titan had +2 Armor and he was able to block 12 damage with that from his Gladiator off tank using his Heavy Hitter ability.

In the third round Agor was stunned again by my Revealer, so my Titan just woke up and dealt six damage against him and killing him. Luckily my team were able to kill his Gladiator monster as well and only two monster left in the opponent team, which was an easy kill for me team and to secure the win. 😉

Hello @oadissin,

It is always great to read your comments! !LUV 😊

Thank you so much for the great comment and I do not have any plan yet, because I hope they will tweak the prices around, because it is a bit too expensive everything! 😁
