Battle Mage Secrets Weekly Battle Challenge! (Aim True)

I love the idea that the Weekly Battle Challenge changed instead of featuring a monster to represent a ruleset. It is so good to do something different than usual and I hope they will continually do this in the future. The best way would be to mix these challenges, so every week would be interesting.

This week we need to show a ruleset, which is the Aim True and the way you handled that in your Battle.

Melee and Ranged attacks always hit their target.image.png
Blind, flying, dodge are useless. This Ruleset doesn't give Ranged monsters the ability to attack from the first position. Choose higher speed or higher health combined with high damage output. Return Fire ability is great in this ruleset.

The Aim True ruleset is amazing, because it removes one of my most annoying game mechanic in the whole Splinterlands, which is the miss chance. I said that many times before that I do not mind to have such a system in the game, but the way is handled feels a bit off.

Many times it happens that a creature misses a lot in a row even though he has only 10-20% to miss. This looks like a bug in the game and the way it would be easily fix and remove the frustration of the players is when a monster miss his target as normal than the second time he or she attacks they will hit their target 100% chance and the miss* can start again. 😊

RulesetDescription
Silenced SummonersSummoners do not give any stat buffs or debuffs or grant/use any abilities.
Super SneakAll Melee attack Monsters have the Sneak ability.
Aim TrueMelee and Ranged attacks always hit their target.

The mana cap was 54 in my battle, which is amazing, because I can use any monsters that I currently have. There was only the Water and Death Splinter available to play, but the Silenced Summoner ruleset ruled out the abilities of all the Summoners.

My lineup and the decision behind it!

Summoner
Kelya Frendul

image.png

I have choosen Kelya Frendul, because they have much quicker monsters in general than the Death Splinter. There was no abilities on the Summoners in either party, so their collection of monsters were the most deciding factor.

The only difference you can make when you choosing a Summoner in this ruleset is to check the mana cost of them and choose the cheapest and higher leveled one. 😇

Main Tank
Diemonshark

image.png

The Diemonshark is an excellent tank within the Water Splinter, because he has huge Speed which will increase a lot when he is damaged thanks to his Enrage ability. This huge Speed will allow him to attack first in the battle, but unfortunately he can not evade any incoming Melee and Ranged attack, because of the Aim True ruleset.

He also has the Trample ability, which means that when this monster does a killing blow he will perform another attack against the next monster in line. 😁

Off-Tank Reacher
Flying Squid

image.png

Usually I use the Flying Squid in my team, because he has the Reach ability, which means that he is able to attack from the second position against the enemy tank. The Super Sneak ruleset overwritten this ability and he attacked the last creature of the enemy backline.

Like I mentioned before the Blind ability is pretty useless here, because the Aim True ruleset makes all the Melee and Ranged attacks hit their target 100%. 🤗

Opportunist and Poisoner
Deeplurker

image.png

The Deeplurker is an amazing monster, because he has the Poison ability, which means that his attacks have a chance to apply poison, which does automatic damage to the target at the beginning of each round after the poison is applied.

The Opportunity ability would make him to attack the lowest Health creature, but he had to attack the last creature as well thanks to the Super Sneak ability. 😎

Debuffer and Giant Killer
Legionnaire Alvar

image.png

The Legionnaire Alvar is a tank on paper, but he doesn't have too much protection ability only his Void Armor and huge Armor. This ability makes him to use his Armor against Magic attacks as well not just Melee and Ranged.

The Giant Killer ability will make this monster to deal double damage against any monster that cost 10 mana. The Demoralize ability will reduce one melee attack of all the enemy monsters, which is quite useful. 😎

The Super Sneak ability allows him to attack from the middle of my backline and I put him there, because I wanted to hide him as much as possible to gain advantage of his Demoralize for the entire battle. 😉

Damage dealer and Protector
Djinn Oshannus

image.png

This is one of my favorite monster in the whole Splinterlands. First of all he is speedy and he has Magic attack, which is the strongest in the game. Secondly all of his ablities are amazing. The Void will make him to decrease the enemy Magic attacks against him by one.

The Phase is generally usefull without the Aim True ruleset, because he will be able to evade the enemy Magic attacks as well using his high Speed.

The Forcefield will be perfect against monsters with huge damag, because if someone attacks him with a damage equal or more than 5, he wil take only 1 damage instead. 😁

Backline Protector
Chain Golem

image.png

I try to use this monster as my main tank as many times it is possible, but in this fight I had to use him at the back of my backline, because all the Melee monsters from the enemy team (if they would bring any) would attack him. 🤞

I took advantage of his Shield ability, which will effectively halves all the incoming Melee and Ranged damage giving enough time to my team to their job.

My opponent tried to use the same Summoner like me on the same Level of Six, but with a few different monsters. Let's see how they will stand up against mines. 😎

In a normal battle, without the Super Sneak ruleset the Wave Brood that he choosed would be okayish, but in here all the Melee attack creatures will attack the last creature any way, so the 8 mana he used for that monster could be better spent. 😅

At the end of the first round I managed to kill him, but Adelade resurrected him back to one life. (I think his plan was different.)

In the second round the Wave Brood died instantly and I could continue killing his backline with my Melee attack monsters. Also I killed another monster at the end of this round as well. 😊

In the third round my opponent got very lucky, because I damaged his Diemonshark and he got Enraged. He became quicker than mine and killed my Diemonshark than he used his **Trample ability to deal five damage on my Flying Squid.

I killed two more creature in his backline, but his Enraged Diemonshark was still a threat for me. 😯

Luckily I had more monsters left than him, so I could finish of his two monster that left. The Demoralize ability on my Legionnaire Alvar was game changing, because he saved me a lot of damage. 😁

It's a nicely executed strategy in Aim True ruleset, both team looks powerful, but you have an advantage of using melee attack monsters. Good one bro, !LOLZ
