Battle Mage Secrets Weekly Battle Challenge! (Ferocity)

image.png

I love the idea that the Weekly Battle Challenge changed instead of featuring a monster to represent a ruleset. It is so good to do something different than usual and I hope they will continually do this in the future. The best way would be to mix these challenges, so every week would be more interesting.

This week we need to show a ruleset, which is the Ferocity and the way I used it to my (dis)advantage in the Battle I played. 😇

My only problem with this new system is that it is very difficult to do battles with the specific ruleset featured for the week challenge, because it is random what you are going to get and even if you have that ruleset you need to win it somehow, which is not always easy. 😏

All units have the Fury ability.

Think carefully before including a unit with Taunt in your lineup as they will take double damage from units with Fury.

The Ferocity ruleset is one of the rulesets, which is quite easy to counter, because I just need to make sure not to use any monsters who has the Taunt ability. The Taunt monster will soak up all the incoming damage to itself, but against a monster who has the Ferocity ability will take double damage, so it is better not to use them at all. 😀

RulesetDescription
EarthquakeNon-flying Monsters take 2 Melee damage at the end of each round.
Super SneakAll Melee attack Monsters have the Sneak ability.
FerocityAll units have the Fury ability.

The mana cap is 42, which is a comfortable zone to pick the monsters that I want and only one color is banned, which makes it easy to setup a team.

It is very important to watch out for the Earthquake ruleset, because if a monster can not fly it will take 2 damage at the end of every round, which might easily decide a battle.

The Super Sneak ruleset is a very powerful ruleset and need a special attention when setting up the team. Basically it means that all the monsters on the battlefield will attack the last monster from the enemy team.

The Ferocity ruleset will allow all the monsters to deal double damage against the enemy monsters who has the Taunt ability. 😆

My lineup and the decision behind it!

Summoner
Lux Vega

image.png

Lux Vega is a promor card, so it is not possible to acquire her unles you buy her from the market. She is an amazing all around Summoner, because she cost 5 mana and she gives +1 Speed, Armor and Health to all of her monsters.

Her most important feature is that she is a Neutral card, so all the Splitners will be able to use her except the Dragon Splinter. 🤫

Main Tank
Diemonshark
image.png

The Diemonshark is a tank, but he is more like a damage dealer kind and not the defensive, because he has quite a lot of Speed and a lot of Melee attack, which will be further boosted if he takes any damage, because he has the Enrage ability which will increase his own Melee attack and Speed. 💪

Off-Tank Life Leecher

Runemancer
image.png

I picked the Runemancer Kye for this battle, because he is able to Fly, which means that she is not going to take any damage from the Earthquake ruleset. She has three Magic attack damage, so all of her attack will ignore the enemy Armor and on top of that she has the Life Leech ability, so she will increase her own Health with every attack that she makes. 🤩

De-buffer Damage Dealer
Deeplurker
image.png

The Deeplurker cost 6 mana and he is quite a powerful damage dealer, because he has 5 Melee attack damage and the Opportunity ability, which means that he will target the lowest Health monster on the battlefield.

He also has the Poison ability, which means if he is lucky he will Poison his target and that would take 2 damage in every round. 🤭

Anti Magic Supporter
Angelic Mandarin
image.png

The Angelic Mandarin is an excellent Ranged attack monster, because his abilities are amazing. He has the Triage ability, which means that he will be able to heal one damaged monster in his backline once per round.

He also has the Silence ability, which will decrease the Magic attack of all the enemy monsters by one. 🤑

High Speed Sneaker
Pelacor Bandit
image.png

The Pelacor Bandit has high Speed and quite a lot of damage for only 3 mana. He has the Sneak and Flying ability as well, so he will ignore the Earthquake ruleset completely. 😱

Poisonous Sneaker
Uraeus
image.png

The Uraeus cost only 3 mana as well, but he doesn't have the Flying ability, so his life is numbered at the back of my lineup. Hopefully he will Poison his target, so they will take an extra 2 damage on top the Earthquake. 😜

My opponent brought Kelya Frendul who has similar abilities like my Lux Vega, but he is cheaper with one mana and he doesn't give +1 Health to his monsters.

The first round started by the Melee attack monsters attacking each others backline and my Uraeus died pretty quickly in the result of having low Health. My opponent also brought a Diemonshark and they started to hitting each other using their Retaliate ability, which provides a free attack if they lucky to trigger it.

The second round started with the Earthquake, which removed all the extra Armors from all the monsters on the battlefield. Luckily his last monster got Poisoned, so that and the Earthquake were killing him, because his high Speed was a bit though to handle. 😆

The same round turned out pretty badly for me, because I have lost another two of my last monster and only three monster left in my team.

It was a huge luck that my Diemonshark attacked first killing their tank and he managed to activate his Trample ability, which gave him an extra attack against their Flying Squid. Even thought his Squid killed my Diemonshark ha triggered his Retaliate and avenged him straight away.

In the fourth round the Posion and Earthquake damage killed another monster from the enemy team and my Flying Magic Runemancer using her Life Leech ability prooved to be the best choice in this battle and she single handedly survived all the incoming threaths that this battle offered and I won the battle with her help. 💪

Peace
The latest town hall recap showed interesting development about the grain official market.
Thank you for your publication
I am in the leaderboard but far from the top 200. I like the Halving ability. It is really helpful.
Are you stocking grain or just selling on the p2p market?
