My Weekly Battle Mage Secrets - Silenced Summoners

Overview
The new Weekly ruleset Challenge is an amazing twist that I am enjoying so far and I hope there will be twists like that in the future to keep this Challenge's fresh. 😁
This week the ruleset is the Silenced Summoners, which means that summoners do not give any buffs/debuffs or grant/use abilities.
The best advice is to use your lowest cost and highest level summoner within this ruleset.
The upcoming Battle ruleset

| Ruleset | Description |
|---|---|
| Silenced Summoners | Summoners do not give any stat buffs or debuffs or grant/use any abilities. |
| Keep Your Distance | Monsters with Melee attack may not be used in battles. |
The mana cap for my next battle was 31, which is not that much I like to see, but it is still enough to build a medium mana based team. The Summoners will have no abilities, so it is important to choose a low mana cost summoner to save some mana picking up more or better monsters.
The Keep Your Distance ruleset is a tricky one, because it will not allow to use any melee attack monsters on either side, so it is important to choose a strong tank to allow time for the squishy backline to do their job. 😁

My lineup
![]() | Quix the Devious is quite useless in this battle, because of the Silenced Summoners ruleset, but at least he cost only 4 mana, which is nice and I am able to use the Dragon cards as well if I will find any usable. 😆 |
| Baakjira is an excellent tank in this rulesets, because he doesn't have any attack, so he is usable in the Keep Your Distance ruleset and he has a lot of health compared to his 6 mana cost. He is very good against the magic attack monsters, because he has the Void ability. 😉 | ![]() |
![]() | The Djinn Oshannus is another amazing tank, because he has 12 health to sustain as much damage as possible and he also has +2 magic attack as well with high speed and his Phase ability to try to dodge some incoming ranged and melee attacks. 😊 |
| Kra'ar Xoc is a new reward card and I used him, because he cost only one and got the Scavenger ability, which means that he will gain one health when a monster dies on the battlefield. 😇 | ![]() |
![]() | I used the Merdaali Guardian* to support my big health tanks in the front position, because without any Sneak attack monsters she is quite safe in the fourth position in my bacline. 🤗 |
| The Axemaster is my main ranged damage dealer, because he has +3 ranged attack on its own and it is even boosted further with his Double Strike ability, which will enable this monster to attack twice in every round. 😁 | ![]() |
![]() | Igor Darkspear cost only two mana, so he is an easy fit into any low or middle mana cap battle. Unfortunately he doesn't have any ability on his Level 3, but the +2 ranged attack damage is more than enough to compensate that. 😜 |

The Battle

In this battle my opponent picked Kelya who also cost 4 mana like my Quix, but he can only choose his monsters from the Water Splinter.
My team was very lucky in the first round, because they managed to hit my opponent Djinn Oshannus and damaged him down. Their healer also gave him some health back, but in the second round my team finished him off. 😊
In the third round my opponent lost two of his squishy supports and my Baakjira got very close to die, but he was still alive with only 2 health left.
The fourth round was the last of my opponent, because they didn't have any more big health monsters to withstand my attacks and my team finally managed to secure the win for me. 😇

Battle Result

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?
My strategy was to bring huge health into my front two position and use high damage output monsters at my back, because without the Sneak monsters they were pretty safe there. Even thought my opponent would choose to bring Snipe monsters my Djinn Oshannus would be able to hold that fire for quite some time. 😊
