My Weekly Battle Mage Secrets - Fire & Regret

Overview

The new Weekly ruleset Challenge is an amazing twist that I am enjoying so far and I hope there will be twists like that in the future to keep this Challenge's fresh. 😁

This week the ruleset is the Fire and Regret, which means that all units receive the Return Fire ability at the start of the battle. Enemy units that attack with ranged attacks receive damage back. 😇

  • Damage returned is equal to damage of the attacker divided by 2, rounded up.
  • Ranged attack units with the Reflection Shield ability do not take damage from reflected magic attacks.
  • The Amplify ability increases damage.

RulesetDescription
Little LeagueOnly Monsters & Summoners that cost 4 Mana or less may be used in battles.
Fire & RegretAll units receive the Return Fire ability at the start of the battle.

The mana cap for my next battle was 28, which is not that much, but one of the ruleset was Little League, which means that only 4 mana or less monsters and Summoners are allowed in the battle, so if I choose only 4 mana monsters and Summoners the 28 mana will be just enough to max. out my lineup.

The Fire and Regret ruleset makes the assemble of my team a bit more difficult, because all the ranged attack monsters on the battlefield will take reflected damage back from their target. 🤞

The Obsidian cost only 4 mana, which is perfect for this battle and she has the ability to increase the stats of all the magic attack monsters on the battlefield. 🤫
The Hill Giant cost 3 mana, so he is an easy fit as a tank and his main advantage is his high health, quite good attack damage, but more importantly his Stun ability on higher levels. 😇

The Xenith Monk will be my true tank in this battle, because hopefully my Hill Giant will take most of the incoming damage, so the Monk would stay alive longer. This monster doesn't have too much health, but if he is able to use his Heal ability efficiently, he might be the king of the battle. 😆
Queen Mycelia is a magic attack monster and cost four mana, so she will be able to get the +1 magic increase from the Obsidian. On top of that she has the Protect ability, so she will give +2 armor to all of his monsters and might be able to use her Triage ability to heal small amount of damage in my backline. 🤭

The Djinn Biljka will be my main damage dealer, because he has two on its own and plus one from the Obsidian. He has the Camouflage ability, so he is prety safe in my backline, but he has only one speed, which will makes him to attack last. 🤗
The Fungus Flinger is a ranged attack monster and the reason I used him in this battle is to increase the stats of the monsters next to him when he dies, because I would like to take advantage of his Martyr ability. 😇

Doctor Blight is simply one of the best monster in the game and his only weakness is his slow speed. He has Affliction and Poison, so he will be able to switch off the enemy heal and to Poison his target in case if he manages to trigger his abilities. 💪

My opponent brought Tarsa from the Fire Splinter who gives +1 melee attack and health to all of his monsters. 🤔

In the first round my team killed their Venari Marksrat, so he buffed their Xenith Monk with plus one stats.

In the second round my team lost their first tank, which was the Hill Giant, but that is why I used another one behind it who has the Heal ability. 😇

His Uraeus killed my Fungus Fiend, which means that he increased the stats of my Doctor Blight and Djinn Biljka, so they were strong enough to kill their Xenith Monk at the same round.

My Doctor Blight killed their Uraeus, because without any tank he fell into the first position and it was easy to kill the last three "weak" monsters from their team, so they managed to won this battle. 🎁

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?

My strategy was to focus on the magic attack monsters, because they can easily ignore the enemy armors as long as they do not have the Void Armor or Void abilities. My opponent brought a mostly melee attack team, so my team was a bit superior than the team of my opponent. 😇

Hey bro,

You were quite dominant in this battle and enjoy a nice loot. SPS and Grit amounts are very impressive, it must me staked SPS that is giving a good boost. Keep playing bro.
