Life sappers are in between life and death. One side of their body is ghostly while the other is alive and well. They are neither fully living nor dead. They feed off the energies around them, and simply being within view of a Life Sapper will make you feel sick and weak. They siphon energy from their victims, slowly weakening and sickening them while simultaneously healing themselves.

“Paladins, clerics, and healers of the world don't bother trying to save a Life Sapper as it may be the last thing you'll do. Hold dear to your worldly bodies and pray to whichever gods you know that you do not become lost in the in-between.”

Overview

The Life Sapper is part of the Death Splinter and such I love to play with him. The Life Sapper allows me to use one of the best Splinter in the whole Splinterlands. The Death deck is full of poison and de-buff monsters and even their Summoners are decreasing the stat of the opponent monsters.

Thaddeus is an amazing Summoner using the Life Sapper, but in my case I used Quix the Devious to get some help from the Dragon Splinter. 😁

Stats and abilities

Level	Ability	Description
Level 1	Life Leech	Monster's health increases each time it damages an enemy Monster's health in proportion to the damage dealt.
Level 10	Redemption	When this Monster dies, it does 1 damage to all enemy monsters.(Shield protects against this damage)

• Make sure that monster with Life Leech are well protected, because they need time to build up their HP before they reach the frontline.

The Life Sapper owns the Life Leech ability from Level 1, which makes him a truly unique monster. On Level 4 he will increase his Magic damage by one to the maximum of 2.

On level 8 he will get the Redemption ability, which is perfect to remove the Divine Shield from all the enemy monsters or killing the low Health creatures.

Market prices of the Life Sapper

This is a Rare card, so if you are going to burn and delete from the existence this card it will yield 20 DEC if it is a regular card and 500 DEC if it was a gold card. (I have no idea why would you that, but as you can see below there was 1 gold card burned by a missclick and 109 regular cards were burned! 😲 )

In the last 3 month this card value started to decline and now it is almost on half price than 3 month ago. 😟

The upcoming Battle ruleset

Ruleset	Description
Lost Legendaries	Legendary Monsters may not be used in battles.

This ruleset is challenging, because you need to set up a team without Lgendaries, whom can win a bttle single handedly. 😂

My lineup

	Quix the Devious is a Dragon Summoner and with this ruleset is quite weak, because they have a lot of Legendary monsters. In my case I used him, because I could use the famous Djinn Chwala and his thorn ability. Quix decreases the Speed and Ranged Attack stats to all of my opponent monsters.
The Djinn Chwala is a must have monster to everyone, because he is pretty damn strong. He is a melee attacker with great Armor and huge Health, but his most important ability apart from Enrage is Thorn, which reflects back 2 damage to all attacking creatures. 💪
	I used the Twilight Basilisk, because he cost only 4 mana and got +2 Melee damage, which he can use from the second position of my team. He has Stun, which is very important, but you need to prey a lot to the RNG gods to help you out, because the trigger chance is 50% with each of his attack. 🙏
The Life Sapper received a -1 Magic attack damage from the enemy team, because they used a Level 7 Goblin Psychic, but his Life Leech ability still worked as intended. 😊
	The Venari Bonesmith is another life Leecher and his most important ability and why I usually use him is the Poison. If the Poison triggers (which is another 50% chance) than every end of the round the target will take 2 poison damage. 😁
The Uraeus is a very very popular card these days, because he is a Sneaker, so he will attack the last monster from the enemy team and he has Poison as well. 😌
	The Chaos Agent is a bullet eater and I used him at the back of my team to dodge an enemy Uraeus or another Sneaker if they have. Usually I rent him in a golden version, because I will receive 10% income from any winning battles.

The Battle

My opponent brought a Level 6 Obsidian, which is pretty strong currently with Magic attacks. The Twilight Basilisk got lucky and stunned their Pelacor Mercenary and he was unable to attack and hela for an entire row.

The Poison helped me a lot damaging the Mercenary and Goblin Psychic until they died. Until the end of the battle the Venari Bonesmith raised his own Health to 8 allowing him to survive 4 Magic attack damage from the Regal Peryton whom had 3 damage in every round.

The Life Leech ability was the clear winner in this battle and that is why that is my personal favorite. 😁

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?

My strategy was to give enough time to my Life Sapper and Venari Bonesmith until they increase their Health to the point where they can sustain more damage. If I would use Thaddius Brood instead of Quix the battle would have been much easier, because I could negate their +1 Magic attack damage from Obsidian. 😎

Do you like Life Sapper? Why or why not?

Yes of course! I like to use him with the Venari Bonesmith and gaining as much as Health as they can, so after they can withstand more damage. I wish if the Life Sapper would have more damage for more mana or an additional ability, which would help him a bit more to survive.
