Overview

The new Weekly ruleset Challenge is an amazing twist that I am enjoying so far and I hope there will be twists like that in the future to keep this Challenge's fresh. 😁

This week we had to do a Battle using the Aim True ruleset, which means that all the melee and ranged attacks will always hit their target, so they will completely ignore the miss chance formula.

This is not my favorite part of the game, because I always hated the RNG things in games and that is one of the reason that I stopped playing the popular Blizzard game of Hearthstone. 😜

Using the Aim True ruleset you will be guaranteed to hit your target, so you can even choose the slower and better monsters within your chosen Splinter. 😎

Aim True Versus my Team

My setup
How good my monsters in this ruleset?
Living Lava
Amazing
Tenyii Striker
Average
Flame Monkey
Good
Exploding Rats
Good
Ant Miners
Good
Forgotten One
Excellent

Usually the slower monster is better and stronger than a quicker one for the same mana cost and that is because they have better or extra abilities and/or stats, so the SPL team had to compensate that giving them lower speed.

This ruleset allows us to mitigate the slow speed problem, because even though they will attack slower than most of the monsters they will hit their target at 100% chance. 😊

The upcoming Battle ruleset

image.png

RulesetDescription
Aim TrueMelee and ranged attacks will always hit their target.
Super SneakAll melee attack monsters have the Sneak ability.
FerocityAll monsters have the Fury ability.

The mana cap of this battle was 32, which counts as average, so I need to use some cheap monsters as well in order to maximise the efficiency of my team. The Super Sneak is always gives an extra layer of strategy for the battle, because you need to think in reverse. 😁

My lineup

image.png
Tarsa is an excellent Fire Summoner, because she gives +1 melee and health to all of her friendly creatures and her mana cost is only 4. This allows to use her in lower mana battles, such as this one. 😁
The Living Lava is my new favorite tank in the Fire Splinter, but only from Level 5 onwards, because he has the Rust ability, which removes 2 armor from the enemy monsters. The Shield ability will halves all the incoming melee and ranged damage, but it is useless from the magic damage. 😉

image.png
The Tennyii Striker is a very good monster, but in these ruleset where everyone is a Sneaker he is overqualified, because he also has the Sneak ability on its own. Anyhow the +1 buffs from Tarsa makes him a strong damage dealer as long as we can protect him. 😊
I used the Flame Monkey in this battle, because he can attack the last enemy monster and in the meantime he will repair the armor of one of his fellow teammate. 😇
image.png
image.png
The Exploding Rats has the Blast ability, which will damage the monsters next to his target. He also attacks the last creature from the enemy team, so the 6 speed comes handy to hit first in every round. 😅
The mana cost of this battle was average, and I used 3 quite high mana cost creature, so not too much left. That is why I used the Ant Miners, because thanks to the Super Sneak he also receives the Sneak ability and for the cost of only 2 mana. The Scavenger makes him to build up his own health by one every time a creature dies on the battlefield. 🤗

image.png
The Forgotten One is a signature creature of the Fire team, because if the luck is ony your side he can single handedly kill all the creatures attacking him thanks to his Retaliate ability. All the enemy melee monsters will target him and he might give them hard time if he triggers his ability. (The chance for that is 50%!) Big health, armor and damage will makes him the perfect backline protector in the Super Sneak ruleset. 😌

Usually Kelya is stronger than Tarsa, because he gives +1 armor and speed to all of his friendly monsters, which allows his monster to block one melee or ranged attack completely.

Luckily my fifth Level Living Lava removed that nicely, so his monsters became much more vulnerable against me.

My opponent had a much quicker team, so his Tide Biter attacked first and he targeted my Forgotten One. Huge mistake I would say, because my Forgotten One retaliated his attack killing him instantly. 😅

The Exploding Rats made a hit on his target of the Pelacor Bandit, which usually is very difficult task and he killed it as well. Everyone of the enemy monster targeted my backline protector, but he had a huge armor and health to mitigate their damages.

My opponent couldn't do much against this mighty Forgotten One and we started to kill their monsters one by one. 😎

Battle Result

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?

My strategy was to use only melee attack monsters enchanted by Tarsa's +1 melee and health buff. I knew that I need to use a solid backline tank to protect my smaller creatures from the Sneak monsters and the Forgotten One was the perfect choice here. 💪

The Aim True ruleset is one of my favorite ruleset, because it will eliminate some of the luck factor from the game. 😁
