5 Cheapest Rebellion Gold Foil Cards, A Beginner Must Have

There are so many exciting changes patched into Splinterlands after the launch of the Rebellion edition, one of the coolest changes is made to the Modern format by removing Untamed cards completely, but Rebellion cards have taken the place of Untamed cards. Now, players can use Chaos Legion and Rebellion including their mini-set cards in Modern format.

It is hard to play at the beginning as we are still facing scarcity of Rebellion cards in the rental and trade markets, another reason is they are quite costly due to low circulation. But, there is no need to worry about being left behind, I'll tell you about some cheap cards that a beginner must have in their collection, and these cards will surely get you some exciting results when used in battles.

Why Having Gold Cards in Battles?

Gold foil cards come with peculiar benefits and provide additional percentages to obtain more Rewards Points.

• A GF card is already upgraded to a certain level based on its rarity, such as a common card that can be a level 3 or 4 when turned into gold color.
• Each Gold card earns a player an extra 10% in Rewards points, the percentage adds up as a players put more GF cards in a battle.
• GF cards need a smaller number of cards when upgraded to the next level as compared to regular cards.
• More Collection Power, GF cards have more CP than regular cards.

Card No. 1: New Sskah Drudge

New Sskah Drudge is a low mana cost version of Dhampir Stalker, it is a Death card, and it has the lowest gold card in the market at the moment. This is the best card for low-mana battles. So, why not have a gold card upgraded to level 3 instead of a regular level 1 card?

The cards come with True Strike and Affliction abilities, but Affliction ability starts from level 6 onwards. New Sskah's attack never misses because of True Strike ability which means it has a guaranteed hit on enemy units.

The coolest feature of this card is that it gets armor from level 5 onwards, armor can protect it from melee and ranged damage until it lasts.

This is the low-priced card in the Splinterlands market that you can have for approximately $1.30 or 1,364.26 DEC.

This is a reasonable and affordable price for having a GF card that can be useful in many battles by getting more Rewards Points and SPS tokens.

Card No. 2: Kha'zi Fire Mage

This magic card with Scattershot and Dodge has almost everything to survive in the battle. Kha'zi Fire Mage is a common magic unit from the Fire faction and it has come with interesting stats and abilities.

If you buy a regular level 1 or 2 card, then it won't have any armor, but having gold Kha'zi also gives you a more powerful card with 1 armor on it. Armor is an extra protection in the battle, cards with armor stats tend to survive longer rounds than cards without armor.

The card gets Fury ability from level 6 and onwards, which means its attack will be 3x stronger against cards with Taunt ability. It shoots magic towards random targets using Scattershot ability and it also gains 25% evasion from melee and ranged attacks. Impressive huh!

This card is currently on sale for $1.45 in the Splinterlands market which will be around 1,524.05 DEC based on the current market trend of cryptocurrencies.

You can place this card to shoot random enemy units in the battle and add some Opportunity units to attack the monsters with the lowest hit points.

Card No.3: Ujurak Mystic

Protect your backline cards from being attacked by Sneak, Opportunity, and Snipe monsters with Ujurak Mystic's Look Out ability, any adjacent unit to Ujurak will take 1 less damage from stealth monsters, and the best thing about it is that it works for all damage types.

Ujurak Mystic receives Void ability from level 5, Void reduces magic damage by 1 point. Ujurak's magic attack remains the same i.e. 1 in all levels, but it grows Speed, Armor, and Health points in subsequent levels.

Look Out ability also works for the Taunt monster, just place this card next to any Taunt monster and it will take 1 less damage from any damage that is incurred by Sneak, Snipe, or Opportunity units.

Look Out is also beneficial against Ambush attacks, when there is a unit with Look Out in a battle, the Ambush monster will do only half the original damage. Pretty amazing to have an extra layer of protection, so won't miss having this card.

Ujurak Mystic is available from $1.78 in the Splinterlands market, a conversion in DEC would be around 1875.20 tokens as per the current market price.

There are only 6 cards that come with Look Out Ability and only 4 of them have Look Out as default ability from level 1.

Card No. 4: Chaos Animator

Chaos Animator is a common Death card, its primary function is to provide support to units with Magic Reflect, Return Fire, and Thorns abilities because its Amplify ability increases the damage of mentioned indirect damage-inflicting abilities by an additional 1 damage.

But, why have a no-attack card in GF, the answer is that you'll get Void ability when buying this card in gold color, the regular level 1 and 2 versions will not offer you Void. You can buy lots of common cards and upgrade it to level 3 but the cost of doing so is more than having a straight level 3 GF card.

Chaos Animator gains her 3rd ability Redemption at level 10, when she dies in a battle her corpse deals 1 damage to all enemy units that is counted as a melee damage.

You can put Moxian Rebel beside her and she will shoot magic flames at her enemies with pride. Place her in a battle with Cursed Windeku or Djinn Chwala and they will deal additional Thorns damage to enemy melee units.

Her latest Market price is around $1.95 which turns out to be almost 2046.38 DEC in the current market value of DEC tokens.

Card No. 5: Sultry Barmaid

How about surprising your opponent with a stunning ranged attack from behind and freezing the enemy tank for 1 round? Only a level 3 Sultry Barmaid can do this because she gains Stun ability from level 3, although Ambush is her primary ability.

She can do a surprise attack using her Ambush ability which occurs before the battle starts and if she also has Stun ability, then there is a 50% chance that the tank unit will freeze for 1 round, and the stunned unit will skip the round without taking any battle action.

A regular level 1 or 2 card won't give you this opportunity, so it is better to have a Sultry Barmaid card in Gold than to have a regular low-level card. The gold foil will also get you other battle benefits as mentioned at the start of this post.

As you in the stats card she only has 2 abilities but her other stats increase gradually upon leveling up further. Sultry Barmaid is a common Water unit card and players use heavy and upgraded tanks in the battle, this card can make them stunned in the Ambush round and will land another blow when the battle starts i.e. 2x damage this way.

The current price of the card stands at $2.17 which is almost equal to 2279.85 DEC as per the latest token price in the market.

Final Thoughts

If we sum up the costs of all 5 Rebellion cards, their total price would be less than $9, which is comparatively less than the price of regular cards needed to upgrade them to the current level in the gold foil version. These cards can be quite helpful in gaining an upper hand on your opponents and also give you extra RPs and SPS rewards in battle because of the gold color.

However, there are many rebellion cards in the market but those are pretty expensive as there is a very limited circulation of Rebellion cards.

As a beginner, I would recommend getting common gold cards instead of regular foil, this way you'll get more stats and abilities and more power over your opponents.
