BORN AGAIN : You Can Make Super Monsters Out Of This Epic Ruleset

Splinterlands is generously showering updates and patches to the game and every time the team implements something new, it enhances the players' gaming experience.

A few months ago Splinterlands got some amazing rulesets patched into the game those were 'You Are Not Entertained', 'Going The Distance', and 'Wands Out'. But, last week we got another new ruleset, and that has changed a lot of battle tactics.

This new ruleset is called "Born Again", now all monsters in the battle will receive "Rebirth" ability. When a monster dies, it comes back into the battle with 1 Health point, and if it has any armor, it will also get 1 armor after revival.

This means that any monster may now die twice in a battle, and if a player is using powerful monsters they can change the course of the battle after rebirth.

How It Works

If you have ever used a monster or summoner with "Resurrect" ability, Rebirth works similarly to that, but it gives all monsters rebirth ability which is a monster specific ability that first appeared on Runi cards, and now a new ruleset is introduced with this ability.

Advantages of Born Again

Born again gives rebirth, so there must be plenty of advantages a player can get during the battle. But, it is important that monsters are taken in the battle should be good enough to get maximum advantage of this ruleset.

Some of the benefits are given below:

• Revived Monsters can do additional damage to enemy units
• Powerful monsters can be healed and their armor can be repaired
• Monsters with Heal ability can stay longer and annoy the opponent
• Monsters with Martyr will die twice which means adjacent monsters will enhance their stats twice
• Summoners or monsters with resurrect can revive one monster for the 2nd time which means a more powerful battle lineup

Disadvantage of Born Again

Since both opponents are having the same ruleset, it is possible that your opponent may have better cards and take advantage of the ruleset. Other than this there is no such unfavorable condition a player might face. It is up to a player's strategy and cards to get the most out of Born Again.

Born Again in Action

It is time to show you the power of "Born Again/Rebirth" and how it can be devastating for the opponent.

Look at the battle lineup shown in the below image.

I have added 3 cards Flesh Golem with "Heal", Fungus Flinger with "Martyr", and Goblin Psychic with "Tank Heal".

My opponent is using Unicorn Mustang with "Void", Failed Summoner with "Magic Reflect", Goblin Thief with "Sneak", and Uraeus with "Sneak".

Now, Fungus Flinger is killed by sneak monsters and Flesh Golem gets +1 to each stat including Heal, usually he heals 3 health points each round, but now he can heal 4 after receiving extra stats after the Martyr monster's death.

As you see in the above image Fungus Flinger was killed again by a sneak monster, but he upsized the stats of Flesh Golem for the second time adding +1 to all stats.

Now, Flesh Golem is so powerful that he can heal 5 health in each round and hit a monster with 4 Attack points, while he can evade some attacks also because of 5 Speed, and the result is a win.

Heal Cards To Use from Each Faction

I am pointing out some powerful cards in each element that you may consider using with Martyr monsters.

Following is the list of monsters with "Heal" ability, these monsters can heal 2 or more health points each turn on their own.

Conclusion

I think using Martyr ability twice in a battle a player can heavily overpower any powerful card to a nearly undefeatable monster.

Suppose, if a player uses an elemental Martyr card with a neutral Martyr card, the odds of enhancing a monster's stat will become 4 times, even resurrect ability may bring it to another 5th time.

This ruleset is quite powerful, if you have cards with Martyr ability, then you may pose a big threat to your opponent.
