LORE

Dax Paragon, a noble and spoiled child, was born in the city of Lyveria. His parents were rich and famous for running an enterprise business, they owned many lands in Lyveria also.

When he grew up, his parents gave him a huge share of their precious possessions and properties. Dax started his own version of the business and named it "Dax's Consultations". With his wit and wisdom, he became a successful consultant in Lyveria, if someone had to shine his business, Dax was the right person for growing his business. He became obsessed with fame and success, which made him avaricious, so he could have done any bad deed to protect his status.

His greed for power took him close to Chaos Legion, this way he met Silus of the Rift, who granted him the title of the adviser, since then he backed Silus and made him strategies and plans to control Splinterlands.

BATTLE LINEUP

LORDSHAH'S CARDS OPPONENT'S CARDS
Ilthain (Summoner) General Sloan (Summoner)
Time Meddler Gargoya Devil
Time Mage Djinn Renova
Dax Paragon Time Mage
Scavo Hireling Venari Crystalsmith
Venari Crystalsmith Supply Runner
Scavo Technomancer Pelacor Arbalest

RULESET

(Keep Your Distance: Melee Attack monsters are barred to join the battle.)

STRATEGY
The battle used a "Keep Your Distance" ruleset, I could not use any melee monsters, so I decided to go with magic and support monsters in the battle.

I used a pretty nasty strategy that does additional +1 damage, I call it "Revolts of Fury". I enhanced the damage of 'return fire' with Dax Paragon's Amplify ability.

I used Ilthain, she is a bolt-bender sorcerer and hits back her enemies with their own ranged missiles. She gave all friendly monsters 'Return Fire' and +1 Speed.

Monster Placement Sheet

  • Time Meddler is used as a tank, he can use his Dodge ability and evade incoming melee and ranged attacks.

  • Time Mage occupied 2nd position in the battle lineup, she cursed enemy monsters with -1 Speed.

  • Dax Paragon held on 3rd position, his Amplify ability increased the damage of Return Fire ability, which helped me remove main ranged attackers from enemy lines.

  • Scavo Hireling took 4th position and he repaired Time Meddler's armor many times.

  • Venari Crystalsmith in the 5th position provided healing in each round and also attacked the monster in the first place.

  • Scavo Technomancer in the last position used a magic attack to blast his enemies with Blast ability.

All my cards are gold foil, so I could get better reward points, it is recommended to use level 2+ units for better rewards.

Battle Video
This is a pure strategic battle, you don't kill them all, but your enemies kill themselves with Ilthain's Return Fire. Watch this neck-to-neck battle in this YouTube video.

BATTLE COMMENTARY

Rhino-looking General Sloan boosts his army's firepower with a +1 ranged attack.

Ilthain yields her staff and chants some magic words, all his units gain Return Fire ability and +1 to their speed stats.

Round 1
Dax Paragon places Amplify buff on all friendly monsters, while Time Mages from both sides remove 1 Speed point from all monsters.

A very intense battle starts, enemy ranged attackers shoot heavy volleys at Ilthain's units, but they hurt themselves with returned fires.

Dax's delicate voice is heard "Gargoya, I don't like bloodshed, but it's just a good business, my apologies.", then he lifts his orb and finishes off Gargoya Devil with a shiny ray.

Pelacor Arbalest does not realize what is he going to hit, 2 consecutive hits on Time Meddler become fatal for him, and he dies by his own bolts.

Round 2
"My, ah, eh, time is over, take my command Time Mage." Time Meddler hisses with pain and dies of a lethal arrow shot by Supply Runner, but Runner also kills himself after hitting Time Meddler.

Time Mage takes Time Meddler's place, but she cannot stand against DjinnRenova and Crystalsmith's attacks.

Round 3
Dax now stands in front of Renova and laughs loudly "haha, haha, Even though you kill me now, I have guaranteed your death," then takes a long breath and continues "I am good at succeeding, so never ever come into my path again. Technomancer, show them the way to hell."

Dax took severe magic damage, he falls to the ground, but then disappears in nowhere.

Scavo is hit by Crystalsmith's shards, but his death also becomes a nightmare for Crystalsmith.

Round 4
Scavo Technomancer sneers and looks at Time Mage "hehe, aye, yay, boom, hehe.", after the wicked laugh, he blasts both Renova and Time Mage with his technical bomb, Mage dies taking shrapnel all over her body.

Rounds 5 and 6
Crystalsmith stands firm on the ground taking intense magic damage from Renova, his healing magic rushes through his veins keeping him alive and healthy.

"My distant cousin, I am your shield, whatever it takes, you must kill this pretty Djinn, but do it quickly." he requests Technomancer.

Djinn Renova is already on her knees after losing so much magic blood. Technomancer blasts Renova twice and lays her to eternal rest.

STRATEGY OUTCOME ANALYSIS

My opponent had brought a mix of ranged and magic attackers, he also used Sloan to boost ranged attacks, which made his team much stronger than me. But, my opponent did not know about Return Fire and Amplify combo, it just ripped apart enemy lines.

Using a level 2 Dax Paragon with Amplify ability just made my team stronger and even though they have low damage attacks, Return Fire ability proved to be a big game changer. Without Amplify, I think that the battle could not be won.

Dax Paragon is a powerful card, you just need to protect it in the battle to enjoy his special abilities.
