[ENG] SoulKeep Tower Defense: will the game be worth it?

Hello everyone!

This is a video in Portuguese in which I'll talk about SoulKeep, the Tower Defense game that is in development by the Splinterlands team and that recently released a Closed Beta.

The inconvenient truth is that, seeing the gameplay elements that are already available, I still have the same opinion that I had when the project was announced: the Tower Defense genre is a too-established genre, and all the interesting mechanics and features have already been incorporated in the most popular, 'classic' Tower Defense games, such as Bloons Tower Defense.

Unfortunately, I don't see SoulKeep attracting "casual" gamers who are in it for the fun, for the entertainment of it, as these gamers will prefer to continue playing the traditional games that already dominate the TD genre.

Nesse vídeo, vou falar sobre o SoulKeep, o jogo de Tower Defense que vem sendo desenvolvido nos últimos tempos pelo time do Splinterlands e que, recentemente, está com um Closed Beta para ser jogado.

A verdade inconveniente é que, vendo os elementos de gameplay que já estão disponíveis, eu continuo com a mesma opinião que tive logo no lançamento do projeto: o gênero de Tower Defense é um gênero manjado e já muito batido, e todas as mecânicas e features interessantes já foram incorporadas nos grandes jogos do tipo, como o Bloons Tower Defense.

Infelizmente, eu não vejo o SoulKeep atraindo jogadores "casuais" que estão pela diversão, pois esses gamers vão preferir continuar jogando os jogos tradicionais que já dominam o gênero de TD.
