Struggling in Splinterlands? Let's Rent Some Cards!

Silver Rental Deck List

Splinterlands is a fun strategy card game once you get the hang of it. However it can be a very difficult start. A lot of people comment that getting through Bronze is actually harder than playing in Silver. With less rulesets and a good number of bots which know all the best starter card combos, you will need to rent some cards to get into Silver and start earning more.

Follow along in the video or the google sheet link to see some of my favorite recommended cards to rent. These are not the most powerful cards in the game but are typically cheaper to rent. How to Rent Cards

To rent cards in this strategy I recommend using PeakMonsters https://peakmonsters.com/

PeakMonsters will give you the ability to use rental bids to get cards rented for cheaper than what they are currently listed for if you are patient. You can also use the autobid system for extra power to get you into silver 3. Even if you rent all the cards I recommend, you will be a couple thousand power short of 15K. My Favorite Strategies to Use

Here are the top strategies I spam to get through Bronze and also succeed in Silver simply from these rented cards. Of course things change from match to match with the different rulesets and mana. You'll have to experiment with these strategies to find out when it's best to use them. 1. Lorna Shine Sneak Attack - Use the Lorna Shine summoner with the Silvershield Assassin, Crystal Werewolf, Feral Spirit, Silvershield Knight & Uraeus. The Knight will upgrade all of your sneak attack damage with inspire. Lorna shine will make your team tanky with divine protection. Use Crystal Werewolf to counter magic. This strategy doesn't work well in even stevens, odd ones out, or poison battles.

2. Delwyn + Water - This is mostly used in higher mana battles 25+. Alric is the better option as a summoner but is usually more expensive. You can rent Delwyn for cheap and still get the +1 magic to Oshannus, Lobstradamus, Nerissa & other magic starter cards. Oshannus can be used as a tank to counter magic but also has high speed to dodge some range and melee attacks. Also add AxeMaster to give great range damage with double strike. In really high mana battles add in Void dragon and Chaos Dragon if you rented them.

3. Obsidian Double Heals - I don't rent much for the earth team. All you really need is to make sure to add Wood Nymph to your collection. Using Wood Nymph + Goblin Psychic will unlock double heals for your tank to keep them alive for the entire match. You can also add Doctor Blight to your neutrals and use him to land affliction on their tank. A lot of people run heals for the earth and water deck. If you use double heals and also stop their team from healing by landing an affliction, it should be enough to win you the match.

4. Low Mana Chwala - Most times in low mana battles 12-15 in bronze, you can win simply by having the Djinn Chwala card. It's thorns, high hp and shielding, can win you the match by itself often.

5. Dark Legendaries - All the dark Chaos legendaries are pretty cheap to rent including Harklaw, Lira, & Djinn Muriat. Combo them with Shadow Presence which has 4 health for 1 mana and is a great snipe/sneak blocker, and you should be able to win matches in silver.

6. Level 2 Summoners - The bottom half of the google sheet will give you recommendations for renting level 2 summoners, or a level 1 Quix the Devious. Again make sure to use the PeakMonsters autobids on the level 2 summoners or you will be paying a lot more DEC per day than necessary. My favorite leveled up monsters are renting a level 3 Sea Monster, level 2 Uraeus, & a level 3 Silent Sha-Vi. Sea Monster at level 3 gets 9 health which means it self heals for 3 each round. Usually it's enough to survive on it's own but you can also add an extra healer for 6 hp of healing each round. The leveled up Uraeus and Silent Sha-Vi get extra melee damage for their sneak attacks which can take out an enemy backline much quicker.
