Magalli's "BATTLE MAGE SECRETS Weekly Challenge!"

Time for another Battle Mage Secrets Weekly Challenge, this week the Battle Rule is Armored Up:

With this Rule, all the Monsters get an additional 2 in Armor stat, and it means that all Monsters will be more resistant to Melee and Ranged attacks, so when this Rule is active we should expect the use of Magic attack Monsters by our Opponent.

Following my previous consideration, the Monsters with the Void Armor ability become the perfect Tanks for this type of battle:

This ability would take advantage of the Battle Rule making those Monsters even more resistant thanks to the +2 in Armor.

At the same time, expecting a large use of Magic Attack Monsters, we could think about using Monsters with the Void ability too:

Taking halved damage from Magic attacks could be equally useful, as always in Splinterlands taking decisions is not easy and we have to consider all the possibilities.

Lastly, we could think about using Monsters with the Silence ability:

But those type of Monsters is pretty rare to find at the moment.

Now, finished the introduction and the analyses of the Battle Rule, let's see the battle:

It is a Brawl Battle, so it is allowed to use one Gladiator card,
furthermore, there are two additional Battle Rules beyond the Armored Up, the Counterspell and the Lost Legendaries.

It is important to focus on the first one, with the Counterspell Battle Rule all the Magic attack Monsters will receive damage back, so considering this Rule the use of Magic Monsters should be limited.

So to be careful I chose to go with the Fire Summoner to boost my Melee Attack while using Tusk the Wide to eventually defend myself from Magic attack Monsters.

At the same time, I decided to focus on my Opponent's second-line Monsters thanks to the numerous Fire Monsters with the Stealth ability:

Orella Abadon is a Gladiator card that mixes awesome Abilities and Stats for only 2 Mana cost.

As you can see my Opponent, being scared of Magic Monsters too, chose the Death Summoner to decrease the Magic attack's power.

Well, thanks to Tusk the Wide I wasn't scared about Magic attacks, and my Monsters with the Stealth ability were ready to decimate my Opponet's second lines:

Furthermore using Tusk I canceled my Opponent's strategy to use Magic attack Monsters with the Life Leech Ability:

With the Life Leech ability the Monsters wouldn't be too vulnerable to the Counterspell Battle Rule...well not if there's a Monsters that doesn't take Magic Damage.

So, after two rounds I was already ahead:

Tusk died, but only after doing its Tank job, at the same time Orella Abadon managed to eliminate an Opponent's Monster boosting its Melee Attack stat.

And finally, I won:

Final Considerations: the Armored Up Battle Rule is interesting because it kinda forces you to use Magic attack Monsters, but in Splinterlands is always important to consider all the Battle Rules, furthermore the +2 in Armor stat is an important counter for physical attackers but if you manage to focus one Opponet's Monster at a time (using more than one Monster with the Stealth ability for example), you will be able to not suffer it too much, even not using only Magic attack Monsters.
