Magalli's "SHARE YOUR BATTLE Weekly Challenge!SUPPLY RUNNER!"

I'm writing this "Weekly Battle Challenge" just a few hours before the End Of the Season, I know we are all excited, especially after the big news about Rewards System that you can find here, but in this post, you will read only about the Supply Runner.

As previously written, the subject of this week is the Supply Runner.

Before talking about the card, I want to say that I analyzed it as a Bronze player.

1 ) Mana cost: 6 A really high Mana Cost, especially considering the absence of any abilities, won't make it easy to deploy the Supply Runner.

2 ) Range Attack: 2 Nice stat, but it is not enough to justify the high Mana Cost.

3 ) Speed: 3 Nice Speed stat, but nothing exceptional.

4 ) Expansion: Chaos Legion I highlighted that because in the near future the Expansion of a card will be essential to know if it is playable in the Modern format or in the Wild format (MF: playable only in the last two Expansions that came out on Splinterlands, WF: every Expansion is playable).

5 ) Health: 4 Nice stat, the Supply Runner can take a decent amount of damages before he gives up.

6 ) Element: Neutral this is the most versatile Element in Splinterlands because it can be played with every Summoner, independently from the Summoner's element.

Please Note: the Supply Runner has no Armor and no ability.

Even if the Supply Runner has a high Mana Cost that makes it not easily deployable, there are some Rules Of Combat that increase its chances to be useful in a battle:

The card is more useful when the Ranged Attackers have to be used when the "Rules Of Combat" give it a "free Ability" to take advantage of its nice Range Attack stat or when the absence of the Ability is not important.

So, the introduction of the Supply Runner is over, let's see how I used it in battle.

Rules Of Combat: Neutral "Heavy Hitters" is a Rule of Combat that says: All monsters do double damage when attacking an enemy that is stunned. Thinking about the absolute lack of Monsters with the "Stun" ability in Bronze League, this is a negligible Rule.

Mana Cap: Negative Considering the high Mana Cost of the Supply Runner, 19 is not enough to use it properly...but there was a Weekly Challenge to write, so I forced the team a little bit.

Active Elements: Neutral There isn't the Water Element but there's the Dragon one, so it is possible to face up a Summoner that gives an Armor Bonus.

To counter the eventuality of an Armor Bonus I chose to use the Earth Element that has strong Magic Attack Monsters (Magic Attacks ignore Armor).

I also own an Earth "trump card" the Queen Mycelia, a game-changer Legendary card that with the Protect ability (that gives +2 Armor to all friendly Monsters) would have been super useful in the eventuality that my Opponent had chosen the Fire Element (strong physical attackers).

So I chose my Level 2 Summoner:

And I took advantage of its level to use as a Tank the Mycelic Morphoid:

As a GF card it is like a Level 3 common card, so having the Level 2 Summoner I can count on its ability Thorns that makes it a really interesting 1 Mana Cost card.

After it, I deployed a classic "bait" card, the Chaos Agent:

With its 1 Mana Cost, it can absorb at least one attack from a Snipe ability Monster, protecting the core card of this strategy, the Queen Mycelia:

This card is probably one of the best of the Chaos Legion expansion, it can count on an amazing ability to counter Physical Attackers and it can Attack using Magic. Using it with the Obsidian Summoner will grant you a Card with an important Ability and 2 Magic Attack only for 4 Mana Cost, amazing.

After it I deployed the Djinn Biljka:

This Reward Legendary card has the Camouflage ability that makes it "invisible" to all the Opponent's Monsters if it is not in the first position, considering its low Health, this ability makes this card a useful one, especially if you are scared about Sneak ability Monsters (that target the Monster in the last position).

And to finish the line-up I deployed the Supply Runner, I remind you that as a Range Attack Monster it can't attack if it is in the first position (except with particular Rules Of Combat).

Even if I used the Supply Runner out of its "comfort zone" I was pretty sure about my strategy, and luckily my Opponent decided to go with the Drake of Arnak summoner, receiving only an Armor Bonus.

As it was predictable having Magic Attackers (who ignore the Armor Bonus) and having an Armor Bonus thanks to the Queen Mycelia helped me a lot in this battle:

Even the Supply Runner managed to survive doing a nice amount of damage and avoiding triggering the Opponent's Tank Thorns Ability.

Final Consideration: The Supply Runner is not a really useful card at low levels, because its high Mana Cost is not justified by its stats or ability, but leveling it up, it could be a really nice idea:

In higher leagues and at higher levels it can become a really nice support card with a nice Range Attacks and abilities.
