Hi friends!

I hope all of you are doing well in your personal life and also enjoying quality time with your family and friends. The crypto market currently seems yo be pretty stable after the downtrend with BTC currently trading at 29.7k USD and ETH at 1,967 USD. But, I think it won’t drop any further than this, as they have found a strong support at this level. The major crypto tokens are also following the same trend with these two dominators and the same can be seen in our hive too.

But on the other hand, Splinterlands is creating a hype even in this down market with their lucrative SPS node licence sale, which is just about to happen in 20 minutes as I am writing this post. The price of SPS has gone spiky high with a current price of 0.11$ while Vouchers also played well and reached the 2$ price mark again. The dec price is also a little bit above than it’s pegged value. So, overall .. it’s a happy season ongoing in Splinterlands and I am enjoying it very much.

CURSED WINDEKU

Now, let me come straight to my theme as today, I will be showcasing another spectacular Chaos monster, Cursed Windeku with you all.

Cursed Windeku is a Rare type card and belong to the Death splinter. This chaos card costs 6 mana to be used in battles and it’s attack style is Melee. Because of it’s defensive stats and abilities, many players love to choose this monster as their front defence. Now, let is find about it’s tier wise Stats and Abilities to understand it’s worth in different Tiers from Bronze to Champ.

image.png

Bronze

You can use upto level 2 of this card in ranked bronze tier. At level 2, this card possesses 2 melee attack at 3 speed with 10 health along with the Thorns ability that it gets from it’s initial level.

Silver

At level 4, the stats of Windeku gets increased with 3 melee attack at 3 speed with 11 health along with the Thorns ability. The high level stats with Thorns makes it a good opponent of melee cards.

Gold

At level 6, this card gets 3 melee attack at 3 speed with 11 health and also gets the Heal ability from previous level. With the heal ability, now this monster becomes more defensive and long lasting in medium mana limit matches.

Diamond/Champ

At level 8, Windeku unlocks it’s true potential with 4 melee attack at 3 speed 11 health along with Thorns, Heal and Slow ability. The increased melee attack will surely help you in killing down enemy card faster.

Important Points about Windeku

  • Windeku get the Thorns ability since it’s initial level. Along with High health, it makes the Windeku a strong card against melee.
  • This card gets the heal ability from Gold level and this becomes a nightmare against weak attackers to kill it down. If you can protect him properly, Windeku can stand alive way longer than you normally think.
  • The speed of Windeku however is low throughout all it’s tier. Even in max level, it possesses only 3 speed. Guess it was meant for him to consume attacks more than doing so.
  • The slow ability on the other hand repaint the pain upto a bit by slowing down enemies by 1 speed. But you only get the ability at max level, so don’t forget to upgrade him to max!

Market Stat

CURSED WINDEKU Is currently being traded for only $1.06 per BCX and will cost you about 899.115 DEC and onwards.

Battle Line-up

Battle Link: Click here

mana Cap: 13

Splinters allowed: Fire, Water, Life, Death and Dragon.

Ruleset:

  • Armored Up - All the monsters gets +2 armor at the beginning of this battle.

  • Melee Mayhem - Melee monsters can attack from any position in this battle.

Well, this time I got a small 13 mana limit match with the Armored up and Melee Mayhem ruleset. Only 3 Splinters were allowed to be chosen and I chose the Death and made a reverse type lineup with Windeku at the end.

FURIOUS CHICKEN

image.png

I chose the furious chicken at the front position of my line because of its zero mana cost. it will die first on the battlefield, giving my rear monsters one more turn to do their job. I am using a level five in here and it has 1 melee attack at one speed with one health along with the enrage ability.

CARRION SHADE

image.png

To hold the enemy attack, I choose another small mana card but with flying ability, Carrion Shade. I chose level 10 of this card and it has 2 melee attack at four speed with three health along with the flying ability and it costs only one Mana to use it.

CURSED SLIMEBALL

image.png

At third position, I choose the cursed slimeball because of its good Melee attack with redemption ability. I am using a level 10 of this card and it has two Melee attack at three speed with four health along with the redemption ability.

UNDEAD PRIEST

image.png

To weak the enemy cards further, I choose the Undead Priest at the fourth position of my lineup. I am using a level eight in here and it has one magic attack at two speed with six health along with two abilities - weaken and slow.

CURSED WINDEKU

image.png

I choose the Cursed Windeku at the rearmost position of my lineup so that it gets protected for the longest, and also defences if the opponent uses any sneak cards. I am using a level eight of this card hair and it possesses four Melee attack at three speed with 11 health along with three abilities Thorns, Heal and Slow.

Match Result

image.png

As the battle lineups got revealed, I found out that my opponent is using the Dragon summoner prince Julian which costs only two Mana. he has used the Furious Chicken at his front position, followed by Gargoya Scrapper, sacred unicorn, Mighty Dricken, Soul Fiend and the Fiendish Harpy at the end of his lineup. He also choose Lo mana cost monsters at the front and highly valued ones at the bank to protect them for a longer time just like I did with my lineup now let’s see how am Cursed Windeku performs in this match.

image.png

As the first round begins my Carrion attacked the first and broke down the shield of the enemy Chicken. But soon after, the enemy Unicorn started his rampage by killing down my chicken and activating it’s Trample ability to hit once more. But gladly, it missed it’s attack upon my Carrion. The enemy Harpy attacked next and broke down my Carrion’s shield. My Windigo attacked then and killed the chicken followed by the slimeball attacks, which took down the shield from the scrapper. Next, my priest attacked but failed to damage the scrapper because of its void ability, followed by the enemy soul Fiend’s attack, which missed its target on my Carrion. At last, the Dricken attacked and lowered my Carrion’s health down to 2, followed by the Scrapper’s attack which further reduced it to 1 and the round ended here.

image.png

At around two, my Carrion attacked first and killed the scrapper, followed by the unicorn’s attack, which killed my carrion and again started its trample by hitting the slimeball, which was next in line and also reduced its health down to 2. The enemy Harpy attacked after that and finally killed the wounded slimeball, but then the slimeball’s redemption ability reduced every enemy monster’s shield by one. my Windeku and priest attacked next and reduced the enemy unicorn’s health down to 8. The soul fiend attacked next and reduced my priest’s armour to 1, followed by the dricken’s attack, which failed to hit its target and the second round ended here.

image.png

When Round three begins, the Sacred Unicorn attacked first and wounded the priest‘s health down to 3, followed by the enemy herpy’s attack, which further wounded it down to one health. My Windeku and priest attacked next and brought down the unicorn’s health down to 4, but then the enemy soul fiend attacked and killed down the priest, leaving my Windeku as the only monster left on my side. The Dricken attacked at last but again missed its target upon my Windeku and the round 3 ended here.

image.png

At round four, the unicorn again attacked at first and wounded my windeku’s health down to 9, but Windeku also reverse damaged it with its thorns and left the unicorn with only six health remaining. next, Harpy attacked the Windeku and broke it’s shield, followed by the soul fiend’s attack, which brought down my windeku’s health down to 6, but also lost its armour die to thorns. then, my Windeku healed back itself to 9 health and attacked the unicorn and left him with only two health remaining. the Dricken attacked at last and hitted the Windeku, but also lost its armour in the process and the round four ended here.

image.png

As the round five begins, the unicorn healed back and attacked the Windeku, leaving it with only 4 health, but also got damaged down to 3 health due to the thorns damage. The Harpy attacked next and wounded the Windeku down to 2 health, but also received the thorns damage and remained with only two health. Next, the Soul Fiend attacked and left my Windeku with only one health, but also got killed in the process. Now, it was my Windeku’s turn, and he healed back and with its high Melee attack, it killed down the unicorn. At last, the dricken attacked and left my Windeku with only three health, but also got damaged back and the round five ended here.

image.png

At around six, Harpy attacked first and damaged my windeku’s health down to 2, but also got killed because it had only two health remaining and got damaged by the thorns damage from my Windeku. My Windeku then healed beck to 4 health and attack the Dricken, reducing it’s health down 5. The 1v1 fight didnt go longer and at level 7, my Windeku finally killed it down while still having 5 health left and thus, I score another good win in the ranked.

It was a fantastic low mana limit match and I am stunned right now seeing my Carrion's exceptional performance at initial rounds. So, do you love this New rare chaos card or prefer other options first? Please let me know in the comments below and I will be meeting you all in my next post.

Wish you all good luck on all of your future Splinterlands matches.
