Hello readers!

I hope all of you are doing very well in your life and also enjoying this awesome game in meantime. The season just ended some days ago so right now the battlefield is quite and peaceful compared to those bloody season end days. For me, I am just playing for the daily quests and burning the DEC meter enough to get recharged fully for the next day. But it’s only 9 days left for this current season to end and I gotta reach that Diamond I as soon as possible to collect more reward loot chests and I would advice you all to reach to your goal tier faster as well. I think the the quality of reward chests also got boosted as I got several epic and legendary cards and multiple chaos packs in last season. So, thanks to splinterlands and I hope all of you all get lucrative rewards from those chests.

On the other hand, splinterlands just published their latest town hall post and shared further information on SPS validator node update. The SPS node licence sale structure have made in a way that they will be available to buy even after years, as each time a phase ends, in the next phase it will require more money to buy a node licence. The team is also working strongly to increase the value of SPS over time so those higher tranche sales viable. However, I am trying my best to buy an collect vouchers to get in into the pre-sale. I have already collected 231 vouchers and hoping to finish collecting 500 of them asap. We already experienced the craziness in the previous Waka summoner sale where 500 waka cards got sold within seconds, you have be absolutely ready with the tokens when the Flash sale starts to buy the Node licence in time. For those who don’t know yet, in the pre-sale, there will be only 2000 node licences available for sale, each costing 1000$ in SPS and 500 vouchers.

MERDAALI GUARDIAN

Now, let us move towards our main theme as today, I am going to showcase another sizzling Chaos monster with you all. As you have already guessed from today’s thumbnail, today I will talk about the MERDAALI GUARDIAN.

Daali is a rare type card that belongs to the water realm and it got released as a chaos edition card. It costs only 3 mana to be used in the battlefield and it doesn’t have any attack power. Hmm.. already losing interest? Then you may be missing out an awesome card with such a great potential.

image.png

Daali is made for defensive lineups mainly, to provide heal and repair to your frontal defence. In medium and high mana matches, we often rely on our front defence card. But sometimes luck doesn’t favour on your side and your front defence lost quickly and suddenly the super tough lineup gets helpless and the rear monsters also dies within time, costing you another loss. But with Daali, the things get changed, because your front defence now gets lots of support from it during the battle and stay alive for a longer period of time. So, let us now look further into this card tier-wise to find out more about this card.

Bronze

At level 2, this card possesses 3 speed with 3 health and also gets the Tank Heal ability since its initial level.

Silver

At level 4, this card possesses 3 speed with 5 health. The increased health will help her staying alive for a long time in silver tier.

Gold

At level 6, this card possesses : speed with 5 health and also gets another ability - Repair from level 5. The repair ability will repair back any wounded armour by a certain limit of the first friendly monster in your lineup.

Diamond/Champion

At level 8, this monster gets 4 speed with 4 health and also gets the Strengthen ability. This ability will give +1 health to all of your friendly monsters.

Important points about Daali:

  • The main advantage of using this monster is it’s Heal + Protect ability combo which both heals your front defence card and also repairs it’s armour, if broken. So if you planning to spend your manas after a high powered defence card like the Kraken, Spineback Turtle or the Diemonshark, you may consider choosing Daali to boost your defence with healing and repair.
  • Thou it helps your frontal defence with its awesome abilities, it doesn't hold any type of attack. So its not gonna help you directly killing enemies.
  • Considering its mana cost, its super usable even in mini mana matches. You can also consider it in medium mana limit and in little leagues ruleset matches.
  • However, Daali only possesses 4 health even in its highest level, so its pretty vulnerable against any type of attack. Also, taking in account that it cannot attack, you have to consider whereas to protect this monster and sacrifice your attackers or vice versa.

Market Stat

image.png

Merdaali Guardian is currently being sold at the official splinterlands card market for only 0.49$ per BCX and will cost you about 300.822 DEC. There are also some high level Daali available at low rate if anyone is interested.

Battle Line-up

Battle Link: Click here

mana Cap: 25

Splinters allowed: Fire, Water and Death.

Ruleset:

  • Stampede - The Trample ability can be applied continuously if the targeted monster dies each time.

DIEMONSHARK

image.png

I chose the Diemonshark at my front position because it has a good armour + health combo so the Daali can help him without a hassle. It also carries the Trample + retaliate ruleset so there’s a good chance it will perform multiple Stampede attacks. I am using a level 8 in here and it has 4 melee attack at 4 speed with 6 armour and 10 health along with 3 abilities - Trample, Enrage and Retaliate ability.

MERDAALI GUARDIAN

image.png

I chose the Merdaali Guardian at the second position of my lineup mainly to help my Diemonshark with healing and repair his broken shield. I am using a level 8 in here and it has 4 speed with 4 health along with 3 abilities - Heal, Repair and Strengthen ability.

MERMAID HEALER

image.png

I chose the Mermaid Healer at the third place of my lineup mainly because of it’s cleanse ability, that will remove all the negative status effects like poison, slow, weaken etc. from my diemonshark and also heal my backline monsters with Triage. I am using a level 8 in here and it has 1 magic attack at 3 speed with 5 health along with 3 abilities - Cleanse, Strengthen and Triage.

CRUSTACEAN KING

image.png

I used the Crustacean King at fourth position of my lineup mainly to give all my friendly monsters +2 armour and also heal the Diemonshark. I am using a level 10 in here and it has 2 range attack at 1 speed with 2 armour and 4 health along with 2 abilities - Heal and Protect.

IGOR DARKSPEAR

image.png

I chose the new chaos monster Igor Darkspear at the fifth place of my lineup mainly because of it’s high 3 range attack with Stun. I am using a level 6 in here and it has 3 range attack at 3 speed with 5 health along with the stun ability. Now, the more time it applies the stun, the better.

PIRATE ARCHER

image.png

I chose the Pirate archer at the last place of my lineup mainly because of it’s blast ability attack. I am using a level 8 in here and it has 2 range attack at 4 speed with 4 health along with the Blast ability.

Match Result

image.png

Well, it was a medium 25 mana limit match with Trample ruleset. Respecting the available summoners and my craving to put a monster with trample ability, the Diemonshark seems to fit the best, so I selected him as my front defence. I chose the Daali at rear position so that it goes down before my rear attacking cards. However, as the match got revealed, I found out that my opponent is also using the same summoner Kelya Frendul and also used the Diemonshark but at the reach potion while his front place was occupied by a level 8 Furious Chicken. At the third position, he placed the Deeplurker, followed by Daali, Igor and Xenith Archer. His deeplurker can creat problems for my low health monsters, and the Daali will be his first priority. But, let’s see how the match goes.

image.png

As the match started, the enemy Xenith archer attacked first and reduced my Diemonshark’s shield, followed by my pirate archers’ blast attack which damaged the armour of both the furious chicken and the Diemonshark. Next, my Daali repaired the broken armour of Diemonshark back to 9 and afterwords, my Diemonshark attacked and killed the chicken. Thus, it unlocked it’s Trample ability and attacked again to the enemy Diemonshark and reduced its shield. The enemy Daali acted next and repaired the Diemonshark’s armour. Then, the deeplurker attacked and broke down my daali’s armour, followed by My mermaid healers’ turn and she cleansed out my Diemonshark’s melee attack from enemy demoralise ability and then damaged the enemy Diemonshark with it’s 1 magic attack. The enemy Diemonshark thus unlocked it’s Enrage ability. Then the enemy Igor attacked and reduced my Diemonshark’s armour to 6. Next my Igor attacked but missed its target, followed by my King’s attack which again reduced the enemy Diemonshark’s armour down to 3 and the first round ended here.

image.png

At second round, my Diemonshark was battling with 6 armour and 12 health remaining while the enemy Diemonshark was having less stat but with unlocked Enrage ability. As the round started, The enemy Diemonshark attacked and broke down my sharks’ shield, followed by my pirate archers’ attack but it missed it’s target upon the enemy diemonshark. Then, the enemy Xenith archer attacked and damaged my diemonshark’s Health down to 10, but it also unlocked the Enrage ability. next, my Diemonshark attacked and broke down the enemy sharks’ shield, but it then retaliate back and again damaged my sharks health down to 4. Then, the enemy Daali repaired and healed the enemy shark and same was done by my Daali as well. Afterwords, the Deeplurker attacked and damaged my daali’s health down to 1, but then my mermaid healer healed back the Daali and then damaged the enemy shark’s health with it’s magic attack. Next, my Igor attacked and broke down the enemy sharks shield again and also applied the Stun ability upon him. next, the enemy Igor attacked and broke down my shark’s shield and also stunned it down. next, my crustacean king healed back the shark but failed to launch its range attack upon the enemy shark and the second round ended here.

image.png

As the third round started, my pirate archer attacked first and damaged the enemy diemonshark and also took away the shield from the enemy deeplurker. The enemy Xenith archer attacked next and damaged my shark’s health down to 10. Then, my Daali healed and repaired back my diemonshark’s health and armour, followed by the enemy Daali’s turn which did the same with their shark. Afterwards, the deeplurker attacked and finally killed down my Daali, followed by my mermaid healers’ magic attack which wounded the enemy shark again. Next, the enemy Igor attacked and broke down my shark’s shield, followed by my Igor’s attack which also did the same and also applied stun upon the enemy shark. Next, my Crustacean king attacked but again missed it’s target and the round 3 ended here.

image.png

As the round four started, the enemy Xenith archer again attacked first and damaged my shark, followed by my sharks attack who wounded the enemy shark’s health down to 4. Then, my pirate archer attacked but missed its target on the enemy shark, followed by the enemy Daali’s turn, which healed back and repaired their shark. Next, the Deeplurker attacked and took away my crustacean King’s armour, followed by my mermaid healer’s magic attack which again damaged the enemy shark’s health. Then, the enemy Igor attacked and damaged my shark’s health down to 6, followed bye my Igor’s attack who unluckily missed its target on the enemy shark. The crustacean king attacked at last but missed its target again, but it successfully healed back my shark’s health to 9 and the round four ended here.

image.png

As the fifth round started, the enemy shark attacked first and wounded my shark’s health down to 3, followed by my sharks attack and it finally killed down the enemy shark and launched another attack to the next enemy in line, which was deeplurker. The deeplurker got wounded badly and remained with only two health after my sharks deadly attack upon it. Then, the pirate archer attacked and finally killed down the wounded deeplurker and also took away the shield from the enemy Daali. next, the Xenith archer attacked and wounded my shark’s health down to 1, followed by the enemy Daali’s turn who repaired back its broken armour. then, both my mermaid healer and Igor attacked and wounded the daali’s health down to 4, followed by the enemy Igor’s attack which finally killed down my shark. The Crustacean king attacked at last and wounded the enemy Daali with only two health remaining and the round five ended here.

image.png

As the sixth round started, my pirate archer attacked first and finally killed down the enemy Daali, followed by the Xenith archers’ attack which reduced the shield upon my mermaid healer. My mermaid attacked next and damaged the enemy Igor, followed by my Igor’s and Crustacean King’s back-to-back attack, which finally killed down the enemy Igor and around six ended here, with only leaving the Xenith Archer alive on the enemy side. Not to mention that the Xenith also got taken into care at round 7 and I scored another good win in the ranked battles!

It was an intense match as both of the lineups was having similar summoner and even some cards. Both of us put our trust into the Diemonshark + Daali combo, but whereas he chose the Deeplurker to eat my low health monsters faster, I rather chose mostly range monsters targeting the front defence and protecting my front defence Diemonshark. Luckily, my defensive strategy worked out and thanks to the beloved Daali for her unexpected performance in this particular battle.

I hope most of you have bought this Daali card by now and may have used it already in ranked battles, tournaments or in brawls. Let me know your experience and feeling about this card and if this card is a must-have in your collection, and I will be seeing you all in my next post!

Wish you all good luck on all of your future Splinterlands matches.
