What’s up my fellow splinterlands lovers!

Well, I hope all of you are having an awesome day with your friends and family and also hope that you are finding enough time daily to play the game and complete your daily missions. We have already passed more than halfway of this ongoing tourney and only 6 days and some hours left for this ranked season to meet its end, So I guess everyone is trying with their best right now to collect as many reward chests as possible from both daily focus and season. However, for me I am still playing on light-mode and didn't start renting the missing cards in my deck yet and will do only during the season end. This season I am quite busy with some offline life hurdles and couldn't give enough time to play, right now I am just trying to throw enough ranked matches daily so that I don’t waste any energies. But however, even after loosely playing since the start of this season, I have still managed to get a total of 37 season chests so far and tight now, my target for this season would be getting at least 60-70 season reward chests before the season timer hits zero.

Now, let us move on to the main topic of this post as today, I am going to showcase one of my recent ranked match in where I scored an awesome victory using mostly sneak and opportunity monsters. This season I am trying to create some new, unique but battle worthy strategies to perform better in battles, but obviously experimenting in this game is a tough job and you will come across many losses in battles until you come out with a good strategy. I love to play with sneak monsters since the beginning of my journey in this game and after the introduction of opportunity ability monsters, the fun got increased even more. Now, without further ado, let us jump in the battle I am about to show below and talk about the strategy.

As you can see from the battle stats and my lineup above, it was a big 40 mana limit match with only 2 splinters allowed - Life and Death and there were 3 match rulesets - Blast, Thorns and melee only ruleset. The combo of these 3 rulesets were interesting because we can only choose melee monsters in this match but every monster will have thorns ability as well, on top of that there will be blast ability added to every monster so the match will be full of deadly blasts and probably won't go longer. So, I thought for some time and finally made my lineup accordingly.

First of all, I used the Neutral summoner Lux Vega as it was the most suited summoner in this match that I had in my arsenal. It’s +1 armour will protect my monsters from the first melee attack, while the +1 speed will allow my monsters to attack faster and the +1 health to help them stay for longer. Anyways, I chose the Coeurl Lurker at my first place of the lineup mainly to lure all the enemy monster to attack it first and save my backline monsters, cause in melee inly matches the opponent will surely use multiple sneak monsters against me. After coeurl, I chose the Runi mainly because of it’s Reflection Shield to save me from the blast damages, followed by Silent sha-Vi, Sand Worm, Undead Badger and Battling Ram at the end of my lineup. The sha-vi and sand worm are the top 2 monsters in my lineup and I placed them at the middle of this lineup so that they stay alive for longer.

As both the players lineup got revealed, I find out that my opponent used the legendary Mimosa Nightshade summoner against me snd at his front, he used the Phantasm, followed by Cursed Windeku, Maggots, Silent sha-Vi, Harklaw and Ever Hungry Skull at the end of his lineup. Looking a glance of the 2 lineups, I got a little positive signal that I may win this one, then I started watching the battle to analyse.

At first round, both the silent sha-Vi missed their target inspite of having so much speed, but then my Badger and Ram attacked the enemy skull and the ram broke down its thick armour with the help of Shatter ability. The enemy phantasm also attacked and took the armour from my coeurl but received thorns damage also. My coeurl attacked next and missed its target onto the phantasm but then my lucky sand worm attacked the skull and for its snare ability, it easily took it down and also blast damaged the Harklaw’s armour. The enemy maggot attacked my coeurl afterwards but reduced its own health because of the thorns, and lastly my Runi attacked the wounded maggot and killed it down and also damaged and the adjacent monsters to it with blast and the first round ended here.

As the second round begins, the enemy phantasm again attacked but missed its target in my coeurl, followed by the attack from my sha-vi that wounded both the enemy harklaw and sha-vi. But after some attacks, my sand worm launched its big attack upon the harklaw and not only wounded him, but also killed the enemy sha-vi adjacent to it with blast. Then, my Runi worked like a charm and took down the phantasm with both direct attack and thorns damage when it was attacking back and the round 2 ended here.

At third round, only 2 enemy monsters were left while I still had all the monsters alive so at this point, I was definitely winning this match. As the round started, my silent sha-vi, badger and ram attacked the harklaw back to back and almost wounded both of them down near death, but sadly my ram died due to thorns damage. But then, my coeurl attacked and killed the Windeku and them the last blow from mu sand worm easily killed the enemy harklaw and this, I won another great match scored myself a victory.
