Splinterlands | the Rebellion cards are changing the whole game

What’s up my fellow Splinterlands Lovers!
I hope all of you are having a great day with your loved ones and if you are a splinterlands player just like me, I hope you are coping well with the massive change that is currently going on in this game due to the new Rebellion edition cards that are currently ruling the battleground in this game. It has been only 2 days since the general sale of the newest Rebellion edition packs has began but if you are a daily player, you must have already used or watched Rebellion coming against you in battles and I know that pretty sure, these new edition monsters will capture the whole arena and become the strongest fighters in a matter of time. There will be a total of 9.5 million packs that ever be minted in this edition and out of that amount, 500k packs have been already sold in the pre-sale and the rest 9 million packs have been listed for the general sale. But unlike all other previous editions, Rebellion has brought so much new into this universe that the whole gameplay is changing in a new unique way. Not only have they come with 4 new rulesets but they also have brought 2 more unique things with them that didn't exist in this game till now, multi-ability and dual element summoners and interactions post-battle submission. With the introduction of this new edition card-set, Rebellion has already been made in place in the modern format ranked play and the old untamed edition cards got replaced by this newest edition. Now without a doubt, these cards will rule the game until the next 2 core card-set edition gets launched which I think it take at least another 2 years to happen. So keeping that in mind, I am thinking to start investing in this newest edition cards as soon as possible and filling my collection with them one by one but at max level to help me play in the Champion League. But due to having a lower print count than its predecessor Chaos edition and also because of the new change in airdrop cards where we have to hold packs to get a chance to get airdrop cards, I don't think the card prices for Rebellion edition will come down like Chaos, so I have to construct my strategy accordingly.

Now, talking about my personal progress in the game, if you are a frequent reader of my posts, you know that I use to play in modern format and fight in the Champions League. But ad the general sale for the Rebellion edition has started and these Rebellion packs can now be also opened and Rebellion cards can be used in the ranked gameplay and other sectors as well, it has done quite a backfire on me and I guess the case is same with many of you as well, because from now on, we can not use our untamed cards in modern ranked gameplay anymore and either we have to buy and upgrade Rebellion cards or just have to rely on chaos cards to play in a modern format. For those who play in high league eg. Gold league or above know that it is impossible to compete with only having - out of 2 series of cards and as expected since the Rebellion cards can be used in modern ranked and untamed cards got banned, I am Losing matches like a noob even when my opponent is only using lower level rebellions against me. Not only in ranked but I certainly know that this is bound to affect the brawl and tournaments for me as well and at this point onwards, without having Rebellion cards, I can not play competitively into modern format anymore. So right now my first and foremost goal in splinterlands is to collect Rebellion cards and after handling my current financial situation, I will be fully focusing on buying rebellion cards and make myself a max rebellion card-set asap. Until then, I have decided to rent out my chaos card collection and to collect some funds that will help me start buying the rebellion cards.

Now, let me talk about brawls before closing the post and I know just like me many of you also actively play brawls, especially if you are in a guild. Playing Brawls is the best way to collect merit points because though merit points are available in reward chests, their amount is very low compared to brawl rewards. Any splinterlands player who is here for the long term should know the importance of Gladius cards, which we obtain by opening gladius packs and the inly way to buy these Gladius packs are by only using merits that you earn through playing snd cannot buy or selling to others. So if you want to be competitive and win more, you must grab those gladius cards asap and that’s why I personally recommend anyone whose already playing splinterlands to focus in Brawl, find or build a guild and start playing every Brawl.

Now for me, I am an old player in The Neoxian Guild and as a guild, we just finished playing another great brawl against other good guilds and this time, gladly we achieved the second position in the lb. First of all, I want to say thanks to the Guild Owner Mr. Neoxian, our guild officer Xawi and all my fellow guild mates who played this brawl so well and as a result, we won second place this time. As for rewards, the guild won a total of 177 Crowns and each guild player who submitted all their frays (no one missed as usual) got rewarded with a total of 10957 merit points and 142.879 staked SPS. We all are happy with the results but wish we could fight a little better and come to the top. But let’s not worry about the past as we are already getting ready for our upcoming brawl and will try our best to snatch away the top place the next time.
Let me know your thoughts in the comment section below and I will be seeing you all in my next post.

Wish you all good luck on all of your future Splinterlands matches.
