What’s up my fellow Splinterlands Players!

I hope all of you are doing well in your life an also enjoying the game daily in your free time while competing in ranked, tourney and brawls using your skill and collection. Well, a new era of Rebellions has emerged into the battlefield of Splinterlands and they seem to have captured the modern format battles already. Only a few no of ranked season have passed since the rebellion cards got launched but within a little time frame, many people are already owning good collections or even max and ruling the ranked arena and other formats so I am also trying my best to gather as many rebel cards as fast as possible and make a competitive deck once again. As we speak, only 6 days and 17 hours has left for the ongoing ranked season to end, so I hope all of you are working well to fill your season bad with more reward chests while reaching your goal league or a place in the lb before the season ends. For me, I am as usual fighting in Champion league and after fighting for time, finally I have touched the top most tier Champ I today and very happy with my achievement. Today I got the Reflect as my focus ruleset and finished playing for the day after collecting 12 focus chests and looking at the season reward bar, so far I have been able to collect a total of 73 reward chests and having another almost 7 days before the end, I am pretty confident that I can cross 100 season chests this time, but let’s see how it goes.

The Conflict Airdrop Update

On the other hand, the long awaiting CONFLICT airdrop mechanism update for rebellion edition has finally released today in splinterlands website and now, we can stake our Rebellion packs and cards to get chances to receive airdrop cards. There will be total 9 airdrops of special limited edition rebellion cards and each of them will be given out to users who hold rebellion pack and cards and collect contribution points and get chances. In order to stake these rebel packs or cards, answer would need to buy a wagon that costs 50 vouchers and stake his rebellion assets into it. Multiple vouchers can be bought and used and one can buy max 200 wagons per transaction. Each wagon can support upto 100 Rebellion packs or 5 Rebellion cards and for packs and every card based in their type and total BCX no, they will give you contribution points which will beck added until the end of Conflict phase. After the conflict phase end, airdrop cards will be given out to stakers based on the no of chances they got. There will be 2 guarantee card for every 200 chances anyone collects during the conflict phase.

Some Important Things to keep in Mind about Conflict

  • The amount of contribution point of any card is equal to its current Power where 1 BCX legendary rebellion card holds 500 power and 1 BCX of common Rebellion card holds only 5 power etc. For packs, each rebellion pack will give 100 points.
  • Upon reaching every 100k contribution points, the user will get 1 chance and the kore chance anyone has when the airdrop happens, the more chance jn he will receive airdrop card.
  • A wagon can support max 5 cards irrespective of their upgrade level. Max level of any card will provide the a slight more contribution points because of their higher CP so stacking max level cards are advisable to collect more points.
  • The Gold foil cards possess more power points than an ordinary Regular foil card, for example - a legendary regular foil card possesses only 500 points but a gold foil BCX legendary card possesses a whopping 12500 power. So staking gold foil of any type of rebellion card will get you way more contribution points then those regular foil ones. However, the gold foil card costs also a lot of money so I would say go for regular foil ones but max level.
  • When you update the status ( replace or adding cards or packs) of an active wagon, it will go into cool-down more for 15 minutes and during this time, you can not make anymore change to the wagon. However, cards themselves wont get affected and can be transferred or traded immediately after unloading from wagon.
  • You can not remove an existing rebel card from a wagon directly, but you need to replace it with another card. (It may be just a glitch and may been be updated by the team, or is it meant to be there?)

My conflict Strategy

As for me, today when I woke up snd turned on splinterlands to find out that the Conflict has started already around 3 hours before, I quickly grabbed all my existing rebel card and bought 3 wagons and stored them all. After the process I immediately started earnings earning around 23k Contribution points per hour. After some hours of waiting I finally made my first chance point. But as I calculated respecting that we get only 1 guarantee chance for every 290 chance points, I realised that I must stake a lots of lots of cards to be able to get my hands on at least 1 or 2 of them.

As I am starting to play with my own account from the next week, I will be needing rebellion cards to become competitive in modern format. So I have decided to go for one rebellion card at a time and upgrade it to max level, so that both I can use them well in arena and it also gives me. Good amount of contribution points. Till now, I have collected total 7 max level cards and some at Gold and lower level and I will continue my journey until I collect and make a complete max collection. I have a current rate of 30,015 contribution pointss per hous and hope I get at least 1 card to get me some motivation.

I hope you liked reading my post and also participating in the conflict with full force. What’s your thought about this Conflict event, let me know in the comments below and I will be seeing you all in my next post.

Good luck on the airdrop!
I'm skipping on Rebellion for now after getting burned on Chaos Legion

Chaos burned my hands a bit too, too much availability ruined the whole thing but they learned that and applied to rebellion. Hope rebel performs better than chaos as time runs !pimp

What I mainly hoped to see is for them to somewhat make right for the Chaos Legion disaster with a requirement to burn a similar type card in the soulbound reward unlocks. That would keep the overall card supply similar instead of inflating it more. I guess the upcoming card burn event might do that.

I always had the idea to hold cards for the long run, use part to play and others on the rental market seeing them appreciate over time as they become more rare. This hasn't exactly played out as I hoped as the utility has mainly been stripped away from them with the requirement to always invest more.

I get though that it's not a "invest once, profit forever" thing, but still. At this point, it's hard to call Splinterlands a play2earn game as only part of the earnings covers the eventual decline in card values. I really hope something is implemented or done to fix this. For Rebellion this seems to be just a temporary fix with the eventual decline coming.

What also would help is for the game to actually become more fun for everyone with some new game modes.
