What’s up my fellow splinterlands players!

I hope all of you are doing pretty well in your life and if you also play this awesome game just like me, I guess right now, all of your focus is to play the ranked matches well and ladder up your rank to meet your goal as soon as possible. Right now as we are talking, the ongoing season has already come near halfway and only 9 days and 18 hours left to meet its end, so while you are trying to reach your goal, also be sure to keep collecting as much focus and season reward chests as possible so that your effort becomes fruitful. For me, as usual I am playing in the Diamond league and have successfully got myself into Diamond I tire already. Though I have a collection of all max level cards, I chose not to play in the champion league because too many OG players are being crowded up in there already and unlike most of them, I lack many cards from the untamed and dice edition which are a mist need to compete against them. Because of the down market, no doubt the latest chaos legion edition cards are affected heavily and all the subset cards are selling for dirt cheap, even for the max levels but if you look at the previous sets, the case is not the same for them. However, as I am playing on a daily basis and also try to collect at least 10 - 14 reward chests per focus mission and also a lot of season reward chests after the season end, I am gladly upgrading my soul-bound reward edition cards too and most of them are or soon to be gold league level.

Tinderlock

Now, let me now come to the main theme of this post as today, I am going to showcase an amazing new a riftwatchers card that I bought recently and like very much to use in high mana limit battles. As you have already guessed from the thumbnail above, today I will be talking about Tinderlock!

image.png

Tinderlock is a rare type of monster card that got released with the latest riftwatchers mini set card set. It is a range attack type card that costs 10 mana to be used in battles, so obviously you can not use it in small mana limit matches but on the other hand, it is very useful in medium to high mana limit matches. Let us now take a dive to find out more about this card tier-wise below.

image.png

Bronze

At level 2, this card possesses 3 ranged attack at 2 speed with 9 health along with 2 abilities that it gets since its initial level, Last Stand and Close range. While Last Stand ability gives him increased stats when it is the last alive monster in lineup, the Close Range ability gives him the ability to attack even from the first spot inspite of being a ranged card.

Silver

When you upgrade this card to level 4, it gets 3 ranged attack at 3 speed with 9 health and also gets anew ability, Silence. Now because of the Silence ability, this monster certainly becomes an anti card for enemy magic monsters.

Gold

This card becomes a better tank card at level 6 with an increased 11 health at 3 ranged attack with 3 speed but it doesn't get any new ability at this level. However, the increased health will help you to stay alive for longer and to win matches easily.

Diamond / Champion

When you upgrade this card to max level 7, this monster possesses an increased 4 ranged attack at 3 speed with 11 health and also a new ability Deathblow that it gets from level 9. With the Deathblow ability, this monster deals 2x damage when attacking the last monster in the enemy lineup.

Battle Analysis

Battle link

After playing for a while, I finally found a a ranked match with 45 mana limit so there was a good space to rest this monster and thus chose the card in my lineup. There were 3 rulesets applied in this particular match, Taking sides (no neutral monsters are allowed), Keep your Distance (minsters with melee attack can not be used in this match) and Counterspell (All monsters have the magic Reflect ability) and only 3 splinters were allowed to be used in this match, Fire, Water and Dragon.

As I analysed all the rulesets, I started arranging my lineup accordingly and for this match, I chose the Yodin Zaku as my summoner and at my first position, I chose the Iidri Fyre and followed by molten ash golem, Scavo Firebolt, Blood Maker, Ash Mirage and the Tinderlock at the last position. After submitting my lineup when the match got revealed, I found out that my opponent has used Byzantine Kitty Dragon summoner and chose Water monsters with it. At the front position of his lineup he chose Wave Brood followed by Baakjira, Kelp Initiate, Scale Doctor, Mirdhampir and the Axemaster at the last position.

image.png

As the match begins, my range monsters performed really well and even in the first round, my monsters were dominating the battle as the firebolt killed the enemy wave brood in the very first round and then my Tinderlock also wounded both Baakjira and Kelp Initiate.

image.png

In round 2, sadly my iidri fyre got dead by the axemaster at the beginning but my blood maker then took revenge and killed down the axemaster by himself. My Tinderlock also attacked both Baakjira and Kelp and with heavy damage to both of them, it left them both with only 1 health at last my ash golem attacked and killed both of them very easily.

image.png

At round 3, only 2 enemy monsters, Scale doctor and Mirdhampir were alive but wounded so I didn't have to work much to kill them and my blood maker and ash mirage together did the job very easily and thus I win the match.

It was an easy match and thou I hot got scared at first seeing my opponent using the legendary Byzantine Kitty against me, as the match progressed l, the wind blow for me and I killed all of the enemy minsters one by one where only 1 of my monster got dead in this battle. I thought the tinderlock would unlock its Last stand ability when the match goes near end but Saw its big attacks were alone enough to score me a victory in this match. By the way, do you also like this particular monster and have it in your collection or use it by renting from market? Let me know your thoughts about this monster in the comments below and I will be seeing you all in my next post.

I almost bought this card a few days ago, but went with a dragon, instead, but this has certainly made me reconsiderthat decision enoughto bump Tinderlock up to the top of my priority list. Looking g forward to seeing g what he can do with a Kitty summoner.

(Edited)

I have seen it to buy it, I am also taking advantage of the low market prices.
I won't be using it much in bronze, but when the opportunity comes it can do a good job. Sure, if I put him right in the lineup.
The explosion damage is very useful, in many battle conditions it is used a lot, it is an excellent fire summoner.
