Addicted to Splinterlands, “Nothing Can Stop me I’m on my Way UP!” Let’s Earn SPS

I patiently wait for the opportunity to replenish my energy, after 24 hours pass, I once again can purchase what is required, another 50 games boasting maximum reward shares. Although relatively expensive especially when playing in Champion League at 500 DEC per energy, I have a target in mind, to ensure the minimum of 10 Champion Chests per day, and 100 End of Season Champion Chests. I have invested in maxing out my personal deck and intend to use it as much as possible, still renting some of the most important Untamed Cards to ensure victory. This is the perfect opportunity to accumulate Soul Bound Cards, SPS and, dare I say it Potions. I remember how much I had spent on potions previously, Splinterlands has now given us an opportunity to Hoddle before new sets are released. I most definitely will not be shying away from opening some packs.

With the information regarding SPS requirements affecting reward shares, at first, I was rather surprised and, in a way, disheartened, this had no way, however, stopped the wheels turning for me, and instead, instilled clearer objectives. It is apparent that the more stake you have, the more you should be able to earn, there are no free rides, besides, someone I look up to in this space had mentioned to me previously, that I Million SPS should be my Target. I had also come to the conclusion that for sure I was not the only one that would be short of the requirements to gain maximum reward share in Champion League and that perhaps I was ahead of the majority. Let the Rat Race Begin. I will now share with you, ways to earn SPS passively as well as competitively.

I have now decided to enter into all Relevant Tournaments, prior to the release, I had shone away from entering into High Stake, High Reward Tournaments, due to the mass take over of Personal Bot Users and Bot Helpers used for exploitation. On the flip side, entering into Tournaments, not only improves you as a player as you hone your skills within a competitive environment, it also rewards you for participation, usually I do earn from entering, so why would I let frustration get in the way of what I like to do.

Brawl Participation is also a great way to earn SPS. It is important that you take Brawls seriously, it is a Team Game, the better you do, the more rewards that you obtain. If you are a serious player, there are always Guilds that will support your goals, I am lucky enough to experience Tier 4 Brawls on my main and Tier 3 Brawls on my Secondary Account, and with 3 Brawls per season, not a bad earning for a few hours of your time.

I have also re-entered into Splinterlands Focused Liquidity pools which can earn passively Liquid SPS. At the moment the SWAPHIVE: SPS with an APR of 39.8% and SWAPHIVE: VOUCHER has a 42.5% APR have the best returns. I will continue to put my accumulated SPS until I reach 100K SPS, then I will stake it directly.

You can also earn approximately 20 SPS and 4 Vouchers per day by owning a Node Validator License. Another great way to earn passively. On the secondary market, you can purchase one for as little as 815 USD on the secondary market (I purchased mine for around 1600 USD, so really, it’s 50% off).

You can also earn 1.5 SPS per Plot of surveyed Land. Although quite small, every little can help and when land 1.5 comes out, I am sure that Splinterlands will provide our Community with more earning Opportunities.

And finally, your good old-fashioned Battle Rewards and Focus Chests. The brought me in almost 2000 SPS for last season. I will advise you that should you wish to really push your earnings in SPS, currently they are paying out more in the higher league on the WILD format, but fair warning, it’s quite difficult and some of the Top Splinterlands Players Lurk there this early in the season. If you enjoy a little pain like I do, jump in and learn a thing or two, best way to learn is jumping straight into the Fires of the crucible.

In summary, although the requirements seem quite steep, it is for the betterment of the game and eco system, secondly although it seems like a large number, it is achievable with patience and a gradual approach. This is a rough estimate for me but at least an achievable goal. If I can almost double my SPS within 6 weeks when looking at a lower estimate, it sets a clear path for me moving forward. Not everyone has Dry Powder to invest however look what you can earn from within the game. I treat my Splinterlands account as a Bank account and have adopted simple business models to ensure that I am compounding on my interest and investing in the right areas.
