Another Opportunity for Splinterlands Players to Earn

A good friend and fellow TeamPH Community Board Member @aceofhearts brought to my attention a new game called Splinter Forge. A Platform which would allow you to use your Splinterlands cards to play in a “Boss Fight Scenario”. Definitely a different dynamic of competition, where you would chase your opponents through positioning on leaderboards instead of playing against them on the battlefield.

I had heard about this game from Splinterlands Town Halls and through Discord, but have always considered myself a Die Hard Splinterlands Player only. But since the most recent update that limits gameplay, an opportunity to make the most efficient use of your rentals presented itself. For those of you that feel that 50 games is a lot, I have been known to grind down to 0 and also exhume my additional 50 Energy, which gets pretty expensive, what can I say, I am addicted to chasing leaderboards.

Whilst watching Splinterlands TV, I had seen some popular streamers such as @synister (Tales of the Crypt) and @asdfghjkiraaa playing it whilst regenerating their ECR and that there was an earning potential, this left me curious, would this be a good opportunity to bring back to TeamPH? However, after trying it for the first time, I was not really impressed; this was due to the fact that I did not really know what to do and I did not know who to ask. The mechanics of the game did not seem finished.

What made my second attempt at the game different, was the fact that I was invited into the Splinter Forge Discord Channel by @aceofhearts, and to my surprise there were quite a few of our Community Members already in there, actively participating in the game, contributing in the General Chat and fighting on the leaderboards. One thing I noticed was that the community was very welcoming. I also had an opportunity to chat with @rarelyhere, one of the Founders.

@krizalid (Eugene) went the extra mile to explain via private message, the game mechanics, potential strategies and what could be received through the Alpha Crates available. He really gave me the introduction needed for me to invest a little and try out the game with confidence. This is a shining example of a Filipino Community Member. always genuinely willing to assist for nothing in return, but for those that know @mangomayhem, I will ensure that his efforts are not in vain, as sharing of blessings is something very close to my heart.

In order to purchase the Alpha Crates (Equipment for your Hero) or Bags (Potions and Spells) you would need the Splinter Forge Token, as of now it trades at $0.00031, relatively low, great for accumulation, and should you be using the swap function on Tribaldex as I do, there is a decent amount of liquidity, which is always a good thing as you are less likely to suffer from High Slippage or high expenses through bridging.

I purchased 100 Crates (I also received a bonus of 10 free crates) and began my Splinter Forge Journey. You also will receive Airdrops after a certain number of packs are sold. What is different is that these airdrops are legendary items for your Hero and not Tokens. Here is the Breakdown:

So, these items will be available via airdrop after 200,000 packs have been sold. They will be available through normal pack openings, however will not hold the same rarity. Some Armor pieces are still not available but each piece contributes to the overall statistics of your Hero which is used alongside your chosen summoners and monsters.

You can even put spells and attributes on your armor to increase the effectiveness of your hero and to add additional skills to your team. This is what the battlefield looks like:

I tried one of my favorite combinations of cards that I often use in battles when rulesets allow in @Splinterlands, it is a sustain combo boasting mass heal and shield regeneration. The box on the top left shows you, In detail how the battle plays out. The other cool function is that you may skip the battle after you position your cards and start the battle. It is also good to know that there is no timer when picking your Team. You are also allowed to pick 2 summoners. The aim of the game is to last as long as possible and lower the Bosses Health, which is no easy task. You are then rated for your efforts and the game goes towards your ranking in the leaderboards.

image.png

There are Bosses for each of the leagues, bronze, silver, gold and Diamond, as my cards are Maxed, I play in the Diamond League, and all the attributes of the monsters can also be utilized here. I will be playing this later tonight after my Splinterlands Grind.

In Summary, I am sure that there are a lot of things that I still need to find out but can see the potential in this game. But before I promote this to others, I feel it only fair that I give this game the attention it deserves, and lead by example by getting ranked on the Leaderboards, a difficult task but definitely something I would like achieve.

I don't think that I will ever stop playing Splinterlands for this game, however Splinter Forge has the potential to be a great alternative to play whilst resting your account. From what I can see, the Founders are very much in tune with the community and are in for the long haul and not short term gains.

Should you have any questions. queries or advice regarding this game, please do not hesitate as to comment below.

This is MangoMayhem signing out. Ciao for Now. and I look forward to seeing you on either or Battlefields.

Can you delegate, sell or rent the Splinterforge items?

I think you can sell items in SPLEX, but to be honest I haven't really ventured that deep into this, gameplay's pretty cool, reminds me of a PVE game mode.

Well technically if you have a scholar account you can. I am just testing the game so I cannot comment whether this will be a long term initiative for me personally. If you would like to venture into playing this also just let me know.

100 Creates? Wow. Clearly, that is a whale-like move.

I use what I have and grind for over a month to get a create.
THis method is clearly very slow and not worth the FORGE.

It appears that you need to get ITEMS so that you can stay on the LB to reduce the time to generate a positive ROI. Then afterward, I can say everything else is pure profit.

No this is a testing move :) The whale - like move comes after we have tested and have seen the benefits of this game in accordance with our community. Mica Mentioned Scholarship, not a bad idea I will discuss with the board today.

Yes bro that's the point right? You have to be able to utilize your assets the best way possible, that will lead to long term holding. But Like I said testing phase muna.
