Current Game Experience to date from a personal perspective

I am actually really enjoying Splinterlands at the moment, I have always played every day however as I am almost complete with all my Soul bound Cards therefore am no longer going “Ham’ on energy and saving my DEC for bigger things to come. I have made some decent progress on both the Gladiator and Soul Bound cards, just praying to the RnG Gods to drop me a singular BCX of Noah the Just (RF) and 2 more BCX for Iziar (RF) and I will most definitely be a happy bunny. Perhaps I can maximize the effect of some new Metas that I have been working on in preparation for the Rank updates come 5th December 2023. With the discontinuation of untamed in Modern proposed for December 05th on the launch of Rebellion, and the fact that I have already maxed out both Chaos and Rift Watchers, I will look to max out the newest set in a speedier fashion. Currently I am accumulating Gold Foil cards from Chaos (Through Pack opening of course) for my main account and building up another Diamond League Scholar Deck in the process. With a Gold Foil deck, it seems extremely profitable and will allow me to compete in the Gold Foil Frays especially once moving to Tier 4 in the not so distant future.

I have managed to get onto the Champ Leaderboards each season, but it is apparent that the competition has become fiercer, I cannot say that all of the Bots and Battle Helpers have been eradicated however I do know a lot more Human Interaction is occurring. Tournaments and Brawls do seem to be easier now to get a decent result however there are some IGN’s that raise questions, but this is being investigated and when there is hard evidence will be brought to the attention of our community leaders with hope that something maybe done. I do sometimes feel that integrity amongst OG’s especially, set the premise for the community and I am happy to say that there are more good ones than shady ones within Splinterlands.

TeamPH Community

Why do I love my community so much? I think it is just the fact of people helping each other, the occasional banter, and the willingness to support where necessary. We have really tried to uplift our community especially with the Esports Faction that we are building and have now launched the following initiatives:

Monthly Splinterlands Tournament (Silver League Modern League) – This has been consistent for 6 Months now, it is supported by other Hive Tribes such as PIMP, THGAMING, Cryptoshots and now LOLZ and of course TeamPH. These monthly tournaments are a great way to reward our token holders, a safe environment to play competitively and building a foundation and network with like minded tribes. Its all about helping each other, like our slogan says “Together we Thrive Kapamilya” (Together as a family we will thrive) – We practice what we preach here at TeamPH.

Sealed Tournaments – @Damour and @Gotb are now hosting our sealed tournament in which 8 players have an opportunity to participate. We will be hosting this potentially 2 times a month (1 for Diamond / Champ League and the other at Silver League). The next one will be streamed live on the 4th November and I am thankful for the support from other communities within Splinterlands who have sponsored the entrance fee to allow certain players to play. I know this will be a competitive way to improve esports within our community and hope that Splinterlands can use this as an indicator to what may work moving forward.

The Leaders of TeamPH really are focusing on our community and initiatives to support growth within the eco system. One of our targets are to bring back the availability of scholarships and get “investors” within our community more active through sponsorships of players. Once the new initiatives pass within organization, I will be revealing more, I do think that there are exciting times ahead.

Potential Battle Helpers in all Leagues (Especially Champion)

As you are well aware, the TeamPH Community, especially its leaders are anti – bot whilst playing ranked battles in Modern Format in Splinterlands. Our community is extremely competitive boasting numerous Leaderboard players (who do not require automated services to increase win percentage). The most recent proposal was aimed at eradicating bots from Modern, it has been a more enjoyable experience and more competitive, there has been more action on the rental market due to players seeking out the best cards to put them in the best situation.

Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for other community members outside of TeamPH. Whilst I take my hat off to those that have publicly made it aware that they are taking onboard scholars to play their personal accounts and evenly splitting the rewards, it is apparent that some accounts are still not following the changes to the TOS, are the Leaderboard and ranked rewards really worth account banning? Well I guess for them it’s a yes, whilst I can understand that we are still in a bear market and our community is at a loss due to the market conditions, I would have expected a rally from our Community to push for a positive gaming experience instead of putting a damper on improvements. I though the Crypto Space was all about Peace, Prosperity and Freedom, I have to admit I have not really felt that from the majority more from a minority. (The minority holding majority stake of course)

I enjoyed reading some of the chat in the Mavs Server especially when these proposals were being pushed through, the amount of people throwing their toys out of the pram made me somehow chuckle, but also brought uncertainty in my eyes regarding the integrity of people, greed somehow seemed to overthrow logic in growing a player base. I am grateful that these proposals pushed through, it has brought a lot of “Real” Players back into the game and has highlighted certain individuals that really are great at this game giving them the limelight and recognition that they deserve.

I hope that you have enjoyed reading the update to my Splinterlands Journey, I will make it known I am not going anywhere, the game is awesome, the community gives me the same feeling. I have made a lot of friends and have helped others to grow through Team Work. I feel that we as an organization are making a difference. I will continue to invest, whilst others may fade, it is an opportunity for a new breed of community to rise from the ashes.
