My Late Night Reflection on Splinterlands

Hi there Splinterfam, I have recently started to write Poetry again, some may find that strange coming from Team Philippines' proclaimed Dog of War, however somethings are best expressed and articulated through a more creative approach.

It is an interesting time to be in the Crypto Space, it seems that we are still in a Bear Market and I have witnessed much negativity focused primarily on the Founders, Developers and Key Stake Holders. I think it is important to emphasize to you all that not everyone feels this way, some are hopeful and are willing to support as best as they can. We can see the work that is being put in, however is this being reciprocated by those who are outspoken full of negativity? I hope you enjoy the read.

Splinterlands is not just a game for me,
It is escapism, another universe, literally,
It helped me through the most challenging time in my existence
Who would have though a game could rejuvenate my resilience,

To overcome challenges through determination and will
To keep things in perspective to bring back feelings of thrill,
The competitive edge, watching an investment materialize
Takes hard work and dedication, patience and compromise.

It is a millennial thing, just a Video Game they say
Where’s the money, why do you have to pay to play
Couldn’t you do something better with your money
Invest in another business instead of something a little funny

It’s a Ponzi Scheme, too much time on your computer instead of actual work
Why can you not see that, instead of having that smirk
There are so many reasons why you shouldn’t play this game
My response is that I can help people more this way, each and every day

Peace prosperity and freedom the Founders do preach
It is down to the community to actively teach
To be a decent human being, there are benefits to helping one another
Solidifying that moral fiber can overcome material desire

The investment is in people, creating a digital realm for co-existence,
Through growth and expansion, and genuine persistence
I believe in this, and through Splinterlands we can start an outreach
Let us help those less fortunate through more than just speech

I still have that spark, that will to learn,
That sense of belonging, that hunger to earn,
And within this Eco System, there are Mentors that can be found
That can Inspire you to be better, to be Digitally Bound

You can make a difference, show your support for the love of the game
Purchase and Hold Assets, that is where we should all aim
Take Pride in Splinterlands, it is time for the community to shine
5 Year anniversary is imminent, it’s DEC Burning Time.
