Heyy what's up my people, how are you, I hope very well and as always I want to welcome you once again to my art blog, this time I want to share with you a new participation for the dynamics of the #Splinterlands community; my chosen card this week for my entry was the card (Silvershield Bard) which I had not seen before and I found it casually while reviewing all the cards of its element. It turns out that this character I chose is about a kind of order of warriors which are dedicated to raise the morale and spirit of their companions on the battlefield with their powerful voice and sweet singing; although they are not the most skilled fighters, if they are vital piece for anyone to give up or give up when the battles become harder and harder:

Heyy que pasa mi gente? ¿Cómo están?, espero que muy muy bien y como siempre quiero darles la bienvenida una vez mas a mi blog de arte, en esta oportunidad les quiero compartir una nueva participación para la dinámica de la comunidad de #Splinterlands; mi carta elegida esta semana para mi entrada fue la carta (Silvershield Bard) la cual no había visto antes y me la encontré casualmente mientras revisaba todas las cartas de su elemento. Resulta que este personaje que elegí se trata de una especie de orden de guerreros los cuales se dedican a elevar la moral y el espíritu de sus compañeros dentro del campo de batalla con su poderosa voz y su dulce canto; aunque no sean los mas habilidosos luchadores, si son pieza vital para que nadie baje los brazos o se rinda cuando las batallas se hacen más y más duras:

PROCESS / PROCESO

To give shape to my idea the first thing I did was to make a sketch or basic outline in which the girl (Silvershield Bard) held between her arms and chest a big guitar, with a very loose clothing and a big hat on her head; to start with the painting of the skin I decided to choose a very light brown tone to give a blonde appearance to the character, here I first created strokes with airbrush and then move to the brushes with a little more opacity. The painting of the eyeballs I started from an intermediate gray, then with airbrush I gave a little light on the edges to achieve a better realism; once the basic shape of the eye was ready I created a new layer and began to paint the inner iris of the eyes, in this case as the skin would be very blonde I chose an intermediate electric blue color that I thought would fit and would make an excellent contrast in the face.

Para darle forma a mi idea lo primero que hice fue realizar un boceto o delineado básico en el cual la chica (Silvershield Bard) sostuviese entre sus brazos y su pecho una gran guitarra, con una ropa muy holgada y un gran sombrero sobre su cabeza; para iniciar con el pintado de la piel decidí elegir un tono marrón muy claro para darle una apariencia rubia al personaje, aquí primero cree trazos con aerógrafo y luego pase a los pinceles con un poco mas de opacidad. El pintado de los globos oculares lo empecé desde un gris intermedio, luego con aerógrafo fui dándole un poco de luz en los bordes para así lograr un mejor realismo; una vez la forma básica del ojo estaba lista cree una nueva capa y empecé a pintar el iris interno de los ojos, en este caso como la piel seria muy rubia pues elegí un color azul eléctrico intermedio que me pareció se acoplaría y haría un excelente contraste en la cara.

Painting hair is always interesting to me and that's why I always try to give my personal touch to each of my characters, I start working with a watercolor base mixing gently with airbrush to get a first basic relief, then with a fine brush I create the strands randomly, in this case part of the hair would be covered by the hat so it made it easier for me, so I created most of the strands in front in the fringe.

Pintar cabello siempre me resulta interesante y por ello siempre trato de darle mi toque personal a cada uno de mis personajes, empiezo trabajando con una base de acuarela mezclando suavemente con aerógrafo para conseguir un primer relieve básico, luego con un pincel fino voy creando lo mechones de forma aleatoria; en este caso parte del cabello estaría cubierto por el sombrero así que me facilito mucho la labor, así que cree la mayoría de mechones al frente en el flequillo.

The clothing of (Silvershield Bard) I must confess was the most difficult and also the most delayed of the whole process of painting my drawing, so much so that I had to section everything in several folders, in the first folder I was creating what would be the part of the grayish blouse that the character wears, for this I used a lot of airbrush to make the blouse look very thin and soft; then for the top part of the suit I played a little more with the colors and brushes because my intention was to make the fabric look much thicker, first I started with colors like fuchsia for the base and then I went to the more saturated pinks to achieve good brightness. For the painting of the gloves I also used airbrush since I was not looking for a very thick fabric here, and for the parts around the gloves I did exactly the same; where I did change the brushes a little and obviously the colors was in the golden buckles on his belt and sleeves, here I tried to make them look as if they were made of pure gold.

La vestimenta de (Silvershield Bard) debo confesar fue lo más difícil y también lo mas demorado de todo el proceso de pintado de mi dibujo, tanto así que tuve que seccionar todo en varias carpetas, en la primera carpeta fui creando lo que serian la parte de la blusa grisácea que lleva el personaje, para esto use mucho aerógrafo para que la blusa se viese muy delgada y suave; luego para la parte del traje de arriba si jugué un poco mas con los colores y los pinceles ya que mi intención era que se viese mucho mas gruesa esta tela, primeo comencé con colores como el fucsia para la base y luego me pase a los rosado mas saturados para lograr buenos brillos. Para el pintado de los guantes use aerógrafo también ya que no buscaba una tela muy gruesa aquí, y para las partas alrededor de los guantes hice exactamente lo mismo; donde si cambien un poco los pinceles y obviamente los colores fue en las hebillas doradas que lleva en su cinturón y las mangas, aquí si trate de que se viesen como si estuvieran hechas de oro puro.

For the painting of the guitar as a mariachi I worked only with flat tip brushes and with a lot of opacity and hardness, for the body of the instrument I used a mixture of light brown tones with dark browns and a little orange color for the front and the neck where the strings go; I was texturing a little as I was creating slight shadows on the bottom and of course adding vesical lines to give a better impression that the guitar is made of genuine wood. The small dagger in his hand gives a feeling to the character that although his job is to encourage the troops it can also be useful when fighting, for this dagger I worked a lot with gray tones and blue tones so that the blade looked extremely sharp and shiny; as an additional touch and to give a little more prominence to the character and his instrument I decided to paint some musical notes floating in the air giving the feeling that the sound of music is being present to encourage the troops.

Para el pintado de la guitarra como de mariachi trabaje únicamente con pinceles de punta plana y con mucha opacidad y dureza, para el cuerpo del instrumente use una mezcla de tonos marrones claros con marrones oscuros y un poco de color naranja para la parte de enfrente y el mástil donde van las cuerdas; fui texturizando un poco a medida que iba creando sombras leves en la parte de abajo y por supuesto agregando líneas vesicales para dar una mejor impresión de que la guitarra esta hecha de genuina madera. La pequeña daga en su mano le da una sensación al personaje de que a pesar que su labor es animar a la tropas también puede ser útil a la hora de combatir, para esta daga trabaje mucho los tonos grises y los tonos azules para que la hoja se viese sumamente filosa y brillante; como toque adicional y para darle un poco más de protagonismo al personaje y a su instrumento pues decidí pintar algunas notas musicales flotando por el aire dando la sensación de que el sonido de la música se esta haciendo presente para animar a las tropas.
