Splinterlands Art Contest Week 349 | Pirate Captain 🏴‍☠️

Very good morning my dear readers of #Hive, happy Tuesday to all and I hope you are having an excellent and productive day, here greets you as always your friend Manuel super happy to share with you a new artistic post for my blog.

Today I am here to present you my most recent entry for the dynamic of each week of my dear people of #Splinterlands, where we must choose one of the characters of the cards of your game and make an artistic representation; this time I wanted to choose a character related to the world of pirates as it is the card (Pirate Captain), these Pirates of ΛZMΛRÉ are unreliable person because they are the most cunning and dangerous creatures that exist within the scattered lands, they are dedicated to sail the seas in search of the greatest treasures they can find, and they care little to face in hard and bloody battles to achieve appropriation of these treasures:

Muy buenos días mis queridas lectoras y lectores de #Hive, feliz martes para todos y espero que estén teniendo un excelente y productivo día, por aquí los saluda como siempre su amigo Manuel super feliz de poder compartirles un nuevo post artístico para mi blog.

En el día de hoy me encuentro por aquí para presentarles mi mas reciente entrada para la dinámica de cada semana de mi querida gente de #Splinterlands, donde debemos elegir uno de los personajes de las cartas de su juego y realizar una representación artística; esta vez quise elegir un personaje relacionado con el mundo de los piratas como lo es la carta de (Pirate Captain), estos Los Piratas de ΛZMΛRÉ son persona de poco fiar ya que son de las criaturas más astutas y peligrosas que existen dentro de las tierras esparcidas, se dedican a surcar los mares en busca de los tesoros mas grandes que puedan encontrar, y les importa poco enfrentarse en duras y sangrientas batallas para lograr apropiarse de estos tesoros:

PROCESS / PROCESO

The first thing in my creative process was to make the main sketch and give her (Pirate Captain) a quite stylized feminine appearance, for this I drew her in a medium body structure, wearing of course a classic pirate outfit and holding between her hands a big and sharp sword. Once I finished with the sketching process I like to take a little time to choose good colors to give life to my works, usually I like to start with reddish tones, but this time I opted more for a Salmon base tone for the skin, here I alternate a little the watercolor and airbrush brushes to establish the details of volume and shadows on the skin, as well as the brightness in high areas.

Lo primero en mi proceso creativo fue realizar el boceto principal y darle a (Pirate Captain) una apariencia femenina bastante estilizada, para esto la dibuje en una estructura de cuerpo medio, vistiendo por supuesto una clásica indumentaria pirata y sosteniendo entre sus manos una gran y afilada espada. Una vez termine con el proceso de bocetado me gusta tomarme un poco de tiempo para elegir buenos colores para darle vida a mis obras, por lo general me gusta empezar con tonos rojizos, pero esta vez opte más por un tono Salmon base para la piel, aquí alterne un poco los pinceles de acuarela y aerógrafo para estableces los detalles de volumen y sombras en la piel, así como también los brillos en zonas altas.

For the 2nd stage I took care of creating the expression on the face of (Pirate Captain), with respect to the lips I drew a smiling mouth with full intense red tones giving it a little more rounded volume; then for the eyes I painted them with light blue tones looking straight to the front of the canvas. With respect to the clothes I kept the classic pirate style that the character originally wears in the letter, with gray tones I created a white shirt a little loose, with long sleeves and gathered in the abdomen area to give a little more sensuality to the character; then with colors like red, black and yellow I created an open vest just above the shirt.

Para la 2da etapa me ocupe de crear la expresión en el rostro de (Pirate Captain), con respecto a los labios dibuje una boca sonriente con tonos rojos full intensos dándole un volumen un poco mas redondeado; luego para los ojos los pinte con tonos azulados claros mirando fijamente hacia el frente del lienzo. Con respecto a la ropa mantuve el estilo clásico pirata que lleva el personaje originalmente en la carta, con tonos grises cree una camisa de color blanco un poco holgada, de mangas largas y recogida en la zona del abdomen para darle un poco mas de sensualidad al personaje; después con colores como el rojo, negro y amarillo cree un chaleco abierto justo por arriba de la camisa.

For the hair I chose to use yellow tones to give a blonde appearance to the character, I varied a little the tones in this part and tried to make the texture of the hair look as realistic as possible and with some loose strands of hair. Then on his head I used similar tones to the ones I had previously used on his pants to create a pirate scarf covering his hair and complementing the classic clothing of this type of character. To create the sword I went more towards the range of grayish blue tones, here the important thing first is to establish the basic shape of the blade of the sword that in this case would have a large size, then with blue tones a little darker to place the shadows in the right areas, especially in the hilt; and finally with very very light blue and white tones I was detailing even more the metal and giving the right brightness to make the sword look very real.

Para la cabellera opte por usar tonos amarillos para darle una apariencia rubia al personaje, varíe un poco los tonos en esta parte y trate que la textura del pelo se viese lo mas realista posible y con algunos mechones de pelo sueltos. Luego sobre su cabeza use tonos similares a los que había usado previamente en sus pantalones para crear una pañoleta pirata cubriendo su pelo y complementando la indumentaria clásica de este tipo de personajes. Para crear la espada me fui más hacia la gama de los tonos azules grisáceos, aquí lo importante primero es estableces la forma básica de la hoja de la espada que en este caso tendría un gran tamaño, luego con tonos azules un poco mas oscuros ir colocando las sombras en las zonas adecuadas, sobre todo en la empuñadura; y ya finalmente con azules muy muy claros y con tonos blancos fui detallando aún más el metal y dando los brillos justos para que la espada se viese muy real.
