Splinterlands Art Contest Week 373 | Captain Fellblade

Very good morning my dear readers of #Hive, happy Tuesday to all those who are here reading me this morning and I hope you are feeling very well, here your friend Manuel greets you once again, super happy to be able to bring you a new artistic post for my blog. On this occasion I bring you a new entry for the dynamics of this new week from my dear people from the #Splinterlands community, in which each week we choose characters from their card game to make an artistic representation of our style or taste; In this case I chose a completely new card for me, it is the card of (Captain Fellblade), which is basically the most infamous pirate who has ever raised the pirate flag and sailed the seas, not even the Immortals can face her cursed sword, and it is said that she will come out of the shadows to lead the fight against the Empire of Chaos and subdue her Ascendancy:

Muy buenos días mis queridos lectores y lectoras de #Hive, feliz martes para todos los que se encuentran por aquí leyéndome en este mañana y ojalá se encuentren super bien, por aquí los saluda una vez más su amigo Manuel super feliz de poder traerles un nuevo post artístico para mi blog. En esta ocasión les traigo una nueva entrada para la dinámica de esta nueva semana de mi querida gente de la comunidad de #Splinterlands, en la cual cada semana escogemos personajes de su juego de cartas para realizar una representación artística a nuestro estilo o gusto; en este caso elegí una carta totalmente nueva para mí, se trata de la carta de (Captain Fellblade), la cual básicamente es la pirata más infame que jamás haya izado la bandera pirata y surcado los mares, ni siquiera los Inmortales pueden hacer frente a su espada maldita, y se dice que ella saldrá de las sombras para liderar la lucha contra el Imperio del Caos y doblegar a su Ascendencia:

PROCESS / PROCESO

I started my illustration by building a sketch composed of several lines to define a little the basic shape of my representation of (Captain Fellblade), in this case I tried to make a more portrait-style illustration to focus a lot on the details of the face, hair and of course the weapon that this character carries. When I finished the sketch I moved on to the next section, the coloring section. Regarding the skin, I decided to start with a little more reddish tones to work on the base. In this case I used the airbrush for the main volume, and watercolor for the details of the eyelids and nose.

Empecé mi ilustración construyendo un boceto compuesto por varias líneas para ir definiendo un poco la forma básica de mi representación de (Captain Fellblade), en este caso traté de hacer una ilustración un poco mas a estilo retrato para enfocarme bastante en los detallas del rostro, cabello y por supuesto el arma que lleva este personaje. Al terminar con el boceto me pasé al siguiente apartado, el del coloreado, con respecto a la piel decidí empezar con unas tonalidades un poco mas rojizas para trabajar la base, en este caso usé el aerógrafo para el volumen principal, y la acuarela para los detalles de parpados y nariz.

Regarding the appearance of the eyes and mouth, use shades that contrast a little more with the skin. For the eyes, use yellowish tones to work well with the iris and pupils of the eyes, giving them a more serious and intimidating look; In the case of the mouth, I did use pink tones that I had in my color palette and that I thought would complement it very well. In the case of the hair it was a little easier since it would be mostly covered under the (Captain Fellblade) tunic, but even if I wanted to give it a lot of detail, here I used slightly more intense brown tones, creating the texture of strands of hair with a dreadlock style, letting some dreadlocks fall on the front.

Con respecto al aparatado de los ojos y la boca use tonalidades un poco mas contrastantes con la piel, para los ojos use tonos amarillentos para trabajar bien el iris y las pupilas de los ojos dándole una mirada un poco mas seria e intimidante; en el caso de la boca si use tonos rosados que tenia en mi paleta de colores y que me pareció le complementarían muy bien. En el caso del cabello fue un poco más fácil ya que este estaría mayormente cubierto debajo de la túnica de la (Captain Fellblade), pero aun si quise darle mucho detalle, aquí use tonos marrones un poco mas intensos, creando la textura de mechones de cabello con estilo de rastas, dejando caer una que otra rasta en la parte frontal.

For the clothing section I used a wide variety of purple, violet and purple tones, with the purple ones I created what would be the basic suit adjusted to the body silhouette of (Captain Fellblade), in this case I only used a watercolor brush to achieve a specific texture; then with purple tones create what would be the striking tunic or cape that this character wears, here I did use the airbrush to achieve a slightly more rustic texture, but with yellow, white and orange tones work gold details on the edges of the hood, the shoulder pads, as well as create a large gold medallion on his chest. To finish with the weapon, use gray and gold tones. With the gray, create the base of the metal placed on your shoulder, and with the gold tones, form the edge at the top by placing a lot of glitter.

Para el apartado de la vestimenta use una gran variedad de tonos morados, violetas y purpuras, con los purpuras cree lo que sería el traje básico ajustado a la silueta del cuerpo de (Captain Fellblade), en este caso solo use pincel de acuarela para lograr una textura especifica; luego con tonos morados cree lo que sería la túnica o capa tan llamativa que porta este personaje, aquí si use el aerógrafo para lograr una textura un poco mas rustica, pero con tonos amarillos, blancos y naranjas trabaje detalles dorados en los bordes de la capucha, los hombreras, así como también cree un gran medallón dorado en su pecho. Para finalizar con el arma use tonos grises y dorados, con los grises cree la base del metal sobre puesto en su hombro, y con los tonos dorados forme ya el filo en la parte superior colocando muchos brillos.
