Splinterlands Fan Art | Celestial Guardian

Heyyyyy, good morning, my dear readers and members of the #Hive artistic community! Happy Friday to everyone reading this here this morning. Your friend Manuel here is super happy to share a new artistic post for my blog with you. This time, I bring you an illustration focused on the game #Splinterlands, specifically on the card (Celestial Guardian), which is about a winged and radiant Elani from the higher planes called Caelion, someone who travels the skies of Splinterlands not as a ruler or judge, but as a guardian of balance, someone who does not boast or brag about his heroic deeds or his celestial heritage. But when the roar of battle fills the air and the earth trembles under the burden of the legions of Chaos, he is there to face them head-on, steadfast, unperturbed, and unwilling to yield. I had this piece done a couple of weeks ago for the weekly #Splinterlands community activity, but since the activity seems to have been paused, I didn't want to waste my work, so I hope you like it:

Heyyyyy, muy buenos días mis queridos lectores y lectoras de la comunidad artística de #Hive, feliz viernes para todos los que por aquí me leen por en esta mañana del día de hoy, por aquí los saluda su amigo Manuel super feliz de poder compartirles un nuevo post artístico para mi blog. En esta ocasión les traigo una ilustración enfocada en el juego de #Splinterlands, concretamente en la carta de (Celestial Guardian), la cual trata de un Elani de los planos superiores, alado y radiante llamado Caelion, alguien que recorre los cielos de Splinterlands no como gobernante ni como juez, sino como guardián del equilibrio, alguien que no alardea ni se jacta de sus hazañas heroicas ni de su herencia celestial, Pero cuando el rugido de la batalla llena el aire y la tierra tiembla bajo la carga de las legiones del Caos, él está allí para enfrentarse a ellas de frente, firme, imperturbable y sin voluntad de ceder. Esta obra la tenia hecha desde hace un par de semanas atrás para la dinámica semanal de la comunidad de #Splinterlands, pero como al parecer la dinámica se pauso pues no quise desperdicia mi obra, así que espero les guste:

PROCESS / PROCESO

I started the sketch as usual, drawing the Celestial Guardian right in the center of my canvas, standing on top of a high mountain touching the clouds, with his arms open as if raising them toward the sky to expel energy from his palms. I also tried to make his wings very prominent, creating a kind of protective shield around him. Once I had defined the structure well and captured my idea, I moved on to the next section, coloring. In this case, I used saturated tones such as salmon to define the shape of the body, the volume, and the musculature of his arms, legs, and so on. In this section, I like to soften the lines a little with my watercolor brush, which allows me to mix the tones a little to achieve greater realism.

Empecé el boceto como es de costumbre, dibuje al (Celestial Guardian) justo en el centro de mi lienzo, parado en la cima de una alta montaña que rosa con las nubes, con los brazos abiertos como elevándolos hacia el cielo para expulsar energía desde sus palmas, así como también trate de que sus alas tuviesen mucho protagonismo haciendo una especie de escudo protector alrededor de él. Una vez logre definir bien la estructura y plasmar mi idea pase al siguiente apartado, el de coloreado, en este caso use unos tonos saturados como el Salmon para definir un poco la forma del cuerpo, el volumen y la musculatura de sus brazos, piernas y demás; en este apartado me gusta suavizar un poco los trazos con mi pincel de acuérdala el cual me permite mezclar un poco las tonalidades para lograr un mejor realismo.

In the arm area, use blue tones to create marks or tattoos that diagonally conform to the shape of the Celestial Guardian's arms. Similarly, use these same blue tones to begin creating the base of the character's eyes. In this case, the eyes would have a pearly, shiny appearance, completely blue with no irises or pupils. Then, for the clothing, use light brown tones and a little yellow to first create a kind of tunic that partially covers from the waist down, and a diagonal line that runs across the torso to the back. In the limb area, use yellow and orange tones to create gold accessories such as bracelets on the forearms and ankles.

En la zona de los brazos use tonos azules para crear unas marcas o tatuajes que fuesen diagonalmente amoldasen a la forma de los brazos del (Celestial Guardian), del mismo modo use estos mismos tonos azules para empezar a crear la base de los ojos del personaje, en este caso los ojos tendrían esa apariencia medio perlada y brillante, totalmente azulada sin iris y ni pupilas. Luego para el trabajo de la ropa use tonos marrones claros y un poco de amarillos para crear en primer lugar una especie de túnica que cubriese parcialmente desde la cintura hacia abajo, y una línea diagonal que pasara por el torso hasta atrás. En la zona de las extremidades use tonos amarillos y naranjas para crear accesorios de oro como brazaletes en los antebrazos y los tobillos.

To create the wings, I used a pale yellow base, then with the airbrush brush I created a certain soft volume and individually detailed the plumage of the wings to give them a slightly rough texture and a good level of realism. For the large gold ring that this character wears on his back, I used intense shades of yellow, orange, and a little white. For this part, I used my square brush to achieve better detail in the gold metal, in a similar way to how I created the detail in the gold bracelets on the clothing. As a setting for the drawing, I decided to make it look as if the Celestial Guardian were standing on the tip of a large rock at the top of a high mountain. To represent the height, I created clouds around and in front of the character.

Para la creación de las alas usé una base de color amarillo pálido, luego con el pincel de aerógrafo fui creando cierto volumen suave y detallando individualmente el plumaje de las alas para darle una textura medio rugosa y un buen nivel de realismo. Con respecto al gran anillo de oro que lleva este personaje en la zona de la espalda use tonos amarillos intensos, naranja, y un poco de blanco, en esta parte use mi pincel cuadrado para lograr un mejor detallado en el metal del oro, de una manera bastante similar a como cree el detallado del oro de los brazaletes de la ropa. Como escenario para el dibujo se me ocurrió ambientar todo como si el (Celestial Guardian) se encontrara parado sobre la punta de una gran roca en la cima de una alta montaña, y para representar la altura cree nubes alrededor y al frente del personaje.
