Card Prices and My Future Goals.

With Rebellion out a few weeks now the pricing for a max level set has somewhat stabilized hitting around $7k mark. It should be clear that the total isn’t going to be the same today as in a year from now since airdrops from Conflict has yet to start. In essence we are not accounting the future cards that are to be added to the set. In any case $7k for now.

Then there is Chaos. As it presently stands a max level regular Chaos set would be around $1700.

Not at it’s all time lows but closer to its low than it’s all time highs. The supply of Chaos is simply over saturated and in latest Town Hall there was discussion on planned quarter one 2024 to burn cards for promotion rewards. This is hinting on trying to reduce the current Chaos in circulation which may help prices in the long run.

For the set before Chaos it was Untamed. Since Untamed news of removal from Modern the set value has plummeted.

The plan here is that the older sets would be valued in other parts of the game such as staking in land than be played in battles. In general having a new set of cards outplay older ones in hopes for all players willing to spend for new cards is the main goal. This was all mentioned in the latest Town Hall.

With the pricing info on hand I want to put forth a plan of what I will be planning to do come this next year.

New Soul bound reward cards are mentioned to be revealed sometime this summer. This will mean current soul bounds will be out of print. Sales of the out of print cards can the. Come to play but holders have to likely burn DEC in order to unlock the cards to sell.

With the limited time remaining I am going to play more in hopes of at least maxing out some of those Soul Bound reward cards now. This means I intend to add more cards to stay competitive.

On the other hand since I am limited in funds I will be strategically focusing on specific cards at hand to add rather than my prior goal of getting a max level set. This is because I don’t use a lot of the cards that I make purchase for.

Furthermore I don’t see the benefits of holding Chaos max level set in that I don’t get much of any boost when use on land versus other sets. On the other hand if price seems reasonable I would add the card to stay competitive.

Until next time thanks for reading!!!

If one wants to join Splinterlands, do we need to buy only SPS or we have to buy cards too?
Which is important?

Owning sps earns passively while owning cards require active participation. In the long run doing both I think works.

I wonder if the same issue will happen with rebellion. It makes me wonder where the set price will go from here and Rebellion is still quite new right now. I am still lacking funds for my own rebellion set as well. Modern has been rough.

They cap Rebellion with a lot less packs and making players stake their packs in wagons to get airdrops is only helping in decreasing the supplies even more. Burning Chaos is a good idea. I think overall market will do well.

At the moment if we look the prices are very low and this is a good opportunity to buy good cards and improve your game.
