Day 1 of Rebellion
Today new Splinterlands card series has arrived and players are purchasing them in bulk. In less than 1 hour into presale there have over 200k packs already sold!
The series will open to general public use on Dec 5 with general sales of the remaining packs to also go on sale.
My plan is to hold off until Dec 5 to buy Rebellion cards as it becomes available on the open markets as individual cards.
Meanwhile I am looking at adding Chaos cards so to potentially be ready to be able to compete in modern league.
Today Splinterlands also hosted a show on the Rebellion Presale. There were plenty of golden nuggets dropped regarding the new set.
The promos and leaderboard bonuses are easily found in game. The cards that are going to be hyped are air drop cards as some are legendary summoners.
A new air drop system is in place called conflicts. The packs bought and held while staking Rebellion cards will increase chances of earning more air drops. Also use of vouchers for getting discounts, bonuses, and increase chases of pulling gold foil cards. All in all a lot to look forward to for long term holders.
The current fomo in Rebellion is pushing DEC nearly at par. In addition having the vouchers with uses is also increasing prices for other Splinterlands assets.
In summary Matt is focusing on reducing the supply of assets thereby increase their scarcity and price. The excitement for me is high even without really partaking in this presale. I am hooked on searching for good deals in open markets for legacy cards.

Great to see a solid start to the presale but I’ll be waiting until December 5th most likely as well!
Ugh, a lot of the packs sold. I barely withdrew some HBD from savings today. If I get it out in time, I'll buy 100 packs otherwise, I guess I might wait till the general sale.
