Legacy Cards Use Options?
Last week there was an in game update that won’t allow players to split use legacy cards in events and land. This maybe an opportunity that gives players better odds to earn event rewards with the use of low level legacy cards. Let’s look at an example.
In a recent event I partake was the Gobson Masters Silver event. In order to partake it I had to have sufficient alpha cards power and staked sps. Now I certainly had enough sps staked but interestingly so was my alpha collection power.
When I first started playing the game I steadily added low level alpha cards to my collection since that was what I could afford on a weekly basis. At the time my plan was to combine the cards and level up as I progressed.
Yet along the way I found reselling and renting out the cards as is was earning me decent income so I maintained the cards as is. The drawback is what we are seeing now with low level cards as battles no longer have level ranks.
With a decent amount of alpha cards that I don’t play or use on land I found another way of utilizing the cards. That is to enter events and have the cards available for event battles.
Entry to the tournament is 5sps and since less players qualify and enter the tournament I needed finishing with 2 wins and 7 losses. I ended up finishing 25th which resulted in 12 sps as my rewards.
The plan is for me to see how many events I can qualify to earn more sps. My low level alpha cards that can’t rent out or be used in land I can use their collection power to partake in events. This
Is only possible with the Splinterlands updates.

Good luck with those events. I don't really have the time for them, but is it worth all the time to do so? I am considering what to do because ranked battles have been quite frustrating lately.
Worth it because it’s 24 hours per a round. Similar to guild brawls where you sign in early but have a day or two to setup your formations. Easy profits if you can qualify for alpha events as there aren’t many participants.
