My Splinterlands Rants Jan 2024

The price of DEC has de-peg yet again and pulling down SPS with it.

As of now SPS is at $0.029 but steady. I do think that both tokens will rise once more gets rolled out with Splinterlands.

Speaking of rollouts we will have our first TownHall next week so definitely hyped about that. I have been reading twits and some discussions on what progress will be made by Jan. 18 and I am very optimistic bullish news for both DEC and SPS with whatever comes out.

On another topic relating to land I am fighting a small deficit in my productions. Currently I am spending more in grain than producing but just by a couple of hundred per a day. Still the problem is this isn’t sustainable and to further the problem I have not included the fee when transferring grains to different regions.

2110 minus 1291 equates to a production of 819. Include the 12.5% tax I technically need to be producing every hour approximately 1,118. Now I can either reduce my sps production to avoid deficit or I can bring up my grain production.

I broken into two options for myself. Revise my formations to increase grain production or to buy common totems give myself enough boost to reach grain surplus. The latter is much easier but since DEC is out of peg it is costing a bit more per totem.

My most productive grain plot is at 600 grains an hour. Getting 10% boost it equates to 1440 grains a day. I would need $21 for a common but how many sps would I need to produce to earn that? With sps at $0.03 it is 700 sps. I currently produce about 55 sps a day. It moves a bit based on how much people are mining sps. That equates to about 12.5 days to break even. In the crypto space that is considered a lot of time. Yet it’s an easy fix for my deficit. I may likely go through that option rather than delegating more cards into land plots as I am low on cards that can be utilized competitively.
