Splinterlands How To Rent Staked SPS?

The updated SPS features are a tad bit tricky to get to at the beginning but now after a day or so I have gotten use to the features. Of course with the new roll out there maybe some interface tweaks that left to be desired.

In order to find renting SPS players have two places to get there. First is on the battle page through the manage button that is right of reward boost number.

From there on new page with boost overview, bottom right is the button rent.

Once you click rent a new page with request SPS which then allows you to select how much to rent and at what prices.

Each request for rental SPS is put in as bid and the highest bidders get listed to top of the list for leasers to see. Note there is a escrow fee of 1 DEC for every bid made.

Currently there is slightly under 60k staked SPS in bids total. This is not a lot considering there is over 610 million staked SPS to date.

Another way to get to the staked SPS rental market is to go to SPS page and click manage.

Which brings you to SPS delegation page. Find market and from there you see the current bids of staked SPS.

The tokens allowed to pay in bids are DEC and credit only. This makes it interesting as it takes DEC in order to earn more SPS because we are now a staked SPS rewards system. The process is a fly wheel itself where the less DEC supply the higher the price and the more worth staked SPS will become and the more SPS is worth. Then players may continue playing even more to earn more SPS as they see the increase in value.

Overall I like how the process has started and am interested by current market prices. The highest bid not fulfilled has DEC prices running at 0.009 DEC per 1 staked SPS. Do some simple math here we can see that 1000 equates to 9 DEC. For 50,000 staked SPS that will yield an attractive 450 DEC daily! That is great passive income for those not actively playing. Now I am not going to be renting out my staked SPS but if prices continue to rise I just may will.

Until next time thanks for reading!!!

Great guide. I don't need it but understanding it is always nice. Is there a time out for the bid?

I think some people's like this new feature and some people's not. Some people's don't want to play bet.

I’ve decided to stay out of the market for now until the price normalize a bit. How do you like the market functionality so far?
