Splinterlands - Third Party Rentals Reviewed

avatar

Splinterlands' rental market is truly ahead of its time. Since peakmonsters had a rental system in place for the nfts there has now been more options for players to choose from on how to rent or lease cards. Today we look at some of the different platforms players are using to rent and lease Splinterlands nfts. By no means is my opinion of each rental platform reflects all those who have used the platforms, it is just my own opinions.

Peakmonsters

The first and original Peakmonsters.com has a rental interface that has plenty of functions for users. The interface does have a bit of a learning curve to it but once the player is familiar with it they will definitely enjoy using the platform.

Some of the unique features only Peakmonsters offer is bidding on rentals. This allows users to set price of what they are willing to pay for rentals and once the nft is offered at the price or lower the highest bidder gets the rental.

In addition peakmonsters has a tab for rental history that tracks the users' leases and rentals. It even has a export to excel so users can extract the info for analytical uses.

There is no fees for renting out cards but for leaser a 5% fee off the daily rental price. There is no cashback for leasers.

Splinterlands

The game itself when first introduced did not have an integral rental market. It was only after a couple of years and collaboration with Peakmonsters was there the Splinterland's own interface for rental market.

User interface is very simple and easy to read, but not many tools offered compared to that of Peakmonsters. Yet players who only use the Splinterlands interface will have access to the rental market through the game itself.

Again renters do not have any fees while leasers have 5% fee.

Monstermarket.io

Another platform I have used for renting out cards is through monstermarket.io. There the loading speed for the site is quick and users can see the current cheapest cards avilable to rent depending on the preferred card.

For example looking at a Lava Launcher cheapest 1 bcx rents at 0.396 DEC while multiple bcx lowest price is 0.203 DEC per bcx. This type of information allows users to quickly locate current most lowest cost cards to rent per set, rarity, and type.

Again like Peakmonsters and Splinterlands the renters do not have to pay any additional fees while the leaser pays a 5% daily rental fee.

Splex.GG

For those who have a ton of cards in their collection and wish to have rentals automated look no further than to using Splex.GG. The platform recently integrated with Archmage to bring both auto leasing cards and auto-bot for playing ranked battles.

Focusing specifically on auto leasing user simply click "enable" and they will automatically have their cards rented out at the present highest price possible. If user wants to have only specific cards to be rented out they will have to manual select them through Peakmonsters first. Either way the benefits out way the time and effort it takes to rent out cards. This is because Splex will automatically update the prices of the cards so that users do not have to manual reprice and reset the leases.

With the advantage of automation Splex charges users who use the auto rental system a 10% fee equivalent to the amount for the daily rental. Splex automatically reset and price rentals for the leaser is well worth the extra cost.

Splinterrents

Over on discord platform there is another auto-bot for users to automatically rent out their cards at highest prices on a daily basis. Here is a link if interested.

Splinterrents has its own method of automatically updating the card rentals but it would all be done through discord.

I have not used it myself but was recommended by other players in my guild. One of the benefits of Splinterrents over Splex is that they charge less, the 5% fee for leaser.

Conclusions

With the most amount of tools and first of its kind there is Peakmonsters for renting out Splinterlands cards. Other options such as in game rental and monstermarket.io are simple to use but not very detail with information.

Meanwhile for those who want to lease their cards automatically by using a bot they can go with either Splinterrents or Splex.GG.

Hope this short review of each rental platform is a good summary for players alike. Anyone here have their favorite platform for rentals and why its their favorite?

Until next time thanks for reading!!!

I don't think I have heard about Splinterrents before but it doesn't receive any revenue from renting out cards for people? It sounds a little concerning because you are also giving them your posting keys to set prices right?

A nice review on the rental platforms.
Out of those I only use Peakmonsters as I'm familiar with the interface.
Splex looks interesting though, I'll check it out definitely.

Have my upvote.

Thanks for the summary.
As far as I know with peakmonsters and Splinterlands itself you have to set the rent prices yourself, while splex.gg and splinterrents use automatic algorithms - which is very convenient and time saving!

I find splexh is superfluous, the options with a peakmonsters subscription are at least as good. depends maybe on the quantity of how many cards you have, since peakmonsters is a fixed price, it could be that with fewer cards splex more worthwhile!

I recently joined splinterrents discord and I did like the competition in market as health competition is good for consumers. I was also hoping to give a spt giant vote so others can be aware of another alternative too. I personally use splex.gg

Here have a !1UP for timely spreading awareness!
