Splinterlands Tokens Not Securities!
The recent ruling that XRP token is not considered a trading security will have significant impact on other tokens throughout the crypto space. That includes Splinterlands tokens.
Tokens not being securities would not be taxed as much or even at all. Yet owners will be able to freely trade the tokens on exchanges as they wish as it should be.
Future for crypto looks brighter than ever with this ruling and I personally am going to be staking more SPS.
As excited as I am with the ruling it should be clarified that this is not set in stone. The SEC who filed original law suit against XRP could apply for appeal and drag this case out until it turns it o their favor. Yet for now we can be cautiously optimistic that crypto tokens trading won’t be as strict as other assets such as bonds, stocks, and funds.

I think the XRP lawsuit is great news for crypto and I am glad it will also make things a lot better for Splinterlands too. However, I think the SEC can always appeal and I hope that appeal fails.
